Spring is here, it's time for us to bloom!
🕑 Added 2023-03-02 16:17:48 +0000 UTCAs you know, we prefer to be as transparent with our community as possible, so here's some transparency: Oh boy, is it hard to keep content steadily flowing when every job in our team only has a single person doing it. Programmer got sick and whole progress is halted, artist got sick and we won't see any pictures for quite some time, writer got sick and you replace him with someone else, because they are cheap and usually underqualified anyway. That's just how it is. Also, yes, our writer is making this post.
We're sorry for how much we made you wait for this update. Even though it was supposed to be big overhaul, it still doesn't excuse us. Next time we'll make sure to better prepare before making anything overly ambitious, keep some extra smaller-scale updates up our sleeve to justify you spending money on us. Lesson definitely learned.
That being said, it's not all bad. Current update has been stuck in development phase for long enough to win everyone else in our team some time to prepare content for many upcoming updates, as well as pushed us to hire another junior programmer to take some work off of Cipheos' shoulders. Though "hire" is a strong word, since we're not even close to being able to offer a good salary. It's more like... a charity work on his end. Yea, European taxes left us broke. In future, in case of any major hiccup, like the one we're experiencing right now, second developer will be responsible for pushing mini-stories out, like ones we planned for Pharah and Ana to kick start their routes. Overall, we've made plenty of progress on whole bunch of releases we planned for this and next few months, which include continuation of Brigittie's route, next part of DVa's route, this time extra spicy, mini-updates for Blaze, the redhead from the library, Ana and Pharah, "anthology"-routes for girls in the Academy Hall, the ones with colored hair, and one for Andre. After that you may expect more Widow and Sombra. Road map will be updated soon.
To make sure that releases will happen often enough, we will mix things up with story-only updates for characters we want to expand on, or for ones that we yet to properly "explore", like Ana. As you can imagine, her route requires a lot of setup, so that's why she's the best candidate for story updates. We have few more ideas for "minor" releases, but you should probably experience new systems in the game first, before we start talking what we want to do with them.
Even though we grow fast, we still remain a very small team, and all of the quirks of being a small scale production applies to us in full extent. One thing you might be certain of: We're definitely not lazy. We're do everything we can to push as many updates as fast as possible, but at this point we are limited by what our skills can do. In case you'd be mad at us for being slow, it's fair. You pay, you expect a quality product in return, and you expect it right now. Quality, sure, we can do that. Fast? That's where the problems begin. In time, we're certain we will be able to solve this issue as well, especially with some proper planning, but for now... all we can do is to hope for your patience. Thank you for staying with us and believing in our team. It what got us here, and we won't disappoint!
Love,
Young & Naughty team.

Don't worry, we're all gonna be replaced with ChatGPT soon anyway.

As a writer, I take personal offense to being called cheap and underqualified. But also as a writer... fair. Been loving the game so far and can't wait for future updates.

We cherish the trust we earned from our community and we'll be sure to keep this transparency going as long as we're in business. In regard of our luck, I would say we're still good. In comparison to everything our team went through last year, it's just a minor hiccup with few extra weeks to wait for release.

Thanks, Y&N Publishing for being transparent and forthcoming. It is nice to be kept in the loop. Hope your luck can turn around soon. As for me, Quality will always be more important than speed.
