Modding Diary - Read to Baby and Idle animation

Hi guys! I hope you all are well!🥰
This week I finished the "read to baby" interaction.
Originally I wanted this to be a non-pregnancy specific interaction, but I was not able to get it to work the way i wanted after struggling for days😓 So I had to turn it into a pregnancy only interaction.
this interaction can be performed by the pregnant sim during the first to third trimester
the pregnant sim will be seen reading out loud while lying in their partner's arms
here are two of the moodlets the pregnant sim might get after this interaction

this week I also started working on a basic idle animation that allows pregnant sim to stroke their belly autonomously from time to time
right now the animation would only play if sims are standing or sitting on a chair, however im also hoping to make it play when sims are sitting on a rocking chair or lying in a bathtub, but Im having some trouble with it at the moment 🙃 This is the joy of modding, nothing ever works on the first try, but I will keep trying 😌

Hi Pandasama! Your childbirth mod really resparked my love of the game when the family gameplay just wasn't hitting right for me, and I'm excited for what's next! I have to ask, have you ever thought of adding pets to the birth mod? I think it'd be really cute to be able to take them to the vet for them to have their babies like you do for Sims. They could lay on the examination table and the vet could help them give birth. Imagine also being able to help pets give birth while working as a vet! It would be so cute! I don't know if that would be an impossible task, but I figured I'd throw the idea out there. Better to ask than to not, you know?

Looking good ❤️! Excited for both of them, though sadly right now I have my doubts about how excited this current Gen will be about the next one so it may not all make sense right away. Sooner or though!!
