Beast Story dev log 04
🕑 Added 2021-08-06 05:34:57 +0000 UTCHello everyone, The new character model for Beast Story is finally complete and I've been receive a feedback from TBCS that the new dynamic body works pretty well in Unreal Engine. I myself can't wait to see how it will look in the game but as for now, let's give time to our programmer to play around and do lot test until he think it's ready to be share.
Now, as the picture above, they're all concept on what I have in mind for the game. The layer mask will be use for player to create their own unique or simple fur coat pattern. Player can pick any mask they wish to apply to their character base on which layer they choose. The picture is just to guide a better way to use layer mask; preferably base coat apply to the lowest layers, meanwhile skin or scar applied to the highest.
The rest of the photo is actually a concept and reference for our programmer to see what I have mind during character creation. Yes, I really enjoy creation character in that Hentai game koikatsu and I even create version of myself in that game. It's simple and straight forward. Even there's like bunch of slider, they're mostly touch on important area. Don't worry, the character creation won't be too advanced or too simply, It's in-between.
=====
Back to the frontal concept character creation I made, I would like to give bit simple explanation.
Name would be your character name, we may split to first and last name but the name basically use for your character data file for the game to refer.
Gender just only Male and Female, if you wanna to become transgender whatsoever, you have to play it through the game but as the game start, you're start with male or female. I rather not touch this subject too much.
Species is likely defining your character species and the head. First pick the species like Feline, Canine or Avian and then pick which race like Cat from Feline for example.
Nickname is especially for NPC to callout your character. This can be change in text/ subtitle to either use your character first or last name or straight use nickname.
Voice is for your character voice. The player voice may be only use for interaction or reaction like grunt, hungry, tired, dizzy, horny etc. We want to make sure the voice not ruin character immersion so we may need to do some test when the time comes.
That's it for the Beast Story development update for the time being. stay tune
