There are no images for the RPI5 yet - but you can install RetroPie manually on the RPi5 64bit lite bookworm image - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/. Please use the RetroPie forum for help on this. Development is ongoing (See our github for changes) but I have had less time for development than previously due to a change of job etc.

Thanks, so if I understand you correctly (you don't have to answer if I do 🙂 ), an installation made with the Buster-based 4.7 image can be updated to 4.8.

If they have a Raspberry Pi OS Buster base they can be updated at any time (Via RetroPie-Setup then Update)

Great News! Do existing 4.7 installations have to be reinstalled, or will they be upgraded automatically?
