Kenjaku in the first scene is... very interesting. Originally, I always read that scene in the manga as them being a bit mocking and tongue-in-cheek about being Yuji's parent. But they played it so sincere and maternal instead, as if there's a part of Kenjaku that truly does care about Yuji and is happy that he has friends. Which makes it all the worse when you consider what he planned, and how Yuji was part of it since the beginning.

It took me a bit when I first watched this to realize the girl at the beginning is from all the way back in Season 1 when Yuji was a part of the Occult Club. Also, did anyone besides me get flashbacks to Resident Evil 8 with the propeller head guy?
