"Heh heh, come on, Ossan," Luffy chimed in, grinning at the curly-haired middle-aged man. "You're seriously underestimating our Kazama-aniki!"
Luffy continued, puffing his chest out a bit, "Our Kazama-aniki is famous for being a true man of iron, a real tough guy! And earlier, he totally mopped the floor with those two high-ranking Baroque Works agents, easy peasy!"
"You gotta understand, those two were Akuma no Mi users, Devil Fruit eaters! But even so, in front of our Kazama-aniki, they were just trash, total weaklings! So, the way I see it, everyone in Baroque Works is just a bunch of pathetic, good-for-nothing jerks!"
"Hahahaha! Well, well, look what we have here! You little runts might not have any strength, but you sure love to talk big in front of us, don't you!"
Just then, a stout young man with curly red hair suddenly appeared before Kazama and the others.
The moment this newcomer showed up, the curly-haired middle-aged man broke out in a cold sweat.
He quickly whispered to Kazama, "Kazama, little bro, you gotta be super careful! This guy is a top agent from Baroque Works, codenamed Miss Merry Christmas, but his real name is Drophy! He's eaten the Mogu Mogu no Mi, the Mole-Mole Fruit, a Zoan type! His powers are way more dangerous than that Gem guy from before!"
"Heh heh, well damn, you old bastard. You really did your homework on me, didn't ya!" Drophy snarled upon hearing the curly-haired man's words.
"Undercover rats are what I hate most! I was planning to use my trump card to wipe the floor with you little punks, but I didn't expect you to spill all my secrets right off the bat! Man, that really pisses me off!"
Drophy sneered, glaring daggers at the curly-haired man.
Terrified of Drophy's power, the curly-haired man immediately stumbled back several steps, hiding right behind Kazama.
"So, you must be the leader of these little shrimps, huh!" Drophy then turned his attention, his verbal spear now aimed at Kazama.
"Leader? I wouldn't go that far," Kazama replied calmly. "But with me here, you're not going to lay a finger on Whiskey Peak, and you're definitely not taking Princess Vivi anywhere."
"Heh heh heh, that's rich! You're killing me!" Drophy scoffed, then roared at Kazama.
"You little nobody! Who do you think you are, trying to act all tough in front of me? Saying I can't take Princess Vivi? Let me tell you something, I am taking Princess Vivi! And not only that, I'm going to grind a little punk like you into dust!"
"Mogurazuka Highway! Moguranmaru!" (Earth Mole Mound Four-Way Intersection! Mole Submerged Fish!)
The instant Drophy finished speaking, he activated his Mole-Mole Fruit powers. He transformed into a mole, dug a hole straight into the ground, and vanished from sight.
Seeing Drophy unleash his Devil Fruit ability in the blink of an eye, the curly-haired middle-aged man was scared out of his wits.
He urgently warned Kazama, "Kazama, little bro, you absolutely have to watch out for this Drophy! He's a master at using his Devil Fruit powers! And now that he's dug a tunnel under us, he's almost certainly planning a sneak attack!"
"Oh really?" Kazama said with a cool confidence. "Too bad for him. I, Kazama, might be scared of a few things, but sneak attacks? Definitely not one of 'em!"
Chapter 507: Thrashing the Inu Inu no Mi User
As Kazama spoke, a cold smirk played on his lips. Then, with a single hand raised, he unleashed the Doton: Doryūdan (Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet). Subsequently, a massive earth dragon shot up directly from beneath the ground, forcefully dragging out Dorofy, who had been hiding underground.
"What! How is this possible?" Seeing that Kazama could also use Earth Release ninjutsu, and that it was even more impressive and powerful than his own, Dorofy was utterly shocked. You have to understand, Dorofy had been using his Mole Mole Fruit ability, which was how he could manipulate earth to attack others. He’d been in hundreds, if not tens of thousands, of battles, yet no one had ever bested him when it came to Earth Release. But now, Kazama was an exception. This filled Dorofy's heart with dread.
