Like a balloon with a large hole, countless souls were spewed out. For a while, the boiler room was filled with grey, misty souls.
Some souls' grievances had long since dissipated; they were just trapped by the soul aggregate and unable to ascend to heaven, so they began ascending on the spot.
These souls actually made up the majority. After all, most vengeful spirits are just ordinary people whose grievances can only sustain them in the human world for a period, but not forever, otherwise the earth would have been filled with vengeful spirits long ago.
In reality, only some extremely talented ghosts or certain special places can allow ghosts to stay indefinitely.
Some souls still carried grievances, such as the soul of the bandit leader. He rushed towards Francesca immediately, seeking revenge.
Roy was about to intervene to stop the bandit leader's soul when a dazzling holy light suddenly descended from the sky.
This holy light was like a time-stop spell, freezing all the souls in the room. Only Roy could still move.
Roy looked up at the ceiling in surprise. Although in the spiritual world, Angel Roy could also summon such holy light, he couldn't do it in the real world.
Accompanying the dazzling holy light, Roy heard solemn and sacred music, as if a choir was singing in his ear.
Then, a large white door appeared on the ceiling of the boiler room. Two figures with wings on their backs slowly descended from the door. One had 6 pairs of light wings, and the other had 5 pairs.
Could it be...
A pair of silver eyes fixed on Roy. The owner of these eyes was instantly stunned.
The ten-winged angel beside her completely failed to notice her companion's anomaly and was still looking strangely at the large number of souls trapped in the holy light.
"Strange, why are there so many vengeful spirits here?"
Afterward, this ten-winged angel discovered Roy.
"Huh, why is there an angel here? And one I've never seen before? Lord Michael, do you know who he is?"
The ten-winged angel's voice made Michael a little absent-minded. A very complex expression appeared on her face.
"Yes, Rachel, I know who he is."
Rachel had never seen such an expression on Michael's face. In her memory, Michael's face should always be calm and serious.
"Lord Michael?"
Michael quickly snapped back to attention, her expression returning to her usual dignified and serious look.
"Rachel, this is my friend Roy, whom I met in the human world. He possesses the bloodline of ancient angels and is a hybrid of human and angel."
Rachel showed a look of sudden realization, then bowed her head to Roy.
"So that's it! My respects to you, Angel of the Human World!"
Roy didn't know what the etiquette was like in heaven, so he could only nod at Rachel.
Michael actually had a lot she wanted to say to Roy, but with Rachel standing beside her, some things couldn't be said, so she could only ask about the situation there.
"Roy, what happened here? Why are there so many vengeful spirits?"
Roy also wanted to ask Michael some things, but there was more than one 'third wheel' present, so he could only tell her what he knew about Antonia Grassa.
After hearing Roy's narration, Rachel was very shocked.
"Are there such wicked people in the human world? Sacrificing thousands of people on an entire ship just for personal gain?"
Michael sighed and replied to Rachel.
"Rachel, you've never left heaven, so you might not know the situation in the human world. There are indeed many terrifying humans like that."
Rachel nodded, half understanding.
"Since that's the case, let's send these souls to heaven first!"
According to heaven's procedures, the souls of vengeful spirits and suicides cannot enter heaven. Only clean souls can enter heaven.
These clean souls would then be judged in heaven. Good people would remain in heaven, while sinners would be sent to hell.
Coincidentally, the angel responsible for judging souls in heaven was Rachel. She discovered a sudden large group of souls entering heaven almost simultaneously, so she reported it to her superior, Michael.
That's why the two angels descended to the human world.
With a wave of Rachel's hand, the vengeful spirits still carrying grievances, frozen in the holy light, had their grievances purified and were then sucked into the large door.
Francesca, who was farther away, was also purified and drifted involuntarily towards the door to heaven.
Seeing this, Roy quickly grabbed Francesca. Rachel looked at Roy strangely.
"Roy, why are you stopping this soul from entering heaven?"
