Chapter 1002: Time Flies
🕑 Added 2025-08-04 14:26:40 +0000 UTCVarious thoughts flashed through Seimei’s mind. After calculating the outcome, a faint smile appeared on his face before he brushed the thoughts aside.
With a thought, he closed his status panel and stood up, heading toward the wooden cabin.
At the cabin’s entrance, he sensed the wooden clones integrated into the structure itself and the soil below, which stored chakra. Seeing no abnormalities, he nodded and entered the cabin to rest.
The night passed quietly.
The next day.
Seimei woke early, freshened up, and grabbed a quick bite to fill his stomach. Then, following the training plan he’d outlined the previous night, he began his practice.
He performed the “Multiple Shadow Clone Technique,” creating three hundred shadow clones, all tasked with developing Dust Release.
Meanwhile, he entered the volcano’s interior, training relentlessly in the “Limit of the Body” technique.
During this time, he focused intently, channeling his chakra to stimulate gradual evolution in his body.
Three days passed in a flash.
As his rest day approached, Seimei’s Ice Release suddenly advanced.
Well, “suddenly” wasn’t quite accurate.
After all, he checked his progress on the status panel daily, sometimes hourly.
Over the past twenty-plus days of passive evolution, his Ice Release had finally accumulated the last hundred points needed, successfully advancing from (900/1000) to (1/5000)!
This breakthrough further enhanced his potential.
As a result, the difficulty of strengthening his body decreased accordingly.
Though he hadn’t conducted detailed tests, based on the effects of his Wood Release and Lava Release advancements, Seimei estimated this would shave about a week off his body’s transformation timeline.
In other words, by the end of August, his body would likely reach the critical point for transformation.
Today was already August 7th.
That meant in just over three weeks, his body would complete its transformation.
This wasn’t a long time at all.
Initially, he’d estimated his body wouldn’t transform until November.
Yet, in just over two months, he was already on the verge of crossing that threshold.
How could he not be thrilled?
Inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…
Seimei took several deep breaths to calm his excitement.
Only then did he turn his attention to the potential issues in his body.
That’s right—issues.
With his Ice Release advancing again, the demands on his genetic capacity had increased. His current body clearly struggled to handle this newfound power.
Standing still, even without using Ice Release, Seimei could faintly sense the power stirring restlessly, as if it might spiral out of control at any moment.
This put immense pressure on his mind.
He vaguely felt his condition deteriorating.
Fortunately, he’d been cautious this time. After noticing the anomaly, he avoided taking in excessive memory information.
Overall, things were still under control, unlike last time when his body and mind fell into direct imbalance.
Still, he needed to restore his body quickly.
Otherwise, the consequences wouldn’t be pleasant.
The only silver lining was that his body was close to transformation.
With that in mind, Seimei wasted no time. After a brief rest, he formed hand signs and performed the “Multiple Shadow Clone Technique,” creating three hundred shadow clones to begin a new round of training.
Soon, evening arrived.
Seimei ended his training early and returned to Konoha.
Instead of continuing to train, he took the time to rest and recover.
After a day of rest in Konoha, he returned to Moon Island for another ten-day stint of intense training.
In the days that followed, Seimei returned to Konoha every ten days. Each time, he refrained from training.
He also stopped absorbing the memories of the shadow clone stationed in the village. Instead, he only exchanged brief words with it to get a general sense of what was happening in Konoha before setting the matter aside.
He devoted nearly all his time to training.
This dedication paid off.
First, his “Limit of the Body” advanced.
As expected, on the twentieth day of training, he accumulated enough proficiency for “Limit of the Body” to rise from level 7 to level 8.
As anticipated, the technique’s effects strengthened after the upgrade.
However, since the jump from level 7 to level 8 wasn’t a qualitative leap, the improvement was limited.
His Byakugan’s daily evolution points increased from twenty-five to thirty—a twenty percent boost.
The speed of his physical strengthening also rose by about twenty percent.
But since the upgrade came a bit late, it had little impact on his body’s transformation timeline.
In total, it only shaved off less than a day.
On August 29th, after completing another round of “Limit of the Body” training, Seimei sensed his body but noticed no significant progress.
Instead, the familiar barrier holding back his physical growth felt almost tangible.
Seimei knew he’d reached his limit.
Next, he needed to focus his mind, using “Tenshi no Hito” to guide the process while fully employing the “Mystical Palm Technique” to channel Yang Release chakra, breaking through this barrier.
Glancing around at the harsh environment, Seimei’s brows furrowed slightly. With a thought, he activated the “Flying Thunder God Technique.”
In an instant, he teleported outside the volcano.
Standing on an open area of Moon Island, Seimei let out a long breath.
He let his lungs work properly again, then glanced at the shadow clones training across the island. With a thought, he dispelled the “Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.”
All the shadow clones vanished instantly.
A flood of memory information surged into his mind.
Gritting his teeth against the discomfort in his head, Seimei quickly reviewed the memories, absorbing and processing the training experiences within.
Time ticked by.
About fifteen minutes later, he finished absorbing the memories.
But he didn’t wake. Instead, he seemed to fall asleep, his breathing growing steady, the tension on his face gradually easing.
An hour passed.
Suddenly, Seimei’s eyes snapped open.
A powerful aura radiated from him.
But it quickly dissipated.
Sensing his condition, Seimei confirmed he was at his peak.
Still, he didn’t rush to break through. Instead, he took to the sky, circling the island several times, using his Byakugan to scan for anything unusual.
Once he was sure everything was clear, he began the breakthrough.
This step was familiar to him. With “Tenshi no Hito,” he only needed to follow his body’s instincts and proceed methodically.
With that thought, Seimei closed his eyes.
The power of “Tenshi no Hito” enveloped him.
Next, he performed the “Mystical Palm Technique,” channeling a surge of Yang Release chakra into his body, using it as fuel to drive his physical evolution.
As time passed, Seimei could clearly feel the invisible barrier restricting his body’s growth beginning to crumble under the combined force of these powers.