At that moment, Kazama grinned at Dorofy and said, "Let me tell you, Dorofy, your Earth Release might be impressive, but in front of me, Kazama, it's utter trash."
"What? You're pissing me off!" Seeing Kazama dare to act so cocky in front of him, Dorofy became enraged. He immediately started cursing at Kazama. "You little punk, I'm telling you, don't you freaking think you can show off just because you've trapped me with your Earth Release! Earth Release: Banana Palm!"
Dorofy instantly transformed his hands into large mole claws and with a swipe, obliterated Kazama's Earth Dragon Bullet. He then charged at Kazama once more.
"Fine! Since you freaking think your Earth Release is better than mine, then today I'll let you see what true power looks like!" As Kazama spoke, he once again cast Doton: Doryūheki (Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall), immediately followed by Doton: Chōjūgan no Jutsu (Earth Release: Super Added-Weight Rock Technique). Effortlessly, he pinned Dorofy to the spot, rendering him immobile.
"This is infuriating! Molehill Highway!" Dorofy immediately unleashed his trump card. "Mole Impact!" While in his Molehill Highway state, Dorofy charged headfirst towards Kazama's earth wall. However, he had vastly underestimated the power of Kazama's Doton: Doryūheki. You see, Kazama's Earth-Style Wall was imbued with the power of his Special Flame. Its hardness was already indomitable. Therefore, this Dorofy was simply no match for Kazama. Subsequently, with a few quick punches and kicks, Kazama knocked Dorofy to the ground.
He then addressed Dorofy again, "I'm starting to wonder, doesn't your Baroque Works have any decent fighters? They actually sent a piece of trash like you to show off in front of me. Let me tell you, call everyone from your Baroque Works here right now, or I'll dice you into a million pieces and scatter your ashes!"
"What? How infuriating!" Just as Kazama's voice fell, an enemy who looked like a hunting dog appeared in the air before Kazama. "You little punk, do you really think Baroque Works has no one left?"
This person was a senior agent of Baroque Works, Beibu, who had consumed an Inu Inu no Mi (Dog-Dog Fruit).
"This is Bon Kurei's ability; he can transform into that three-headed hunting dog! His attack power is incredibly high, super strong!" the curly-haired middle-aged man hurriedly explained Beibu's abilities to Kazama.
Just as he was speaking, Beibu had already unleashed the nefarious power of the Kobu Kobu no Mi (Fist-Fist Fruit), transforming himself into his dachshund form.
Chapter 508: Giving the Mane Mane no Mi User a Beatdown
Right after, he lunged at Kazama.
But too bad for him, in front of Kazama, that Inu Inu no Mi, or whatever it was, was totally useless.
So, Kazama, quick and easy, just unleashed his Shinra Tensei. That Bepo guy got sent flying and slammed to the ground.
"You two good-for-nothings! Can't even handle a little brat?!"
Just then, a guy in a prisoner outfit, looking a lot like an okama, blocked Drophy and Bepo, who had been sent flying.
As this person spoke, he shot Kazama a cold smirk.
"Listen up, ya little punk! Let me tell you who I am before I take care of you. I'm a top agent from Baroque Works! I can copy anyone's abilities. That means whatever moves you use, I can use 'em too!"
"Oh, really now? If you're that amazing, I guess I'll just have to see if you can actually copy my moves!"
Seeing that these Baroque Works guys were all Akuma no Mi users, Kazama just scoffed.
And at that moment, when Bon Kurei saw Kazama wasn't even taking him seriously, he absolutely blew his top.
Then, in a flash, he came charging at Kazama.
"Alright, you little punk! You dare look down on me? Today, I'm gonna show you what I'm really made of!"
As Bon Kurei said this, he unleashed his own special move.
It’s a shame, though, because what he considered a trump card was just trash in Kazama’s eyes.
So, Kazama once again immediately used Shinra Tensei.
And when Bon Kurei saw Kazama use Shinra Tensei, he just sneered.