Roy didn't know how to explain for a moment and could only force out a reason.
"Uh, this person is my friend. She still has an unfulfilled wish and wants to stay in the human world for now."
Facing the two powerful angels, Francesca didn't dare to speak and could only keep nodding in agreement with Roy.
Rachel frowned slightly, looking at Roy and Francesca.
"Regardless of whether she has a wish or not, it's not a good thing for a soul to linger in the human world. Roy, you should let her enter heaven!"
Roy looked at Michael, hoping she could say a few words for him.
Michael understood what Roy meant. After a moment of hesitation, she spoke.
"Rachel, since Roy said so, let this soul temporarily remain in the human world."
Rachel looked at Michael in surprise. She didn't expect the usually fair Angel of Judgment to say such a thing.
"Lord Michael, but..."
Michael felt Rachel's gaze and felt a bit embarrassed, only turning her head to avoid her sight.
"Roy is a righteous human. He once thwarted the King of Greed's conspiracy. You can trust him."
Rachel's eyes widened as she looked at Roy.
"Is that true? Then I ask you!"
Rachel had a cute appearance, giving off the feeling of a girl next door, which made Roy feel an urge to show off a bit.
"That's old news. Just recently, I defeated the King of Wrath who had descended with half his power."
Upon hearing this, even Michael was a bit surprised, and perhaps even slightly worried.
"The King of Wrath descended to the human world?"
From Michael's reaction, it seemed she didn't know about this yet. Had Uriel not had time to tell her?
It had already been several months!
Or was communication between the human world and heaven not very smooth?
Roy nodded nonchalantly.
"Yes, Uriel was present at the time. I dealt with the King of Wrath with her."
Hearing this, Michael breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"So Lord Uriel intervened. No wonder they could deal with the King of Wrath who had descended with half his power! Roy, you're not being very honest! How can you steal Lord Uriel's credit!"
Rachel seemed not to believe that Roy could deal with Samael and directly attributed all the credit to Uriel, leaving Roy speechless.
Uriel did do a lot in that battle, but the one who delivered the final blow to Samael was Roy.
Moreover, if Roy hadn't intervened, Uriel would probably have returned to heaven long ago and wouldn't have been able to participate in the subsequent battle.
Michael saw that Roy wasn't lying, because she knew that although Uriel had descended to the human world early, she had actually been there for less than a year and her combat power hadn't reached its peak. She certainly wasn't a match for Samael, who had descended with half his power.
So Roy must have made a huge contribution in this battle.
"Rachel, don't casually doubt others. Roy wouldn't lie about something like this."
Scolded by Michael, Rachel immediately corrected her attitude and apologized.
"I'm sorry, Roy! Did you really personally send the descending King of Wrath back to hell?"
"Uh-huh! If you don't believe me, you can ask Uriel next time you see her."
Since Roy said so, how could Rachel not believe him?
Thus, the angel looked at Roy with eyes full of admiration, a look that Roy quite enjoyed.
However, Michael seemed to have had enough and coughed twice.
"Ahem! Rachel, things here are done. You should return to heaven first."
"Huh? Lord Michael, aren't you coming back with me?"
"I still have some things I want to talk to Roy about. I'll return afterward."
Rachel nodded, not thinking too much about it.
"Then I'll head back first!"
Saying that, Rachel flapped her wings and flew into the door to heaven.
With that, only Roy, Francesca, and Michael were left in the boiler room.
One human, one ghost, one angel. They looked at each other, and the atmosphere was very strange.
"Francesca, you should go back into the gun for now too."
Francesca looked at the strange atmosphere between Roy and Michael, seemed to realize something, and her eyes revealed an expression of disbelief.
Actually, Francesca was very eager to see some gossip, but Roy forcibly put her into the Smith & Wesson Model 629 and also blocked her perception of the outside world.
This reaction actually hinted that there was something going on between Roy and Michael.
