“It’s just flying, right? I can do that too!”
His defiant face was brimming with fighting spirit. “Come on, Lightning Killer! Let me show you how much I’ve grown these past years!”
Below…
Straw Hat Luffy shifted into Gear Fourth, transforming into a bouncy, rubbery form and soaring into the air.
“Brothers teaming up, huh? Man, this is gonna be a headache!”
Yoru shook his head, feigning a ‘this is terrifying’ look. “Guess I gotta get serious, or you two might just take me out!”
Meanwhile, below…
The Supernovas who couldn’t fly could only grit their teeth and curse inwardly: Damn it!
Were they being mocked for not being able to fly?
“Let’s go, Luffy!”
Fire Fist Ace let out a shout, his body suddenly emitting faint, glowing specks, like weightless fireflies drifting toward Yoru.
At the same time, Straw Hat Luffy’s body erupted with a BOOM.
Like a jet fighter, he rocketed toward Yoru. “Rubber… Great Ape King Gun!”
His fist retracted into his arm, twisting and coiling as he charged up, compressing his power to its limit. The air itself trembled, a heart-pounding force building up!
“Interesting!”
Yoru grinned, keeping an eye on Ace’s strange glowing attack while facing Luffy’s incoming strike.
The moment Luffy’s punch exploded forward, Yoru threw a fist that seemed to shatter the very space itself, meeting Luffy’s attack head-on.
He wanted to test just how strong Straw Hat Luffy had become.
BOOM!
The sky itself seemed to quake, shaking violently. Even the spectator stands shuddered, waves crashing with immense power.
Buzz!
A surge of black energy erupted in the sky, spreading outward like lightning bolts!
The buzzing sound was relentless—a clash of Luffy’s Conqueror’s Haki and Yoru’s overwhelming phoenix aura.
But Yoru’s fist didn’t directly meet Luffy’s. Instead, it stopped short, a strange, invisible force radiating from his arm, clashing with Luffy’s punch from a distance!
“Heh…”
Yoru smirked, looking at Luffy, who was visibly straining. “Gotta say, your growth is impressive. Looks like I was right to let you keep growing!”
“Since we last met, you’ve gotten a whole lot stronger. You didn’t let me down!”
Slowly but surely, Yoru’s fist began to overpower Luffy’s.
No matter how furiously Luffy’s legs blasted jets of air to boost his strength, he couldn’t change the fact that he was being pushed back.
“But…”
Yoru glanced at the glowing flames drifting around him, a smile in his eyes. “If you’re thinking of challenging an Emperor, you’re not there yet!”
“Right now, in a straight-up fight, you wouldn’t even beat Katakuri!”
BOOM!
Yoru’s aura suddenly surged, like a ferocious beast unleashed, so overwhelming it made Luffy feel like he was suffocating.
An unstoppable force slammed into him, sending him flying backward.
Crack!
The power hit like a parasite burrowing into his body, exploding inside him. Luffy nearly passed out, his eyes rolling back.
He was forced out of Gear Fourth, coughing up a mouthful of blood.
“Straw Hat Luffy was defeated with a single punch?”
“The gap between the new Fifth Emperor and the current Emperors is that huge?!”
The crowd in the stands was floored!
This was Straw Hat Luffy—the guy who’d torn through Big Mom’s ranks and taken down Katakuri, the top Sweet Commander!
And he lost, just like that?
The gap between a Sweet Commander and an Emperor was this massive?
It completely shattered their expectations.
“Firefly… Fire Daruma!”
Fire Fist Ace’s voice rang out, laced with urgency and a touch of anger!
Chapter 512: This Strike Was Effective
The fireflies drifting toward Yoru exploded in an instant, unleashing unimaginable, ferocious power.
Yoru’s wings swept around him, wrapping himself in their embrace!
Boom!
A massive fireball, like a meteor, erupted in the sky, shaking the air and shattering the ground below from afar.
A scorching heatwave surged outward, effortlessly tearing through the earth, spreading in all directions and obliterating the vast, dense jungle.
Even the Supernovas below paled, scrambling to escape.
This power was too overwhelming!
It was beyond anything they could handle.
"Will Yoru get hurt?"
"Probably, right?"
