Darn, I just missed it. If I could throw my hat into the suggestion box late, I would suggest destroyers akin to WW2 Japanese doctrine that focus torpedo salvos over gun fighting.

Interesting concept, I think having those companies loan a license to you and would then allow the player to modify ships when built with their specialization mods is a great touch of quality
