She took a deep breath, only remembering that she had a flower held against her skin and emitting its powerful scent into every single breath she took. “If you had another accident, it’d be really obvious with your dress,” Brooke gently said. “I don’t think our hosts would appreciate you peeing on their nice furniture, either…”

Taking care not to wipe away her mascara, Brooke wiped away her tears, then smiled down at her. “Of course. What else would a friend do?”
Jenna took a deep, shuddering breath, then swallowed as she drummed up the courage she needed. “Okay…” She waddled into the bathroom, worried that any pressure on the pad would make it leak onto her dress.