"No way an Emperor could come out of such a terrifying attack unscathed!"
The spectators in the stands speculated.
This completely shattered their understanding of what strength meant.
They were finally realizing just how spectacular a battle between true powerhouses could be!
Earth-shattering, sky-rending, world-altering.
Banana Island!
Far off on the sea, the Marines watched the scene unfold through a surveillance Den Den Mushi.
Fujitora: "Lord Yoru… his strength has grown even greater since we last faced him!"
Kizaru: "What a terrifying monster. He wasn’t this fearsome not long ago!"
Fujitora: "He no longer needs to rely on that incredible regeneration ability to rival us!"
Kizaru: "Which means he’s become an even bigger headache!"
"Ugh, animal-type monsters are such a pain. Kaido’s like this, and now Yoru too!"
"Maybe Yoru’s even trickier than Kaido!"
The Vice Admirals and Rear Admirals stared at the scene, their faces filled with shock.
They truly felt the weight of their mission—how far they still had to go.
Taking down a monster like this? They had a long road ahead!
High above the island!
As the flames dissipated, a pair of tattered wings slowly unfurled, revealing Yoru, his body wreathed in flames.
He was completely unscathed!
This made Fire Fist Ace’s heart sink.
"Well, well, that was one hell of a hit! Almost took me out!" Yoru said, his flames fading away, not a scratch on him—looking eerily like the immortal Phoenix Marco.
"Cut the jokes! We’re not done yet!"
Ace knew one attack wouldn’t finish Yoru. With a whoosh, he lunged forward, throwing a fiery punch.
"Alright then, let’s see how much you’ve improved these past two years!"
Yoru spread his wings, moving like a storm of wind and thunder. His razor-sharp wings tore through Ace’s fiery punch.
And then…
The two clashed with a thunderous impact!
Boom!
It was like two meteors colliding, the sky itself splitting apart in a spectacular display.
"Not bad! You’ve even mastered advanced Armament Haki!"
Feeling the refined aura radiating from Ace’s attack, Yoru nodded in approval.
"But too bad—you can’t fully unleash your Armament Haki in this state!"
With a single punch, Yoru sent Ace reeling. From Ace’s fiery form, several sharp, flaming spears materialized, shooting toward Yoru.
He was trying to slow Yoru’s advance!
But…
A void appeared in Yoru’s body, as if he’d predicted every attack’s trajectory. The spears passed right through him, leaving him untouched.
Observation Haki—foreseeing the future!
At this sight…
Ace’s pupils shrank, his shock palpable.
Facing Yoru, now dangerously close, Ace erupted with a blazing mirror of flames, forming a barrier in front of him.
Chapter 513: Who’s the Real Monster?
Boom!
No wonder it was a technique capable of blocking Admiral Aokiji’s “Ice Blast.”
Even Yoru was stopped in his tracks.
But the moment Yoru tore through the attack and burst out of the flames, a barrage of fiery bullets came hurtling toward him.
There was no time to react—this onslaught was meant to riddle him with holes!
Fire Fist Ace’s technique: Fire Gun!
But clearly, Ace didn’t think this alone would take Yoru down.
Pulling back to create distance, countless flames suddenly erupted from Ace’s body, swirling around him in intricate patterns like a blazing array, utterly awe-inspiring.
And there, in the center, Ace stood like a god of fire.
A massive fireball, like a blazing sun, rested in his hands—Great Flame Commandment: Flame Emperor!
“Try this one for size!”
Seeing Yoru block his fire bullets with his wings, Ace wasn’t about to give him a moment to breathe.
The enormous fireball warped the very air as it barreled toward Yoru.
“Hey, hey, hey, that’s a bit much! Are you trying to kill me or what?!”
Yoru’s feathers practically bristled with indignation.
Even he felt a twinge of fear from this attack.
This wasn’t like the blow he’d faced against Blackbeard back in the day.
Even an Admiral would have to take this one seriously.
Phoenix Feather Slash!
With a powerful flap of his wings, Yoru accelerated forward, his wings slicing through the air.
It was as if they carried the force to cleave the heavens, brimming with overwhelming power.
Boom!
In the face of that sun-like fireball, Yoru looked as small as an ant, yet he steadily held his ground against it.
