Continuing our journey through Chinese history, we are now in the early dynastic period. Films around this era is still concentrated on a few established stories and themes, so selections are somewhat limited. But they are also much more focused than films with late imperial settings. The characters, heroes, and stories found within these films oddly mirrors that of China's own rise and fall.
