Changes to TIERS, REWARDS and RELEASE SCHEDULE!
🕑 Added 2020-10-23 16:21:34 +0000 UTCIMPORTANT! These changes not only affect us, but also you and your wallet. So please, read this post carefully.
Due to the nature of the fee that Patreon charges on every pledge, we are forced to revise the minimum price for our rewards. But only a little!
The thing is – every $1 pledge leaves us roughly €0.34 after fees and taxes. To put this in perspective, to pay our entire team minimum wage, we would need 14,823 pledges. And that does not include any other operating costs. BUT! From a $2 pledge, we will get €0.83, which is almost 2.5 times more!
Apologies if jumping from dollars to euros is confusing. But our team operates in Europe, and we wanted to give an honest picture of our situation.
We try to be as generous as possible when it comes to rewards, because after all, any help is going toward this project entirely. We invest a lot of ourselves in this project too. But in its current state, the “Recruit” rank is of more help to Patreon than it is to us.
Since Patreon does not allow simply changing the price of the existing tier, we are creating a new one – “Cadet”, which will cost $2 and give you access to all the same rewards as “Recruit”. The old tier will be hidden, but all its privileges will remain active up until December 1st. Starting from December, “Recruits” will no longer receive early access to updates, and this reward tier will be completely removed early next year.
Unfortunately, this is a necessary measure for our project to continue to develop. We hope it won’t make a big difference for you, but it surely will make a HUGE difference for us. We promise to compensate for this with an even better content quality!
NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS!
Starting next release, which is scheduled for November, access to all upcoming updates will be granted according to the updated schedule:
- Just like before, “Officers” ($10) and “Commanders” ($20) are the first to get access to closed testing;
- After 7 days (instead of 14 now) the game becomes available to Privates ($5);
- After 14 days, access opens to Cadets ($2). A week after that, the update goes public.
We felt that the “Private” tier did not justify its value and it’s only fair if access to the game opens to them at least a little earlier. Now you have a tiny bit more motivation to throw all that money into your monitor!
Thank you so much for your support! We believe that in the long term, these changes will give us the opportunity to create a better Academy for all you horny folk!
