🕑 Added 2021-02-07 19:25:29 +0000 UTC π₯π₯π₯ π Happy Stupendous Superbowl Sunday π π₯π₯π₯ As a Florida native, I HAVE to rep the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Superbowl today!!! π Although I am rooting for the Buccaneers, I MUST acknowledge greatness today as well!!! *** π€―π€―π€― Did You Know π€―π€―π€― *** Patrick Mahomes, Superbowl Champion and Quarter Back of the Kansas City Chiefs, became the 2ND African American quarterback to win the NFL's MVP award outright. Steve McNair shared the award with Peyton Manning in 2003. He is, also, the youngest quarterback (23) to throw for 50 touchdowns in a season & tied for the youngest to throw for more than 5,000 yards in a season!!! African American Quarterback legends Warren Moon, Doug Williams, and James Harris discuss the significance of Mahome winning the MVP Award. They represent three important pillars of the African American American quarterback evolution in the NFL. Harris became first black quarterback to start a regular season at quarterback in 1974 & to start a playoff game. Williams became first black quarterback to win a Superbowl Championship on January 31st, 1988. In 2006, Moon became first black quarterback to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame, NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 1990, & AFC Offensive Player of the Year the same year!!! Best of luck to both teams and may the best WIN!!! π Who do you have winning this years Superbowl?! π Kansas City Chiefs or Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Do you like football? Are you watching the Superbowl?