Right away, he used his Mane Mane no Mi powers and copied Kazama's Shinra Tensei.
Then, those two Shinra Tensei clashed.
The impact created a massive shockwave that rippled through the surrounding open area, which really stunned Kazama.
Because Kazama originally thought that no matter how incredible this Bon Kurei guy was, he definitely wouldn't be able to copy his Shinra Tensei.
After all, his Shinra Tensei was a Rinnegan ability.
But he never would have guessed that this Bon Kurei could actually copy his Shinra Tensei.
This was way beyond what Kazama had expected.
And at this point, even though Bon Kurei had seemingly copied Kazama's Shinra Tensei on the surface...
Truth was, his stamina couldn't handle the massive energy drain of Shinra Tensei at all.
But, this Bon Kurei was the type who'd suffer just to keep up appearances.
So, as soon as he saw he’d successfully copied Kazama’s Shinra Tensei...
He got all cocky again and started ruthlessly mocking Kazama.
"How 'bout that, little punk? Bring out whatever moves you got, one by one. 'Cause in front of me, you're just garbage, a total weakling!"
"Alright, if you're gonna be that arrogant, then today I'm gonna show you just how strong I really am!"
Kazama then unleashed another ninjutsu.
But Bon Kurei still wasn't taking Kazama seriously.
He figured since he could copy Kazama's Shinra Tensei, he could copy any of Kazama's moves.
What he didn't realize, though, was that for Kazama, Shinra Tensei was just one of his most basic moves. Kazama had mastered countless super ninjutsu.
Then, as Kazama unleashed this current ninjutsu, Bon Kurei was completely and utterly shocked.
Chapter 509: Subduing the Inu Inu no Mi User
Man, you wouldn't believe it! In just the blink of an eye, that Kazama fellow went and unleashed his Susanoo!
Now, it wasn't like Kazama didn't have other moves to take down this Bon Kurei, you know. Nope, Kazama wanted Bon Kurei to really, really understand the massive gap in their power. You gotta remember, Kazama was like a legit "God of Shinobi." Things like the Rinnegan, Sharingan, Rinne Sharingan, all five elemental jutsu, and even twenty-three types of weird, special flames – Kazama had mastered them all like it was second nature.
So, in Kazama's eyes, this Bon Kurei guy? Just an ant. Kazama could squash him anytime, anywhere.
But Kazama wasn't some bloodthirsty psycho. Plus, he knew that to truly beat someone, you gotta crush their spirit first. Break their will, and they become as weak as a newborn sea slug.
And just as Kazama figured, the moment he unleashed his complete Susanoo, Bon Kurei just plopped to the ground, totally terrified. Thud!
It wasn't just Bon Kurei either! That curly-haired middle-aged dude and even Princess Vivi were shaking like leaves in a storm. They’d never seen anyone pull off such an insanely powerful and incredible technique before. In their minds, Kazama wasn't even human anymore; he was a straight-up deity. Who else but a god could unleash a move so breathtakingly terrifying?
By this point, Kazama's Susanoo was towering hundreds of jō (hundreds of meters) high! Kazama stood right on top of its head, looking down at Bon Kurei, who was still paralyzed with fear on the ground.
"Well? Aren't you a user of the Mane Mane no Mi?" Kazama taunted. "If that's the case, why don't you try and copy this Susanoo of mine, huh? I tell you what, if you can copy my Susanoo, I, Kazama, will admit defeat right here and now!"
"You little punk! How dare you try to provoke me! Today, I'll show you what I can do!"
Initially, Bon Kurei had thought, "Sure, I'm a Mane Mane no Mi user, but my abilities have limits! How could I possibly pull off a Susanoo as ridiculously strong and amazing as Kazama's?" So yeah, his first instinct was to run for the hills.
But then Bon Kurei thought, "Hold on, I'm a man of iron will, an okama with pride! If I just run away like this, wouldn't that be way too shameful?"
