I posted a Happy Birthday post to him on my Instagram and lost 5 followers. That was so sad to me that sharing my authentic experiences, including sadness scared some people away! We ALL have to deal with tough things - death, health issues, job losses, war - this is a tough life. By loving and accepting ourselves and our struggles, we can be more accepting in general! We can learn to grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally instead of avoiding or stuffing our emotions. I'm proud to wish my Dad a Happy Birthday and celebrate his life regardless of how others act.
