I dunno, to me, at least, she looks plenty cute, but I can also see that she unquestionably looks...different than her original "style" in the first SF 2. Personally, I just chalk it up to her turning from a teenage girl into a fully adult young woman. If you remember, one of her ending scenes in the original SF 2 even had her say that she was "going back to being a girl", and now it's obvious that she is beyond her girl stage and has become a full-on woman. And the majority of peoples' looks have a decidedly marked point where they differentiate from the way one looked as a girl/boy to the way one looks like as an adult woman/man. :)
