Health Updates: Sweater Weather ๐

I truly do not understand how it still catches me off guard that all my symptoms are worse when the weather/seasons are changing. And yet here I am, once again surprised by my body doing the same thing it does quarterly. ๐ One day I will learn and be prepared...today is not that day.
Good news first: as you may have heard in streams, the Botox is starting to work! โจ This is EXCELLENT news because prior to that, my migraines had been exceptionally bad and I regularly wanted to cry and sometimes did...but crying makes it worse, so I really did try not to ๐
๐ฌ But it's been slowly becoming effective for about a week and a half now.
It is always an adjustment when it first starts taking effect, though, because it does not magically disappear all my migraines and it doesn't work all at once ๐
So I always have this ramp up period where my migraines are still disabling, but just...not really painful? And it's always kind of a tough time to figure out and remind myself that my migraines are different now.
I also always have such rose-coloured glasses and hope that this time I will magically not have migraines at all anymore...but that has never been the case and probably never will be ๐
A girl can dream...but just like, maybe don't let her get her hopes up too high. ๐ซฃ So I have had a couple migraines already, but at least they're still much more manageable overall ๐คทโโ๏ธ

But also, my bones ๐ซ they hate me. They are so determined to run away from me. And like...I get it, I can be tough to be around, but come ooooonnnnn ๐
I can't go for a walk right now without needing a Tylenol at the very least. Just existing means my joints hurt, I'm dizzy, my knees are swollen at random, my skin is irritated as all heck, and my bones are trying to displace themselves when I'm not even moving ๐ซ BUT WHEN I DO DEIGN TO MOVE? WATCH OUT because my bones seem like they might genuinely chuck themselves at any innocent passerby idk ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐
Something got displaced in my hand trying to cut my eggs. My toes are trying to live out the whole "this little piggy" thing. My knee got displaced walking to the grocery store. My foot is a mess because I...laid down? My hip popped because I tried to get into the shower. My shoulders...they are simply not of this realm and they are doing everything in their mystical powers to make it known. And God forbid I try to breathe or stand up without my ribs trying to separate, either from my spine or my sternum. It's anyone's guess at this point ๐คทโโ๏ธ
But don't worry, because the mobility doctor told me there's โจnothing wrong with meโจ, I'm "just" hypermobile. So it's fine! ๐
And of course all the other little things that come along with the usual stuff ๐
Weirdly, I do mostly feel okay about where my health is at, though, so that's good! I may be falling apart, but at least I'm not feeling miserable about it! I'm feeling miserable for other reasons ๐ (for real, but...this feels like too much sad for one post, so...I am okay, I promise ๐ซ)
In other better news, I am actually sleeping pretty well lately! ๐ฅฐ Who knew I would one day find out what that sleep thing is? AND all the meds I am currently on are currently working ๐ Crushing it.

Very glad you are getting better sleep these days. I am sure that helps you feel a little more human while the rest of your body attacks you. Also glad the botox is finally kicking in and your migraines are more manageable. Now if only the rest of your body would get the message and chillax.
