Matty knew it was a bad idea to send a squad to this particular outpost. His taskforce was assigned to the mission to investigate the distress signal originating from a remote company outpost, located beyond colonized space. So he memorized the facility layout, triangulated the position of the distress beacon, and planned to be in and out within an hour.
But even the best of plans unravel when you encounter the monster of the week. When the strike team overheard screams of help beyond one of the twisting corridors, they approached, guns cocked, with Matty the engineer heading up the rear. They arrived just in time to witness a space miner descend into the open maw of a monstrous slime woman.
