I wouldn't be able to downplay the effect of a good companion on your art journey even if I tried my very best! When you have someone in your life who understands your ambitions, shares your passion for the craft, knows your struggles and is able to validate your experience, it will not only help you through your though times, but also highlight any step forward in a most rewarding way! Even some friendly competition, or minor clashes can be helpful, as they make you reflect on your decisions, and either help you re-adjust, or ground you firmer into doing what you think is right. So I encourage you to look for people that might share your goals and reach out to them. It can be scary, and disheartening at times, but I promise - even minor interactions here and there can prove to be life changing in the best way possible.

All the artist I try to keep in contact with are always depressed and disappear, or too busy to do collaborations. Or good artists are too far ahead of my league to even consider collaboration with me or to teach me anything.