Even without Francesca present, the atmosphere didn't improve. Michael just looked at Roy with an indescribable complex gaze, refusing to say anything, making Roy feel a tingling sensation on his scalp.
While the atmosphere on Roy's side was so awkward it could make your toes curl hard enough to dig out the White House, the atmosphere in the speedboat outside the Antonia Grassa was quite good.
Penny held Mason's digital camera and excitedly filmed everywhere, looking very relaxed and happy.
This made Catherine a little strange.
"Ms. Brown, aren't you worried about Mr. Blake and the others at all?"
"Of course not! Roy won't fail!"
Penny had absolute faith in Roy. They had been through so many incidents together, many of which were more dangerous than the current situation, but Roy had never disappointed her.
On the other side, Finnegan couldn't help but speak up.
"But they've been in there for a long time. Maybe it'll be dawn soon!"
Penny scratched her head.
"Has it been that long? Maybe the cruise ship is too big and it's hard to find the engine parts?"
Hearing this, Charles immediately stood up.
"How about we go aboard and take a look too?"
Among them, Charles was the most worried because his precious daughter, Serena, was currently on the ship.
Before, Charles had advised Serena several times not to take risks, but Serena wouldn't listen and even used him as an excuse.
Charles himself was also a person who liked adventure, both in his career and in life.
Buying the Santiago itself was an adventure, and predictably, something happened. So when Serena used him as an example, he couldn't refute it at all.
"Wouldn't that be bad?"
Finnegan hesitated, not because he was afraid to board a ghost ship.
It was just that if everyone went aboard, what would happen to the speedboat?
"I think we should still trust Roy! Let's wait a little longer. Roy will never disappoint us!"
Dalia clearly stood on Roy's side. Her attitude was the same as Penny's.
Charles and Catherine's confidence was clearly not as strong, but as the others were talking, they suddenly noticed the thick fog around the speedboat gradually dissipating.
"Is it dawn?"
Finnegan immediately stood up because, according to the old captain he had encountered, the fog would dissipate after dawn, and the ghost ship would also disappear.
Unfortunately, all the electrical devices on the ship had malfunctioned, and even their watches had stopped, so Finnegan didn't know what time it was now.
The only electrical device that was still working was the digital camera in Penny's hand, but the time displayed on this camera had also stopped.
"Doesn't feel like it! It looks like it's not dawn yet!"
The few people walked out of the cabin onto the deck, observing the sky.
As the thick fog dispersed, everyone could finally see the sky again. Looking at it now, it didn't seem like the sun was about to come out.
At this moment, Amy thought of a possibility.
"Could it be that Roy has already solved the ghost ship problem?"
Hearing this, Penny immediately nodded.
"It must be! Roy must have solved the root cause of the ghost ship, that's why the fog dispersed!"
The others breathed a sigh of relief simultaneously. Finnegan returned to the cockpit and began checking the instruments.
"Phew! All the instruments are working normally, that's great! Now we just need to wait for Mr. Blake and Joey to bring back the parts..."
Just as he finished speaking, Finnegan suddenly noticed a reaction on the sonar system. It seemed like some large creature was swimming towards them from the seabed in the distance.
Hiss, why does this situation feel like it's happened before?
Finnegan immediately had a PTSD episode on the spot.
"Something's wrong! Something seems to be approaching us from the seabed!"
"What did you say?"
The few people on deck were startled. They also thought of what had happened before, especially Charles. He had heard the staff say something similar just before the Santiago sank.
Penny quickly regained her composure. Her strength was the greatest there, and she also represented Roy, so she was definitely the one to make decisions.
"How far is that thing from us?"
Finnegan kept watching the sonar system.
"At that thing's current speed... it will be directly beneath us in about five minutes!"
Penny frowned tightly. After a brief thought, she made a decision.
"Captain Finnegan, immediately detach the speedboat from the Antonia Grassa!"
When Charles heard Penny's words, he immediately became anxious.
