You are going to start slow.
Please whatever you do don't open up your favorite porn site including my page 😉
Now before you continue to jump into this idea you need to do some self-reflection and be a little self-aware. Is watching porn with your spouse mostly for you or to better the sexual relationship? Cause you will be opening a door you won't be able to close.
Especially, if your spouse is like me and says "I want to see what you look at when you get off?" Hubby was not prepared for me to ask that question! And he wasn't even sure where to start.
Watching porn as a couple can be helpful in setting the mood, learning some new moves or learning each others fantasies. Remember that Porn is Entertainment nothing more.
Also remember that pornstars are like professional athletes but at sex! And that what you see involves directing and movie magic.
Again you need to be able to have a reason to want to introduce your spouse to porn.
Though before you jump right into saying lets watch some porn together you have to figure out more about what your spouse is into. What turns them on? Have they ever been curious? Have they ever seen porn? What do they think about it and what do they understand?
It's more than likely they've received a lot of misinformed instructions from church leaders and highly biased studies online usually sponsored by other Christian organizations. Porn has been with us for as long as we could create art.
If you have open conversations with our spouse about other sexual things then it will be much easier to discuss porn.
Now when talking about porn figure out what kind you want to watch together, what kind you want to share, and what kind you don't want to watch or care to look into.
I suggest keeping porn a little vanilla and starting out with some steamy R-Rated films that have some erotic nudity or sex scenes. One that I enjoyed was 300. I wouldn't suggest 50 Shades cause there are some things there that might turn your spouse off cause it gets into certain sexual activity that might be too extreme for them even if they don't show it. You can also find shows that have a few sex scenes. There are a few shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime you can watch.
Be careful to not watch content that turns porn into a comedic situation cause more than likely there will be a scene that might make things awkward for both of you.
If you want to step it up I would recommend getting Playboy TV.
Now you don't have to start with videos or movies. You can start with images and that's where a place like Reddit might help but again start with content that is left graphic and more of a tease or erotic and if imagery and video is too much you can go with erotic stories or erotic audio. There are some apps that are geared more towards a female audience that are steamy and there are even podcasts that have erotic stories you can enjoy together.
I hope this gives you a nice starting point and if you have questions comment them below so everyone can benefit!
Looking at porn is enjoyable in my relationship and I'm so glad I learned how to accept it and watch it. Also it's fun to hear what hubby has watched and sometimes I like to share what I watched when playing with myself.
Amen.
