🕑 Added 2024-05-05 18:00:07 +0000 UTC On this Day in History:The Mexican victory at the First Battle of Puebla against the Second French Empire in 1862 is what marks this holiday, although the fanfare and celebrations really took off around one hundred years later. I’m not Mexican and have never participated in the celebration of this day, but I grew up in a heavily hispanic area and have a great appreciation for the culture.
A great way to appreciate this holiday is to engage with Mexican culture through tv & film, food, literature, history, and music, and today I wanna use my culinary skills to help you do that so grab a margarita and sit back while I show you how to make enchiladas y elotes - Danny style.