"What? What about Serena?"
Penny looked at Charles calmly.
"Mr. Wayland, we're not sure if that thing is the sea monster from before, and we're not sure what its target is. The best option is to separate from the ghost ship to avoid being wiped out. Do you understand what I mean?"

Chapter 298: The Kraken
Charles's mouth fell open, his expression quickly turning dejected.
Although Charles really wanted to argue with Penny, he had to admit she was right.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket; it's something everyone understands.
Catherine quickly comforted Charles.
"Mr. Weyland, with Mr. Black here, your daughter will be fine. Think about what happened on the Santiago!"
Charles finally calmed down and let out a long sigh. He forced down the unease in his heart and nodded.
"Alright, I'll listen to you."
Finnegan breathed a sigh of relief. He actually agreed with Penny, but he had no say on the speedboat.
"In that case, everyone pitch in! I can't get this boat started quickly by myself!"
A minute later, the speedboat pulled away from the ghost ship and slowly moved towards the distance.
Just as they managed to get some distance from the ghost ship, they saw a giant sea monster emerge from the water and start attacking the Antonia Graza.
"Damn it! It really is that thing! Everyone be careful!"
Because they weren't far away, the monstrous waves stirred up by the sea monster crashed towards the speedboat, nearly flipping it over.
Fortunately, Finnegan's driving skills were excellent, and he successfully kept the speedboat from capsizing in the huge waves.
The sea monster paid no attention to the speedboat; its target seemed to be only the Antonia Graza.
"It's terrifying!"
Seeing the sea monster attack again, Charles was still incredibly horrified. Tiny humans were like ants before the sea monster.
The five people inside the Antonia Graza felt a violent shaking, and everyone was caught off guard.
Because the ghost ship had always been very stable, to the point where you couldn't even feel like you were at sea, the sudden violent shaking left everyone confused.
"What's happening?"
Roy was just about to speak to Michael when this happened.
Then, Michael's expression changed, and he gave the answer.
"Oh no! I sense a Leviathan's blood relative nearby!"
Hearing this, Roy was stunned for a moment and immediately thought of the sea monster from before.
"Could it be that sea monster?"
Roy's expression was very grim. The fact that the sea monster could track them here pretty much confirmed his earlier suspicion.
That is, the sea monster was deliberately tracking him, likely the result of the spell cast by the female Pinhead.
The reason it didn't come directly for Roy before was probably because the food on the Santiago was so abundant that it temporarily forgot about Roy.
This meant that as long as Roy was at sea, this sea monster would keep chasing him.
"Roy, my time is limited. I need to go deal with that sea monster first. We can talk if there's a chance later!"
With that, Michael pulled out the Sword of Judgment and swung it a few times at the wall of the boiler room. Clean cuts appeared on the wall, creating a direct opening to the outside of the Antonia Graza.
Roy opened his mouth but ultimately chose not to stop Michael. Some things, once said, leave no room for retreat.
So, Roy picked up the Eye of the Dead and turned towards the treasury.
Inside the treasury, Serena and Trillian had already woken up. The few of them hadn't figured out exactly what happened and thought it was just the commotion from Roy fighting the Antonia Graza, until Roy ran back and told Heather.
"This cruise ship might sink soon! Joey, let's hurry to the engine room, find the parts, and get out of here!"
"What about all these jewels and gold?"
Trillian looked greedily at the jewels and gold in the treasury, seemingly reluctant to leave.
Roy was a bit speechless. This woman was really incredibly greedy. He had no choice but to walk over and give her a sharp smack on the butt.
"Idiot! This stuff is on this ship and won't run away! Even if the ship sinks, we can always come back and salvage it later! You won't miss out on your share!"
Hearing this, Joey's eyes lit up.
"I get some too?"
Roy nodded.
"Everyone will, but I'm taking the biggest share!"
Trillian and Joey naturally wouldn't refuse. If it weren't for Roy, they wouldn't have survived this long. Roy deserved the biggest share.
