The idea of someone wanting you so much they would tie you up or chain you to their bed to have their way with you might sound more like horror story to some and like heaven to others. As long as its consesnsual, the hard no's, limitations, aftercare needs have been discussed, and both the giver and receiver feel safe and comfortableIve - Ive always been a fan of sensory play. Take away my sight, my ability to talk, my ability to move. Use one at a time or all at once. Rope play and hand cuffs can be a fun way to take your full ability to move off of the table, or where ever you're tied up, and heighten the other sensations in your body. Sex can be overwhelming to think about sometimes, especially to those of us who's minds wander, who can over think about the things we are doing or saying. Being tied up, at least for me, can actually help me release my need for control during sex and help me stay present over all. I'm more engaged with the sensations everywhere. The soft but firm cuffs around my wrists, the muscles in my body contracting to hold me up while I can't escape the pleasure I'm feeling with her mouth between my legs. There is a deeper level of emotional intimacy with trusting someone so wholly, that you'd risk being tied up or hand cuffed - knowing they'd never do you any harm - but still allowing someone to take that control away is vulnerable and has allowed us deeper trust in other areas of our life as well. We dont realize it because of the way sex is talked about as taboo in society, but sex can be a very healing energy exchange. Communication and bonding that starts in the bedroom, with or without extra bondage, can help couples speak up for their needs and trust eachother to take lead in and out of the bedroom. Though Kink and BDSM are such complex topics I can't get fully into on this blog, I love sharing these moments where I can provide a safe space to allow these fantasies to flourish. And who knows, maybe inspire someone to get a fuzzy pair of cuffs of their own 🫶
