I feel like the Tarrasque has kind of found its feet and now has an identity among D&D monsters. I also think there are a number of other monsters where you can see the creators *trying* to make that happen for their pet creations.

I get your point about the Nightmare Beast but I won't have you traducing the Tarrasque, an absolute giant in our 40 year AD&D campaign.
