Animations are coming TOMORROW!
🕑 Added 2024-01-25 19:50:15 +0000 UTCAfter years and years of trying to figure out how to nail this particular, and honestly mandatory aspect of any self-respecting game of this genre, we have finally done it. Animations are a thing now! And it only took us the entirety of the game's budget.
Okay, I am going to be honest, it's obviously expensive and everyone knows that. The only reason we didn't have animations and instead opted out to push more and more content is because we knew much more artist that are willing to work for the amount of money we can afford paying than animators. That's just how the market works. Now, thanks to your overwhelming support we got into a position when both animations and our preferred content delivery tempo are doable simultaneously. This particular part was very important, because we are genuinely proud of our reputation as one of the more (not most) reliable creators in the industry when it comes to making sure our supporters get the best bang for their buck. Leaving you waiting for months just to get a new patch was not an option we wanted to go for.
Now though, as I said, we can do both. And do both we shall!
Starting from now, we will do our best to ensure that every major update, especially updates that emphasize h-content will get properly animated. Though keep in mind that our existing scene structure, where most of the time you'd see 10+ unique frames per scene doesn't allow to animate everything. Instead, we will take the juiciest parts and focus on them. Another important note is that we will not be able to animate skins as well, that would simply be way too time consuming due to some scenes already having multiple. We will revise it once we get more animators on board, but for now we will focus on the raw scenes.
We will also make sure to revisit existing content to add animations in some of your favorite scenes, starting from Reina's and Ava's content, and then gradually add it to other characters as well.
Animations will be fully optional and you can disable them in the in-game settings menu. I'm not sure anyone would want to do that, but we are adding a setting just in case.
Also, we would like to note that animation packs for existing updates will be released as a separate patch, and it will go through the same release schedule as any update does. That would mean that higher-tier supporters will get to see them first. Though this only applies to the "animation packs" for old content, such as the entirety of Reina's route, because without monetizing those additions, there wouldn't really be a way for us to animate any previously added scenes without going bankrupt. When it comes to anything we release in the future, animations will be integrated into the major update itself, so you don't have to pay twice just to see jiggle physics.
Thank you so much for your support! We are incredibly glad that the time has finally come when we have realistic means of bringing our art into motion. Hopefully you will love the result as much as we did!
Stay tuned!

I'm looking forward to the update, as well as the animations!

Keep up the great work everyone, you’re doing amazing. I know I’m not a dev but I’d suggest keeping the roster smaller until you finish the existing characters. I’ve seen too many games endlessly expand the roster before finishing what they already have
