🕑 Added 2023-05-21 18:11:51 +0000 UTC Sundays I love to sleep in 🥰😴 When I was coming up in wrestling, my coaches would always tell us to take Sundays completely off and “W.I.N.” during the season, to bring awareness to the present moment. W.I.N. to them stood for “Whats Important Now”. The whole week is a grind and the W.I.N. of the training week is to go hard, to learn, to build strength/endurance and to apply skills in the live goes. That’s what’s important on the day to day of training. The weekends, the W.I.N. Is to rest on Saturday night and Sunday so that our bodies are prepared and recovered to do it all over again starting on Monday. It’s not always fun or easy to practice W.I.N. especially because it means you have to be disciplined, you sometimes tell people “no” to fun things, you feel hungry or bored, etc. The further out from competition you are the more flexible you can being active on rest days, but when you have a fight or big goal on the horizon, the best thing you can do if you want to achieve your personal best is remembering “W.I.N.” and apply it to your routine.
