I still haven’t really accepted this change of hundreds of years. And now we’re in the 1960s I’m guessing? I’m of course going to keep reading but definitely still have whiplash from the change. (And I’ll always mourn the change of fashion and loss of Raz’s innocence. 😮‍💨)

I was interested in learning more about Sherwin when he was first introduced, but now I am genuinely and delightfully intrigued. Is he also an immortal, or just someone who is a friend/helping Sulvain? Is he more than a friend? How much does he know? I remember the authors said Sulvain was looking for a student, so is he a necromancy disciple? Or just a really trustworthy person that Sulvain trusts. Perhaps he studies archaeology/ antiquities/ anthropology… he strikes me as a Professor Indiana Jones type off the bat… just needs the hat. And we see that Sulvain is indeed taking classes. I have a few guesses (along those same lines) about what he is studying but will have to wait to see for sure. I also can’t wait to learn more about Vivi and her coded message. How old is that paper? Will this be a quest/find the magic cipher item chapter? Why did she need to encode it? Can Sulvain speak now or does he still use sign language? I guess he is still going by the same name after all this time… And where is Hargrave? I too am interested in how he must update all his paperwork every decade or so. (I’m surprised he hasn’t changed his name.) Plus, what is his last name? lol.

Traveled to the top of a mountain for this page. Not disappointed. Is Mr. Paint Brand immortal?? I guess it’s good he’s helping out. How long has he known about Sulvain? How did Vivi send that message? How long ago? So many questions, and I can’t stay on this mountaintop forever >_<

sherwin also comes off as a very insistent guy to me, and not in an off-putting way or anything like that, but in a “i want to help you, but you gotta help me to do that, so tell me everything”. like he genuinely wants to understand and doesn’t want to waste time dancing around it.

So, my question has been answered, Sherwin is taller. I just read through everyone's theories and conversation. I swear I love all of your minds! So many great theories and thoughts!! I cannot possibly add more. It just pains me to think that Sulvain hasn't been able to find her for awhile...and why would Vivi need to write in symbols like this? Was Hargrave after her or trying to find Sulvain's location when he was asleep? Or did the French government get involved and start hunting Magoi?!

Possibly? But Raz isnt a Magoi and he's long lived. And i assume its possible there are other funky people out there in the world who arent magic but still special? I dunno. I just got back from vacation and still have mushy what is time brain.

I thought the same thing! Like Sul has to REALLY trust this guy to have told him about the people he cares about. But that also begs the question, does he also know about Sul's immortality? And if so, does Sherwin cover for him when need?
