Didn't the anime literally show Jirou's perfomance blowing away the shadow of Overhaul still haunting her, making her smile for the first time in years?

The AFO reveal is one of the single greatest/most-heartbreaking moments of MHA. When I read it in the manga, I was absolutely astounded. And the fucked up part is: it makes sense. When you consider AFO's character, and just how long he's been around to make this stuff happen, it absolutely makes sense that he'd be able to manipulate the dad, whether he used a quirk or not.

It‘s a shame that the Anime cut out how important Jiros contribution was for Eris development and dream. The Manga showed that Eri was saved by Jiros singing and that inspired her dream and future. It was also a conclusion to Jiros arc of realizing her passion for music saves people as much as her hero work.