So, steeling his nerves, Bon Kurei decided to use his copying ability, ready to go head-to-head with Kazama. He figured if he could just manage to copy the appearance of the Susanoo, then Kazama would have technically lost, and he could get his pride back, fair and square.
But he never would have guessed… Forget about copying the Susanoo's abilities, just trying to mimic its form was too much for Bon Kurei to handle.
Before Bon Kurei could even replicate a tenth of the Susanoo's outer shell, his stamina completely gave out. This was totally beyond anything he'd expected.
And just like that, in a single moment, Bon Kurei collapsed to the ground again, all because he tried to forcefully imitate Kazama's Susanoo. This scared Bon Kurei so badly that he stumbled back several steps, breaking out in a cold sweat. He absolutely, positively had not seen that coming.
Chapter 510: Can You Imitate Susanoo?
He originally thought this Kazama fellow was nothing special.
Even when Kazama unleashed that hundred-zhang tall golden giant, he figured it was just a flashy, useless piece of junk.
But he never imagined that the Susanoo Kazama was now manifesting was no piece of junk at all.
Instead, it was a genuinely incredible, powerhouse technique!
Kazama hadn't even made a move against Bentham (Mr. 2 Bon Kurei) yet, but Bentham collapsed to the ground, his stamina completely depleted.
This sight immediately sent Luffy and the others below into fits of laughter.
Luffy then pointed straight at Bentham’s nose and started laying into him.
"Bentham, you damn bastard, you son of a bitch! Weren't you acting all high and mighty and super tough before? Weren't you just showing off in front of our Big Bro Kazama, saying he was no match for you?!"
"If that’s the case, then let me ask you: if our Big Bro Kazama is no match for you, why are you now scared stiff and collapsed on the ground just from seeing what he’s capable of, huh?!"
"This...?" Bentham mumbled.
By this point, Bentham already felt humiliated enough because his Mane Mane no Mi ability had failed.
But now, seeing Luffy dare to point at his nose and berate him, rubbing salt in the wound, really got under his skin.
This instantly made Bentham even more furious.
So, in a flash, Bentham launched a sneak attack on Luffy.
But he clearly hadn't counted on Luffy’s body being made of rubber.
Luffy possessed the ability to deflect practically anything and stretch his body endlessly.
So, although Bentham’s sneak attack connected with Luffy…
...it didn’t cause Luffy a shred of damage.
Instead, Luffy sent the attack flying right back, and it slammed fully into Bentham.
It hit Bentham so hard he was crying out for his mom and dad.
At that moment, Kazama saw that Bentham, despite being clearly outmatched, still had the gall to act cocky in front of him.
This sent Kazama into a towering rage, absolutely livid.
Kazama immediately roared at Bentham, "Listen here, you damn bastard! I, Kazama, spared you several times before and didn't want to bother with you. But I never freaking expected that even though you clearly lost, you’d still dare to act all tough in front of me and even attack my good friend—my nakama! I'm telling you, there's no way I'm forgiving you now!"
"Spare me your speeches! I don’t care if you forgive me or not! Let me tell you, you little punk! I wasn't interested in dealing with you earlier because I hadn't eaten enough when I got here! If you've got the guts, let me go back, give me a few years, and then I'll come back and fight you properly!" Bentham retorted defiantly.
Whack! Bam! Pow!
Before Bentham could even finish his sentence, Kazama landed a flurry of punches and kicks, sending him sprawling to the ground.
"Seriously, what's wrong with you? Are you an idiot?" Kazama said. "Daring to act all high and mighty in front of me, and then saying I should wait a few years for you? Let me tell you, I, Kazama, wouldn't wait even three seconds for you anymore!"
"I, Kazama, may be a kind person, but I am not weak!"
As Kazama spoke, with a few swift and decisive moves, he beat Bentham to the point where he was basically crippled.
At this point, the other nearby agents of Baroque Works saw that even Bentham, their strongest operative in the vicinity, had been utterly defeated by Kazama.
This terrified them so much they were shaking like leaves in a storm.
And the reason Kazama wanted to take them on one-on-one at this point…
