Chapter 1010: Breakthrough, Transformation, and Crisis
🕑 Added 2025-08-08 16:54:10 +0000 UTCJust like that, the next day arrived.
That afternoon, Seimei stuck to his plan. After finishing his training for Body Extreme, he began using the Heart Reflection Technique to push his Sharingan’s evolution.
In less than half an hour, he gained 10 evolution points.
Then, after another fifteen minutes of training, he picked up 5 more.
With that, his Sharingan finally hit the 15 evolution points needed for a breakthrough, crossing the (20,000/100,000) threshold.
At that moment, Seimei felt a jolt in his mind. His Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan activated instinctively, the black sun-like pattern in his eyes suddenly deepening with an otherworldly intensity.
A powerful aura radiated from him—or more precisely, from his eyes—making the air around him feel almost solid.
If anyone with weak strength or shaky resolve was nearby, they’d probably pass out from the sheer pressure.
Heck, without even using genjutsu, Seimei could likely make them go against their survival instincts and end themselves with just a thought.
From now on, if he wanted, no chunin or lower-ranked ninja would even be able to stand in his presence.
Reining in his thoughts, Seimei closed his eyes to focus on the changes within him.
He could clearly feel his mental strength surging as his Sharingan crossed the (20,000/100,000) mark.
Seimei knew this was due to his Mental attribute leveling up.
In the past, his mental strength would usually grow by 20-30% at most. But this time…
About an hour later, the growth finally stopped.
Seimei sensed it carefully—his mental strength had doubled compared to before!
Clearly, this was way beyond what he’d expected. It was a massive leap.
“Could it be… did my Mental attribute jump by more than one point this time?” Seimei wondered.
With a thought, he pulled up his proficiency panel.
The familiar light blue, semi-transparent screen appeared:

Perfected Skills: [None]
The moment the panel appeared, Seimei’s eyes locked onto the basic attributes.
As expected, his Mental attribute had gone from 29 to 30—no unexpected multi-point jump.
That meant the only explanation for his mental strength doubling was that hitting 30 in Mental triggered a qualitative transformation.
He’d had a hunch about this.
A few days ago, when his Constitution attribute leveled up, he’d mentioned that the next Mental boost might bring something special.
But he hadn’t expected it to be this big.
And because of that, he started to question himself.
Clearly, he’d underestimated what breaking the 30-point barrier for Mental meant.
The surge in mental strength was just one part of it.
Seimei closed his eyes again, focusing on his surroundings.
Time ticked by, second by second.
He sat cross-legged, still as a statue, just sensing.
After who-knows-how-long, his eyes snapped open, brimming with excitement.
“I knew it…”
Seimei muttered, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself.
Then, in a low voice, he said, “So this is natural energy.”
That’s right—just moments ago, with his heightened mental strength, he’d sensed the faint, omnipresent natural energy in the air.
During the mental surge, he’d picked up on a strange energy but couldn’t confirm it was natural energy.
Now, he was sure. This was the real deal.
He remembered last November when Orochimaru defected from the Hidden Leaf. During a mission, Seimei had closely observed Jiraiya gathering natural energy to enter Sage Mode.
The sensation back then was almost identical to what he’d just felt.
So, he was certain—this was natural energy.
That’s why Seimei said the mental surge was just a small part of the change. Sensing natural energy? That was the real transformation.
And it opened up a ton of possibilities.
But how to actually use it? That’d take some serious thought.
For now, though, he had a problem to deal with.
Sure, the mental surge brought some awesome benefits, but it also came with a big downside.
His Constitution attribute had hit 28 recently, nearly balancing with his Mental attribute.
But this time, even though Mental only went up by one point, the effect was like a two- or three-point jump.
That put a huge strain on his body.
Right now, Seimei could feel his overwhelming mental strength pressing down on his physical form, making it hard to do much of anything.
He had to fix this.
After some thought, Seimei came up with two solutions. First, he could boost his Constitution attribute as fast as possible to close the gap with Mental.
Once his body caught up, the balance issue would sort itself out.
The second option was to seal part of his mental strength to keep it from affecting his body.
For the first, Seimei immediately thought of natural energy.
Everyone knew Sage Mode massively strengthened the user’s body. It should help his physical evolution, too.
This wasn’t just a wild guess—he had evidence.
Take Naruto’s blonde hair, inherited from Minato Namikaze. That showed how much Sage Mode could transform a body.
The ninja world wasn’t a purely scientific one. With chakra and natural energy, genetics weren’t just a matter of chance—they depended on whose genes were stronger.
Kushina Uzumaki, as the Nine-Tails’ jinchuriki with a powerful seal, had incredibly strong Uzumaki genes.
Yet Naruto didn’t inherit her signature red hair. Instead, he got Minato’s blonde locks.
Minato, a common-born ninja, had little going for him besides his smarts and superhuman reflexes—oh, and training in Sage Mode under Jiraiya.
So, Seimei had reason to believe sage chakra could supercharge a ninja’s genetics.
That’s why Naruto got his dad’s hair.
If his theory was right, Seimei could use natural energy to speed up his body’s transformation, boosting his Constitution attribute faster.
But exactly how to do that would take some experimentation.
As for the second option—sealing part of his mental strength—Seimei had some ideas there, too.
His Heart-Sealing Soul Lock: Instant Contract Seal could restrict a soul, the source of mental strength.
If he could apply a similar seal to himself, he might be able to limit his surging mental power.
It wouldn’t be a permanent fix, but it’d buy him time to boost his Constitution and resolve the crisis.
