🕑 Added 2024-11-09 09:00:06 +0000 UTC00:00:00 - Intro
00:00:38 - How would you design and use surface ships in this role to improve their effectiveness and/or survivability?
00:07:36 - Will you ever go to Bermuda?
00:09:25 - What would you say is the most common type of british submarine in WW2?
00:12:28 - What was the operational performance of the original big gun variant of the M class?
00:18:23 - X1 or class of them against Japan in WW2?
00:22:22 - Why not take out convoy escorts first, then the merchant ships?
00:26:34 - Vibration issues on various battleships?
00:31:14 - Looking back at USN Fleet Problems, could you further describe the simulated damage system that is hit points, and not damage percentage?
00:40:32 - Would it be possible to do a refit of Bretagne class dreadnoughts similar to the Italian dreadnoughts and how fast and how useful would refited ships be?
00:45:44 - If the 1920 South Dakota class battleships were instead designed in 1918, allowing for some of them to be built before the Washington Naval Treaty was being negotiated and signed, what would be their fate?
00:51:43 - Why were Admiral Kimmel and General Short sacked after the attack on Pearl Harbor, but General MacArthur and Admiral Hart weren’t after the loss off the Philippines?
00:55:03 - How much power did MacArthur really have over 'his' portion of the Naval war?
00:58:20 - In the book "Escape from Davao" by John Lukacs, it was noted that prisoners of war were generally better treated by the Imperial Japanese Navy than by the Imperial Japanese Army. Was this really the case and if so, why?
01:01:22 - What would the Colorado class have looked like without the 'Standard' Type being a thing?

That estimation of Styrofoam Peanuts must have first been reported by MacArthur... (Even though it hadn't been invented just yet).

Thank you Drach for another great and informative presentation.
It takes 2.38x10E17 styrofoam peanuts to fill the Grand Canyon (Really! It's been calculated....)
I keep getting an error when I try to play. No big deal. I'll just wait til tomorrow's posting on YouTube. It's happened a few times in the past. And sometimes I can't vote in polls. I've tried several things on my side. Can't figure it out. I think it depends on the tide.
