APRIL POLL - A change is afoot!
🕑 Added 2025-02-20 20:13:15 +0000 UTCHey guys! So we have some changes coming and we will see how it fairs the general consensus. Basically, from what i gather, there are many of you guys that want male characters as well as female. With that in mind I will hold a poll for April with a choice of 12 selected male chatacters and 12 female. from your voting (3 votes per member for male and 3 for female each) the top voted male and top voted female will be created. Along with these I will also (more than likely - time permitted) have an additional bonus model too.
We will give it the one month and see how it goes down. If the majority are happy with it then thats how we can roll going forward and I will take all of your character ideas on board for May onwards. If people are not feeling it then we can go back to the females. (Maybe i could create the male sculpts as the bonus models?)
So lets do this and see... I've selected the women based on mainly the models that have come so close in the polls but not won and, for my first EVER male sculpt, iv'e carefully selected 12 males that i feel confident of doing a good job with (until im more comptent with the male form.. I might be good already - who knows!!?)
Im aleady quite far along with Elvira and Leeloo's face is done! so both will be ready and released in March and in the next few days Magik Darkchylde!! and it looks awesome!
Remember.. total of 6 votes per member - 3 for the guys, 3 for the gal's!!

I love the idea of male sculpts! It's hard to find good ones out there. Especially of the Metal Gear Solid guys. Revolver Ocelot through the eras anybody?

Thats cool.. everyone has there opinions and that is really what the idea is behind doing this for the o e month. Even though it will be a male and female model, there will be a bonus model in April that is female AND, where I am currently, possible 2 female bonus models in April. So don't worry! ππΌβΊοΈ

Red she-hulk would cool no zatanna she has been done so many times. I am all for mixing it up. I think it would depend on if you are doing collections like invincible. Where you have both. I think that should be how you base characters both male and female. Alternate them so this week say you atom eve one month then you do a male character the next. Just an idea

Be sure to make some of the male models show some skin too (damage to costumes?). Gotta see those rippling muscles on the guys if it's gonna be anywhere close to fair for all the skin the women are showing.

Loads of worthy male characters I'd love to see done. Most of them for me come from video games and movies. Solid Snake, Gray Fox and Duke Nukem just to name a few.

I like the idea of opening it up to a male model a month, but I'm really here for the female sculpts. Maybe there could be an all male month once every quarter or two if people have an issue with a male sculpt each month? That way they can leave for a month and come back after it's over if they don't want ANY male sculpts?

If the males get a good reaction and we do it again, i'll definitely add a wide variation of genres. I love the paintings you mention, both have an ethereal feel to them. Beautiful works of art.

I guess that I'm a bit picky about male characters, preferring ones from mythology, classic fantasy, sci-fi, and historical books and films over anything from comics. On the other hand, I am more open-minded when it comes to female characters -- although I do have the same fundamental preferences. Also, I'd love to see female characters from artists like those of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, say John William Waterhouse. For instance from Waterhouse's "The Lady of Shalott" (1888) or "Ophelia" (1894).
