Modding Diary - Lactation System

Hi guys!
I hope you all had a good week.
This week I continued to work on the lactation system.
Sims will automatically start to lactate after they gave birth using a birth method from the child birth mod
However you can also induce lactation on any sim through pumping or eating lactation cookies, the success rate is 30%, so it will take a few tries before your sim can start lactating.
if you pump before your sim's breast is full they will not be able to get any milk
But pumping does help with lactation, so repeated pumping will help your sims breasts to become full sooner, eating lactation cookies will also help your sim to produce milk faster.
you will get this moodlet that tells you when your sim is ready to nourish
if you do not pump they might get leakage
and they will get this uncomfortable moodlet
your sims breasts will then become engorged, if you continue to not pump they will stop lactating eventually
and there is a chance they might develop mastitis
they will have to take tylenol to ease the symptoms
Next week I will work on creating the baby formula, milk donation system, and breast pads.
Now I want to talk about the upcoming infant update for a little bit.

This update is packed with features and Im honestly amazed at all the things the sims team were able to create.
However it seems like a mod apocalypse is inevitable at this point, I think this patch will break most mods out there including mine, so I suggest everyone to take all their mods out before the patch hits.
my toddler changing table and crib will for sure break, and they are not going to be easy to fix, but considering the patch is bringing both a crib and a changing table (im not sure if the changing table is a base game update or a part of the growing together pack), I might just retire mine since they are no longer needed
I original thought the child birth mod would not be affected too much, however after today's live stream I can confirm that's no longer the case 🥴 the fact that they added an unknown number of new skin tones to babies could potentially become a serious problem for me. I just hope I will be able to fix the child birth mod AND make the breast pump update compatible with the new patch before the end of the month. I will worry about that when the patch comes, now I will only focus on finishing the rest of my update.

I’m so excited for this! Both of my babies were very premature so I did a LOT of pumping, and this mod looks so realistic. Great work!
