It was one of those days when nothing seemed exciting enough, so Jamie, the older and more mischievous of the two, decided to spice things up.
“Hey, Gracie,” Jamie said with a sly grin, “wanna play a game of Truth or Dare?”
Gracie, who knew her sister well enough to be suspicious, raised an eyebrow. “Truth or Dare? Last time we played that, you made me sing into a hairbrush in front of Mom’s friends.”
Jamie chuckled. “Yeah, but this time it’ll be even better. Come on, don’t be such a chicken.”
Gracie, never one to back down from a challenge, sighed. “Fine. Dare.”
Jamie’s grin widened into something wicked. “Okay, I dare you to climb up on the kitchen counter... and give yourself an atomic wedgie.”
Gracie blinked in shock. “An atomic wedgie? Are you kidding me?”
Jamie laughed, loving the reaction. “Nope, not kidding. That’s the dare. You know the rules: no backing out once you choose dare!”
Gracie groaned but couldn’t resist the challenge. “You are so mean,” she muttered, standing up and heading toward the kitchen with Jamie following closely behind, grinning like a cat about to pounce.
They arrived at the kitchen, and Gracie stared at the counter for a second, mentally preparing herself. “This is so ridiculous,” she muttered, before hopping up and climbing onto the countertop.
Jamie, leaning against the doorframe with her arms crossed, watched eagerly. “Go on! Let’s see it!” she teased.
Gracie sighed, giving her sister one last glare before reaching behind her to grab the waistband of her underwear. She pulled it up slowly at first, making a face as it tugged higher and higher. But Jamie, not satisfied with the effort, egged her on.
“No half-hearted wedgie! You know what an atomic wedgie is—get it up there!” Jamie laughed.
Gracie, both embarrassed and determined not to let Jamie get the better of her, yanked her underwear up as high as she could until it was almost over her head. The waistband stretched painfully, and Gracie winced, her face turning red.
“There! Happy now?” she groaned, her underwear practically pulling her off balance as she squirmed on the counter.
Jamie was in hysterics, laughing so hard she was nearly in tears. “Oh my gosh, Gracie! That is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen! Atomic wedgie champion right here!”
Gracie, finally reaching her limit, let go and quickly adjusted her underwear, jumping down from the counter with a frown. “You’re the worst, Jamie,” she muttered, trying to suppress a smile.
Jamie wiped away a tear from laughing. “Hey, you could’ve picked truth!”
“Yeah, yeah,” Gracie said, shaking her head but grinning despite herself. “Next time it’s your turn, and I’m not going easy on you.”
Jamie raised an eyebrow, still chuckling. “We’ll see about that.”
The rest of the day went on, with Gracie secretly plotting her revenge for the next game of Truth or Dare. But even as she rubbed her sore waist, she couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity
