Rough Timeline and Updates Coming
🕑 Added 2020-11-25 01:10:40 +0000 UTCHey guys, been a while since I've remembered to make a post just for patrons! Or anywhere really other than Discord, lol. More on that in a second.
The first thing is that I have a series of updates coming. The first I'm releasing tomorrow and it's just some minor updates for No Fade on Everything, Bow At Shrines, Human Ghost, and Mermaids Can Use Ladders. I also have 2 small mods being released that are not going into early access because they are so small.
The first is Kneel Anywhere which enables the kneeling posture as a new interaction on the terrain. They kneel where you clicked, and this posture allows multitasking like eating. I hope to make other similar themed mods later, like a laydown one and also a cushion that uses the kneel posture so your Japanese, etc. sims have a new seating option (but first I need to see if it works with tables, etc.). The other mod I am releasing just removes the tests so that sims can wear uniforms in any world. I want to update it later to be per sim rather than all sims in the world, but this won't be for a while as that would involve scripts (or I find a workaround).
The second thing is that I have been taught by Pancake how to convert adult animations to kids. I'm still writing notes and working out the process so my workflow is better, but this means that some of my future mods will allow kids to use them as well. I started researching it this week because I had received requests to update Human Ghost and Everyone Can Suntan for kids. Thankfully, ghost children in the game can already do the majority of what adults can, so I only have about 3 animations to convert for that mod. You can see one converted animation in the gif above, showcasing the Wear Pumpkin animation. For suntanning, kids can apparently receive tans and burns. I thought at first that maybe this wouldn't be possible, but after a quick enable test it definitely works! I'm so excited, and it means that all I need to do is convert the animations and fix/make some interactions after some more testing.
The third is that after these updates and some minor learning on the side, I will hopefully be finishing the swordfighting mod soon. I don't have a date for anything and won't be promising a date, because every time I do something comes up. XD
And lastly, my Discord is finally going up. I was waiting on Pancake to tell me what he was doing first about modding, but it looks like he might be staying after all! So I will have that launched soon, I just need to post everything. Say about....two or three days? No idea, I'll see what happens. But if you like seeing WIP or me rambling about new discoveries and such, I really recommend joining because Discord is where I am most active and I am constantly posting random modding/research stuff. I will be making an effort to remember to post on here though, it's just not as easy because I have to format it differently and I feel like I'd be pinging you guys every few hours on some days, lol.
That's all I've got for today, have a great week everyone!
