If you're interested in next gen batteries, one stock to follow is enovix. They are in the pilot line ramp so the manufacturability question will be answered in Q1. TJ Rodgers of cypress, sunpower, and enphase fame is backing them. Founders are from semiconductor industry.

Hey Lars, I'm not Tom but Quantum scape is a lab experiment at this time. They got onto the media landscape because ex Tesla CTO JB straubel visited them and said good things about the technology. But he has done subsequent interviews saying they are nowhere near commercialization and haven't proven they can make it cost effectively.
