🕑 Added 2025-07-12 08:00:05 +0000 UTC00:00:00 - Intro
00:00:40 - Which class of Regia Marina warship made the greatest contribution to the overall Axis war effort?
00:02:24 - Was the Italian attempt at an aircraft carrier a good design. And if it had been finished earlier in the war could it have made any difference in the Mediterranean?
00:09:49 - In the Hornblower TV series various characters say the line "Two, Six, Heave" was this an actual command in the Royal Navy at the time and if so why did they use "Two, Six"?
00:13:48 - What would typically be placed inside the bulbous bow of a ship? Would they be empty to help with buoyancy, serve as storage, or have some other purpose?
00:15:24 - Italian cruisers' main guns seem to be mounted very close to each other. Did this cause interference between between shells fired together, or did guns in a turret fire alternately?
00:16:42 - How successful could the X1 and M class have been in WW2?
00:23:07 - After WW1, did Japan ever see any of these "cruiser submarines", and do you think it influenced them when it came to designing their larger ones in WWII?
00:25:13 - What with the apparent frequency with which submarines found themselves directly under pursuing vessels, would they have benefited from some sort of upwardly aimed "reverse depth charge" or vertical torpedo that they could use in self defence once submerged?
00:28:56 - Would rearranging Bismarck's turret interior layout help?
00:32:31 - Could you talk about the Tonsil AA system the Royal Navy, made to shoot down German Flying bombs?
00:38:45 - How did the USN move PT boats to the Pacific Theatre?
00:41:00 - How were ships serviced in Scapa Flow during the first half of the 20th Century?
00:44:11 - HMS Lion vs L’Elisabeth
00:50:04 - What in your mind is the biggest myth or romanticized idea about Age of Sail naval operations that you wish people better understood?
01:02:02 - Generally, how many capital ships were in Scapa Flow at any one time? Was Royal Oak just unlucky to get caught, or was there a pretty good chance of U-47 finding some major British warships to sink on practically any day she showed up?
