#288 - Speed-Building Workout #3
🕑 Added 2023-08-25 14:30:01 +0000 UTCMy friends, you voted for a continuation of our speed-building workout series - so I'm happy to deliver the most challenging one yet :)
Here are your practice files for this week (tabs, guitar pro, backing tracks, play-along video): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PFbTxDwbxiQ_3mdaVsPpj-rNNDyuaglj?usp=sharing
This workout will force you to transition between 4 strings with a pattern that constantly changes and turns around - so it's a killer daily workout for your alternate picking, hand synchronization, string transitions, and speed :)
As always, here's a Dropbox folder in case Google Drive doesn't work for you: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/u0tfwuwbr3hmdml81p5lb/h?rlkey=tvq0u3557z6oki6zwxeunqdaj&dl=0

Economy picking allowed?
Did anyone get this one? And if so, how? Sheesh!
economy picking helps me on the way up! but i feel like its cheating compared to what Bernth is doing here. Also, are we angling down on the way up the neck, and angling up on the way down the neck?
I actually found the previous one more challengin, but I think this is more usefull for me , nice exercise!
I've had trouble breaking different speeds on various exercises and found that really concentrating using the tips of fingers as close to the nail I can really helped me nail it!

how can I 'count' meaning keep track of how many notes per string I am playing? 2, 3 or 4 notes per string I can still manage, but mixing patterns for different number of strokes in different strings is my challenge

I also taped at 90! The angle switching is quite hard for me. I am suggesting a notation for this in the Facebook VIP group;
