🕑 Added 2023-05-13 09:35:09 +0000 UTC That's another week behind us. I've had three magical days this week. I had a time with one handsome man, I know for sure our friendship will continue, but alas, at a distance, this makes me a little sad. Anyway, it was three warm evenings of open conversation and three nights of hot love. I love open people who appreciate and enjoy every moment of this life no matter what. Sometimes outright trust scares, but when a person is determined by spirituality and the belief that our spirit has more power than ourselves, which helps us overcome adversity. People don't often have such views, it comes in spite of. As it turned out, he lost not so long ago the best friend in his life, his sister, they did not have time to save her, cancer took her life. Of course, I am bitter that this happens to anyone. At this point, you overestimate past experiences and worry about what the future might be. In any case, I remain grateful. Gratitude is being grateful for what you have, and not focusing on your problems. It's hard for me to hold on to who I was, I find peace in freeing myself from control and opening up to what has become the new normal for me. I have discovered a new meaning in life that helps me move forward.
I help those who have cancer to mourn the loss of who they were (we write letters to each other). In part, it helps them see that while cancer may define who they are now, it will eventually become just a part of their lives. It can strengthen their sense of purpose or open the door to new possibilities of who they can be. Being diagnosed with cancer, I was also looking for an understanding of what my life would be like during and after treatment.
Some of you remember my story, I wrote about it once, but then deleted the account because I wanted to cross it all out. But it doesn't work that way, you can't forget yourself.
Will there ever be a moment when a person finally defeats cancer? Like the plague, for example. Absolutely not, because cancer is a multitude of diseases. But we have already practically defeated some species. There are many people cured of cancer in the world. Many cancers are under control. For example, chronic myeloid leukemia. They came up with a cure, and now he is curable. In pediatric oncology, everyone likes to cite as an example that 20 years ago, childhood leukemia was practically not treated. Now up to 90 percent of children with lymphocytic leukemia are fully recovering. Breakthroughs in science happen periodically, and this is happening before our eyes. Five years ago, the diagnosis of metastatic melanoma was a verdict, and not deferred, the bill was going on for months. Now these patients live for years.
Instead of being constantly afraid and terrified, it's better to go to the hospital and check if there really is a reason for fear. There is one simple thing: all victories and defeats come from our head. What we will come up with for ourselves, with what force we will fantasize about this or that topic, we will get that result. Make it a rule to have an annual full-fledged medical examination. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
I love YOU.
