No splashscreen support yet. But most of the main emulators should work. We can't support this image yet, but we are close to an alpha release.
The rpi0/1 and 2/3 buster images are beta quality.

This is great news, thanks! I might wait for the alpha or beta release but I'm glad to see you're making progress and I'm looking forward to dusting off my Pi 4 and seeing how Retropie performs! Thanks for your efforts!