“This is way too hot!”
Yoru could barely keep his eyes open.
The ferocious heat and crushing pressure felt like they’d burn him to ash, terrifyingly intense.
He could feel his body starting to burn!
It was beyond the maximum temperature he could withstand!
But…
Break!
A soaring sword intent erupted from him, sharp enough to slice through any obstacle.
With a piercing slash, the sun-like fireball was torn apart.
Even Ace, charging in with his attack, was sent flying by an invisible wave of sword energy.
In an instant…
Raging flames spilled out, engulfing the entire island.
It became a sea of fire.
“Contain it!”
If these flames weren’t stopped, they’d burn the entire island to cinders and spread even further.
Like a golden crow, Yoru forcefully absorbed the scorching, terrifying flames into himself.
In just ten seconds, he’d nearly consumed them all.
Even so, Treasure Island was left a smoldering ruin.
The Supernovas below looked worse for wear, most of them only surviving by diving into the water.
But the water level, once abundant, had dropped by half in those ten seconds—a testament to how terrifying that attack was.
When the chaos finally settled…
Yoru stood alone in the sky, like the sole deity of the scene.
Though, to be fair, he looked a bit rough himself.
His clothes were partially burned, his hair singed…
And there were visible burns on his body.
“What a terrifying attack. As expected of Fire Fist Ace—damn, that was scary! I almost didn’t make it!”
“You young guys are all monsters!”
Hearing Yoru’s remarks, the crowd below couldn’t help but roll their eyes.
Speechless!
Terrifying?
Who’s the real monster here?!
It’s you!
Fire Fist Ace, a man who surpassed even the top commanders, was taken down so easily by you.
Straw Hat Luffy, another guy who’s beaten top commanders, couldn’t even last a few moves against you.
Chapter 514: The Supernovas' Great Siege
So, who’s the real monster here?
Obviously, it’s you!
“This is… an Emperor!”
“Even the supernovas are powerless against him!”
The spectators in the stands watched the scene unfold, too shocked to speak.
They knew the Four Emperors were terrifying.
They’d seen the gap between an Emperor and regular powerhouses during the Summit War years ago.
But now, witnessing Yoru dominate this group of legendary figures so effortlessly, they were utterly floored.
“Ace, you okay?!”
Amid the rubble on the ground…
Straw Hat Luffy looked at Fire Fist Ace, who was clutching his chest, blood streaming from a deep, crisscrossing wound, his voice filled with concern.
“Cough, cough… I’m not dead yet!”
Ace stood up, his face pale, glaring at Yoru in the sky, his fists clenched in frustration.
“This guy… he’s gotten this strong?!”
Years ago…
When Ace first met Yoru, he’d once pushed him to the brink.
But now…
The gap between them had grown so vast.
“Hey, everyone, still want to fight for that Eternal Pose?”
Yoru looked down at the crowd below, their faces grim, some itching to jump into the fray. He grinned and asked casually.
Then…
He landed on the ground, giving up his advantageous position in the air.
“Ba-ba-ba, well then, don’t mind if I do!”
“Time for some battle music—hope you enjoy the show!”
Soundwave App stepped forward first, striking a stance like a praying mantis, his legs bouncing rhythmically as he beat his chest.
The sound was almost melodic, as if he were simply performing for Yoru.
But…
If you let your guard down, you’d be in for a world of pain.
“Scratch Disk: Boom!”
With a sharp slap to his chest, an explosion erupted around Yoru.
“Boom, boom, boom!”
Having landed a hit, App wasn’t about to give Yoru a chance to recover. He unleashed a relentless barrage, explosions bursting across Yoru’s body.
“Scratch Disk: Slash!”
Swish! A razor-sharp wave of energy tore through Yoru’s body, cutting through the smoky haze of the explosions. A deep gash appeared on Yoru’s chest.
Seeing this…
App grinned, thrilled that his attack had caught Yoru off guard and actually injured him.
Perfect.
No way he’d give Yoru a chance to counter—he was going for the Eternal Pose.
“Slash, slash, slash!”
His ability was just that unstoppable—simple, yet brutally effective.
Yoru touched the wound on his chest and grinned. “Not bad for a guy with a 350 million Berry bounty. That’s some scary power!”
