May mini-update
🕑 Added 2018-05-11 02:37:23 +0000 UTC Getting rolling a little slowly, but rolling all the same! It may take a little time before I hit that point of having multiple projects to show off at once. That said, I've got a few! And with them, some updates...
First off, the picture above is my 'saliva succubus', whom I'm tentatively calling Florina now. Or possibly Fiora, but leaning towards the former. She's kinda-sorta done, but ran into a snag with her hair being nigh-impossible to render, so until I figure out a way around that, she's sitting on the shelf. (to detail briefly, the default render engine of DAZ Studio 3.1 is 3Delight, which is known to struggle considerably with multiple transparency maps all stacked together. Which is exactly what this hair model is made of, to an extreme degree.)
Florina's in some good company, along with my lamia Senka (can't finish her until I can find/make a 3D snake's tail), and a newer dog-girl character I'd like to make (who likewise needs dog ears and possibly a tail to match, neither of which I have). Projects for the further future.
My "main" project for this month will likely remain the Teena internal mawshot, which I'll pick up on again shortly. I haven't got any other big projects in mind just yet, but an alternative might be to start up on another of those PoV-licking pictures, there's no shortage of characters who have yet to get one. (I have a few more unique plans for a few of them too, though I don't know what's within my ability yet.)
Ideally, when I've got my mojo back and I'm a month or three in, you'll be seeing WIPs for 2-3 projects at a time! And it bears repeating that not all will get finished, though I'll do my best, especially on ones that seem to be gathering excitement. But for the moment it might start slow; I'm also doing a bit of side work this month for an IRL friend and that's been a bit more exhausting than I'm used to, even though it's only a few hours each day.
