They cut out the back story of what Vlad did to get Drac his fangs. In a deleted scene, Vlad made Drac's pet raccoon go feral and made Drac fight it. iirc.

Yes the werewolf cubs do age slower than normal kids. Whinny is currently 4-5 years older than Dennis but physically they're the same age but she was still a baby in the previous movie. Now Dennis is a Dhampir (half human half vampire) So he probably will age more slowly from now on allowing them to age at similar rate.

You'll notice at around 15:47 he calls Mavis "overprotective." This coming from the same guy who spent the bulk of the last movie doing anything to prevent his daughter from ever leaving the hotel, including lying to her with an entire fake village and paid actors.