For some reason…
That smile sent a chill down App’s spine, his hair standing on end.
But in that moment…
The other supernovas weren’t about to sit back and watch.
“You! Hand over that Eternal Pose!”
Kidd manipulated a massive steel arm, its power rivaling Luffy’s Gear Fourth, and sent it crashing toward Yoru.
App seized the chance to fall back—his strength was in long-range attacks.
He couldn’t afford to get too close!
“Let’s see you try, Kidd!”
Yoru leaped forward like a ferocious beast, pouncing onto the iron fist.
BOOM!
The air itself seemed to explode from the impact, the entire island trembling violently.
And then…
Kidd’s steel arm shattered, and he was sent flying like a kite with its string cut.
Blood splattered through the air!
But…
Behind Yoru, someone was already closing in.
Chapter 515: Free-for-All
It was ‘Glutton Girl’ Jewelry Bonney!
She had the ability to make people younger!
“How embarrassing, getting hurt by Soundwave Apoo! Time to turn you into a kid!”
Just as she was about to activate her power to transform Yoru into a child, Yoru grabbed her long leg and swung her around.
Without a shred of mercy, he spun her once and slammed her hard into the ground.
“Demon-Slaying Form!”
“Slaughter Slash!”
Hawkins transformed into a towering straw scarecrow, spraying iron nails and clawing downward.
But Kira, right beside him, closed in fast, leaving Yoru no room to dodge.
“Interesting!”
Yoru thrust both hands outward, his Armament Haki surging forth as an invisible force, powerfully repelling them both.
“Phoenix Fire Feathers!”
And that wasn’t all!
Flames erupted from Yoru’s body, forming countless fiery feathers that rained down on Hawkins’ Demon-Slaying Form like a storm.
Pop! Pop! Pop!
Hawkins was instantly riddled with holes, his body catching fire and reverting to his normal form. Pale-faced, he spat out a mouthful of blood.
As for Kira…
Yoru’s figure flickered, appearing right in front of him just as he steadied himself. With a simple, unflashy punch, Yoru struck the air.
Thud!
Kira’s body curled like a shrimp, flying backward and crashing through countless rocks.
“Scratch Disk Slash!”
Apoo launched another sneak attack.
But this time, Yoru’s body turned into flames, rendering the attack completely useless.
Like a phantom, Yoru appeared right in front of Apoo.
“What?!”
Apoo’s eyes widened in horror, a chilling sense of despair washing over him.
Before he could react, Yoru’s hand shot out, grabbing his face and slamming him into the ground.
“Argh!”
Apoo’s consciousness blurred, his body wracked with pain as if it were falling apart.
“You bastard! Magnetic Demon!!”
Kidd roared, as if possessed, drawing in metal from all directions to form a massive steel warrior. With a ferocious aura, he charged at Yoru, swinging a devastating punch.
BOOM!
The punch kicked up a huge dust cloud, but Yoru tore through it, appearing in front of the steel giant completely unscathed.
Behind him, his wings glimmered with sharp light, exuding an aura that could tear the sky apart.
“Phoenix… Feather Slash!!”
Like a streak of light, Yoru passed by the steel demon!
Yoru landed, and with a crack, a massive gash split open across the steel demon’s chest, cleaving it in two.
Even Kidd…
His eyes rolled back, seemingly unconscious.
A huge, horizontal wound gaped across his chest, blood gushing out.
Yoru’s gaze turned to the few remaining Supernovas, a grin spreading across his face. “Just you guys left!”
“Luffy, let’s do this!”
Pirate Hunter Zoro bit down on his third sword, a chilling, razor-sharp aura radiating from him.
“Yeah!”
Straw Hat Luffy’s eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched as he inflated into Gear Fourth.
This was an opponent he’d inevitably face in the future.
Getting a sense of his strength now was a rare opportunity.
So…
He had to go all out!
“Let’s go!”
With a loud shout, Luffy charged forward like a jet fighter, closing the distance in an instant with a BANG. “Rubber Ape King Gun Barrage!”
After his ‘Great Ape King Gun’ had proven ineffective, Luffy didn’t dare use it again.
Instead, he unleashed a relentless storm of fists, aiming to pin down Yoru’s focus.
