Shame they never did anything else with the Megamind IP. Nope, nothing else exists of it besides this movie.

I love love love love love love LOVE the scene where "Metro Man" shows up to save Roxanne and then the reveal it's actually Megamind. The true beauty of that scene: it's Megamind giving Metro City what he believed they wanted, what everyone, including the audience, expects: for the hero to swoop in and save the day.

and there is no sequal. nope none. sad right

Jadedjayde

There is, but it's basically just a longer version of the TV show that released about the similar time and both have been widely considered to be awful

I think there is 2nd Megamind movie but heard wasn't as good as the first one

Easy Mode - A.I

didnt see it but dont feel liek scrolling all the comments so to be that ONE GUY ( as usual ) IF YOU LOOK AT 22:10 YOU CAN SEE A BLINK FROM WHERE HE LEFT TO THINK

Obviously, a major theme of the film is 'identity,' and nothing says that more than the fact that neither Metro Man or Megamind have actual names - they are only ever referred to in the films by their identities assigned to them by the public. But a really interesting fact about the film is that unlike Megamind, who very well could have just not had a real name beyond 'Megamind,' Metro Man had a fairly normal childhood, with a real family and name - and the script confirms this, naming him Wayne Scott. But he's never called that. He was forced to just be known as 'Metro Man.'

Honestly one of if not my fav movies. It's mostly between this one and Jim carrys prince. Which just have a pretty similar vibe between em when it comes down to a villain that really all that villainous.

@22:37 CAT! ....that is all.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

how oddly fitting that a crime happens and get completly with the film. Why dose it always feel like Alice is not just watching stuff but living the stuff she watch

WillGlacier

"and there is no queen of England"

Dark Sunrise

He was going through the same thing Megamind was when he got control of the city. With nothing to challenge you, you get bored and depressed. Interesting theme for the movie.

I've been enjoying Fax's Flash and Arrow reactions. I think it's the same Fax. I'm half blind, so it might not be

I've seen it pointed out, that the reason music appeals to Metro Man so much is because his powers can't help him be good at it. So it's something that requires actual effort on his part to be good at.

PRESENTATION!

Jason

The cold dead stare of alicia as she loses her tracking is unsettling. And also very funny.

Latrios (Coen van Haaster)

It's weird how the subtitles for this movie constantly reference Hal's superhero name as 'Tighten', but the whole point is that is intended name is 'Titan' as Roxanne discovers, and Hal only carves 'Tighten' into the city to show he's never seen the word 'Titan' before. It just kills the joke and that bothers me.

Depresso

She mentioned Superman does anyone know if she has seen "Man Of Steel" with Henry Cavill? I would love to see a reaction to that.

FlaschenJoe11

Hope you did watch the post credits scene, it's short but funny

Brian of South-Ebonscar

I've seem this movie multiple times, it is just immaculate.

That Dude Up There

Dude yes! If your looking for another old Dreamworks Movie, Monsters Vs Aliens totally underrated and has more than a couple memes too! Over the Hedge is also amazing!

DrOverbuild8363

I never noticed that most of Megaminds inventions early on used his binky as, I assume, their power source. 15 years I've seen this movie several times and I didn't notice till watching a vtuber and her friend react to it. Kinda funny the things you miss. I love her reaction videos to films like these, but I prefer those where its her first time watching it...... though I suppose that's how most people feel about any reaction videos.

TSP247

Im curious are you guys going to watch the other megamind movies?

Prollus

Now guys, repeat after me. "There is no Megamind 2"

Daisy Azuras

We can’t even have alerts like that about gun men in the US because our phone would be going off all day long and all night long. It would just be a constant barrage of alerts telling us that they’re gun men everywhere.

BakaSama

This is another movie that I thought was just alright when it first came out, but have since come to really enjoy. Will Ferrel doing a Marlon Brando Jor-El impression was unexpected and brilliant and has to be one of the greatest parts of the movie.

PerfectYarn

We see the cat flex fax

Darc Hart94

I gotta wonder. Why didn't Roxanne ever actually interview megamind when he was in prison? I feel like trying to understand WHY the villain is evil is kind of important

Remember when Sailor moon had the two lesbians that the English dubs tried to portray as cousins? That was a whole weird thing

MagnusTheM

ever seen cloudy with a chance of meatballs?

OfficiallyGames

"Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" is another nostalgic film for me, along with "Bolt" and "Monsters Vs Aliens"

DLCDallas

It's a shame we never got a feature length sequel to this film, at least we got the short "The Button of Doom" to help fill that void.

We've been blessed

There is no Megamind 2 in Ba Sing Se

YZxe75wK

Idk if u want to have a good laugh but if not do NOT watch the second one. IT is a tragedy what they did to this IP. Maybe u get a good laugh out of it

KaiserMichael

I love this movie, so glad to see both of you watching it for the first time. Sad they never made a sequel though (if anyone tells you they did and you should watch it they are just lying, they never made one)
