Chapter 1019: The Decision
🕑 Added 2025-08-14 17:04:59 +0000 UTCWithout hesitation, Seimei returned to the volcano’s interior. He first fused over ten thousand points of stored natural energy into Sage Chakra, using it to enhance his body.
Then, he raised his hands to form seals, executing the Wood Clone Technique.
His shoulder twitched slightly.
In the next moment, a wooden clone appeared before him, quickly transforming to mirror his appearance.
Seimei looked at the clone and said directly, “I’m leaving the task of finding a suitable place to you.”
That’s right—he planned to send the wood clone to the Land of Fire to search for a location rich in natural energy, perfect for his training.
As for himself, he would naturally continue his own cultivation.
The wood clone, hearing his orders, didn’t waste words. It nodded, then used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport to the island’s surface.
Next, it performed Wind Release: Wings of Wind and donned a Chakra Cloak, soaring into the sky.
After that, it used Earth Release: Ultra-Lightweight Rock Technique to reduce its weight.
With all preparations complete, the clone flew off Moon Island, heading toward the Land of Fire.
Yes, the wood clone didn’t use Flying Thunder God to teleport directly to the Land of Fire—it chose to fly instead.
The reason was simple. First, developing new sealing techniques had increased Seimei’s chakra consumption, leaving him with less chakra to spare each day. In situations like this, where there was no rush, saving even a bit of chakra was worth it.
Second, it was obvious that finding the right spot in the Land of Fire wouldn’t happen instantly. Constantly using Flying Thunder God to travel between locations would be inefficient.
So, after weighing his options, flying with ninjutsu was the most practical choice.
Of course, these thoughts only briefly crossed Seimei’s mind. His focus remained on his training.
Soon, an hour passed, marking the next stage of his practice.
Seimei paused his Limit of the Body training and recalled his twelve shadow clones, absorbing over ten thousand points of natural energy into his body.
With practiced ease, he channeled an equal amount of chakra into the special space in his abdomen, fusing them to create Sage Chakra.
Then, focusing intently, Seimei drew all the Sage Chakra from that space.
He fully activated Limit of the Body, letting the Sage Chakra flow through his meridians, gradually transforming into fuel for his body’s rapid evolution.
Compared to regular chakra, Sage Chakra was undeniably superior. Though it was only a little over ten thousand points, its effects far surpassed what the same amount of regular chakra could achieve.
Seimei could clearly feel his body improving, and his Byakugan, evolving alongside it, received some nourishment as well.
While it wasn’t enough to gain a full evolution point yet, the progress was still impressive.
If he could maintain a pace of gaining ten thousand points of Sage Chakra every half hour, Seimei estimated his Byakugan could gain four to five evolution points daily.
And this was just the beginning.
His Natural Energy Perception and Natural Energy Control skills only needed five thousand proficiency points to level up from Lv4 to Lv5.
Currently, he was gaining a thousand proficiency points per day for each skill.
That meant, in just five days, both skills could reach the next level.
While going from Lv5 to Lv6 wouldn’t be a qualitative leap, it would still significantly boost the amount of natural energy he could manipulate.
By then, he’d have even more Sage Chakra to fuel his Limit of the Body training.
This would speed up both his physical enhancements and the rate at which his Byakugan gained evolution points.
Even if the skills didn’t level up, the steady increase in proficiency would still improve his training efficiency.
The effect might not be dramatic, but over time, it would add up to something substantial.
His future was looking bright.
These thoughts flashed through Seimei’s mind before he quickly refocused, pushing them aside.
Once the Sage Chakra in his body was depleted, he used Flying Thunder God to teleport back to the island.
Glancing at the shadow clones training Dust Release both inside and outside the island, Seimei, as usual, dispelled the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.
In an instant, all the shadow clones disintegrated.
A flood of memories poured into his mind.
It took Seimei about fifteen minutes to sort through them, fully digesting the training experience they contained.
With this, he could now approach developing Dust Release and new sealing techniques from a higher starting point.
Wasting no time, Seimei opened his ninja pouch, popped a few enhanced soldier pills to replenish the energy spent over the past hour, and formed hand seals to cast Multiple Shadow Clone Technique again.
Poof, poof, poof!
As clouds of chakra smoke cleared, 424 shadow clones appeared.
Seimei assigned 300 of them to continue developing Dust Release and 100 to work on new sealing techniques.
The remaining 24 clones were originally meant to join the 100 absorbing natural energy. However, considering the island’s limited natural energy, Seimei decided to have them work on the new sealing techniques as well.
This wouldn’t be a one-time thing. In the next few training cycles, he planned to reassign some clones from natural energy absorption to sealing technique development until the island’s natural energy balance was restored.
This way, he wouldn’t waste the clones’ efforts and could speed up the sealing technique progress.
Time passed bit by bit.
Before he knew it, night had fallen.
Suddenly, a memory surfaced in Seimei’s mind.
He immediately stopped practicing the Wood Clone Technique and closed his eyes to carefully review the memory.
As expected, it came from the wood clone he’d sent out that morning to find a suitable location.
And it didn’t disappoint. After a day of searching, the clone had found a place in the Land of Fire rich in natural energy.
Seimei’s eyes snapped open.
He glanced at the shadow clones training around the island, thought for a moment, and decided not to recall them early.
Using the Telepathy Technique, he instructed them to keep training, then channeled chakra from the special space in his forehead to restore his chakra to its peak.
With his condition at its best, he extended his senses, locked onto the Flying Thunder God mark left by the wood clone before it dispelled, and with a thought, activated the technique.
In an instant, he vanished from the spot.
