Chapter 1004: Progress and Anticipation
🕑 Added 2025-08-05 15:12:35 +0000 UTCSeimei pulled his thoughts together and shifted his gaze from the bloodline section to the skills section on his status panel.
His “Chakra Refining Technique” was as steady as ever, running 24/7 and gaining 24 proficiency points each day. Over the past two months, its proficiency had climbed from level 7 (2004/20000) to level 7 (3444/20000). To reach level 8, he’d need another 690 days—almost two years. So, he just glanced at it and moved on.
Then there was “Chakra Control.” After hitting level 8, the proficiency required to reach level 9 had skyrocketed to 50,000 points. Developing various bloodline limits and experimenting with chakra nature transformations had steadily improved his control, earning him a single proficiency point here and there. But even so, reaching level 9 was a distant goal. Right now, it sat at level 8 (8100/50000)—still a long way off. Seimei skimmed over it too.
Next up was the “Wood Clone Technique.” Just as he’d calculated, it would take another 30 days to hit level 9. Not exactly a short wait.
But “Body Extreme” was a different story. From now on, its daily proficiency gains should surpass the previous 1,000 points. The reason? Simple. After this latest transformation, his physical strength had increased significantly, allowing his body to handle more intense chakra stimulation. This naturally sped up his training, which would, in turn, boost his proficiency accumulation.
How much of a boost? That required testing. But that wasn’t his main focus. What he really wanted to test was how much faster his physical strengthening and Byakugan evolution had become after this transformation. From there, he could estimate how long it would take for his next physical breakthrough.
With that thought, Seimei was itching to get started, but he held back. There was one more test he hadn’t done.
Closing his eyes slightly, he calmed his mind. Moments later, he focused and began fully activating the “Chakra Refining Technique,” digging into his potential.
That’s right—he was testing how much his theoretical chakra ceiling and recovery speed had improved after this boost to his “Constitution” stat.
He was starting with the chakra ceiling.
Half an hour later, Seimei stopped the technique and carefully compared his condition before and after to gauge the increase in his potential.
After some time, he reached a conclusion: this boost to his “Constitution” stat had raised his theoretical chakra ceiling by about 1.3 million points. It wasn’t as much as the 1.6 million-point increase he’d gotten when his “Spirit” stat went from 28 to 29. But compared to the 900,000-point boost from his last “Constitution” increase (from 26 to 27), 1.3 million was nothing to scoff at. In fact, it was a significant jump.
Why the big increase? It was straightforward. This time, the boost to his “Constitution” stat had narrowed the gap with his “Spirit” stat, unlocking some of the potential that had been suppressed due to their imbalance. As a result, his theoretical chakra ceiling grew more than expected.
Well, maybe “more than expected” wasn’t quite right. He’d been mentally prepared for this, and it wasn’t the first time it had happened.
Either way, his potential had definitely increased. He couldn’t yet see a time when he’d fully tap out his potential, but preparing now was better than being caught short later.
Those thoughts flashed through his mind, and Seimei quickly refocused. After a brief rest, he moved on to testing his chakra recovery speed.
There was no need to test recovery through the “Chakra Refining Technique”—until its level increased, it could only restore 120,000 points per day (5,000 points per hour × 24 hours). What he needed to test was his body’s natural chakra recovery rate. Adding the two together would give him his total daily chakra recovery.
With that in mind, Seimei paused the “Chakra Refining Technique” and opened his panel. He waited quietly, observing the “Chakra” stat as his body naturally regenerated chakra.
Time ticked by.
About ten minutes later, Seimei stopped observing. His panel showed an increase of 56,250 chakra points.
Ten minutes equaled 56,250 points. That meant an hour would be 337,500 points, and a full 24 hours would be 8,100,000 points.
In other words, under optimal conditions, his body could now naturally recover 8.1 million chakra points per day. Before today, that number had been 6.7 million.
This “Constitution” boost had increased his chakra recovery speed by 1.4 million points—a massive improvement.
For context, when his “Constitution” went from 26 to 27, releasing some suppressed potential had only boosted his recovery by 1 million points. This time, it was 1.4 million.
Why the difference? Two reasons. First, this boost brought his “Constitution” stat closer to his “Spirit” stat, releasing even more suppressed potential. Second, as his base stats grew, the gap between each point widened, amplifying the effects—sometimes exponentially.
These factors combined to create this result. And this was just the beginning.
Seimei could already foresee that as his base stats continued to climb, this gap would widen further. Far from being intimidated, he was quietly excited about it.
Just recently, he’d calculated that in nine days at most, his Sharingan’s evolution progress would break through the (20000/100000) mark. When that happened, his “Spirit” stat would likely increase by one point.
Based on past experience, every ten points in a base stat was a milestone—a qualitative leap. This time, his “Spirit” stat would hit 30 points.
Seimei had a gut feeling that reaching 30 points in “Spirit” would bring some unique changes. He was both thrilled and eager to find out what they’d be.
But now wasn’t the time to get carried away.
Inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…
Taking several deep breaths, Seimei calmed himself down. He closed his panel, crossed his hands, and formed the “Ram” seal, casting the “Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.” Three hundred shadow clones appeared, and he dove into another round of training.
As the saying goes, even the tallest towers start from the ground up. While looking forward to the future, he needed to focus on the present.
And right now, that meant training as hard as he could.