However, after Roy said that, Trillian and Joey's motivation suddenly increased. They walked through the constantly shaking cruise ship without any complaints, their steps surprisingly light.
In this situation, Joey quickly found usable parts, and then the five of them began to escape the ghost ship.
At this moment, Roy suddenly felt a sensation of being watched and immediately activated his Eye of Truth to scan the surroundings.
Not long after, Roy saw the girl in the white dress hiding in the corner, peeking out.
"Hey, you there, what are you doing?"
The others looked at Roy in surprise, because they didn't see anything. The girl in the white dress had deliberately made herself invisible.
"You still found me."
The girl in the white dress appeared sheepishly, nearly scaring the most timid Joey to death.
"Oh my god!"
"Calm down, Joey! It's just a little ghost. Why aren't you going to heaven?"
Roy had thought that all the ghosts on the ship had been taken by Rachel. Now it seemed that only the souls released by the Antonia Graza's destruction were taken by Rachel, and the other souls on the ship were still here.
The girl in the white dress looked at Roy, a little embarrassed.
"I wanted to come and say thank you before I left, thank you for freeing me from the Antonia Graza's control, even though you did... that to me."
That?
Serena, Trillian, and Joey all looked at Roy with strange expressions, as if he were a pervert, making Roy's face darken.
"Explain yourself! I only spanked your butt, I didn't do anything else!"
The girl in the white dress let out a light laugh, then her body slowly began to float upwards.
"Hehe, anyway, thank you! I wish you happiness and good health! Oh, my name is Katie Hargrove."
Who asked you?
Roy suspected that the girl in the white dress didn't ascend just to annoy him. Even though Roy had just explained, Serena, Trillian, and Joey still looked at him a little strangely.
"Why are you looking at me like that? I told you I didn't do anything like that!"
At this moment, Heather stepped forward and said something fair.
"You should believe Roy! Roy isn't that kind of person; he likes them... big!"
Joey looked at Heather's figure and then thought of Penny and Francesca, showing a look of sudden understanding.
"Oh, I see!"
"Let's not waste any more time, we don't have much!"
Saying this, Roy walked towards the deck with a darkened face.
As soon as the five of them stepped out of the cabin onto the deck, they felt the Antonia Graza begin to capsize.
Serena lost her footing and was thrown off.
Roy immediately transformed into his demon form, scooped up the others, and then went to grab Serena. He finally managed to save her just before she fell into the water.
Then, Roy carried the four of them and flew onto the speedboat, which sank significantly lower in the water.
"Oh, thank God! Serena, you're back safe!"
Charles hugged Serena joyfully.
Roy pouted. God is already missing; thanking God is less useful than thanking me.
"Finnegan, you drive the boat away from the battlefield first. I'm going to deal with that sea monster!"
Finnegan nodded, but Amy was a little worried.
"Roy, maybe we should just leave? That sea monster is just too big!"
"Running away isn't an option. I suspect that sea monster is targeting me. As long as we're at sea, we can't escape!"
"But..."
Serena also wanted to speak, but Roy had already waved his hand.
"A friend from heaven just came to find me. I'm not fighting alone. This is the best chance to get rid of the sea monster."
The others stopped trying to persuade him and watched Roy take off. The speedboat's waterline immediately rose significantly.
Yeah, Roy in his demon form was just too heavy.
At this moment, Michael's battle with the sea monster had entered a stalemate.
Michael had the advantage from above; with just one swing, he could easily cut off parts of the sea monster's body.
And the sea monster's tentacles found it difficult to harm Michael, who was flying in the sky. So, in terms of the situation, Michael had the upper hand.
But Michael was still fighting with a frown because the sea monster's regeneration ability was very strong. Even if parts of its body were cut off, they would quickly regenerate or grow new limbs.
Roy flew over to assist Michael at this time.
"Michael, how's it going?"
Seeing Roy in his demon form, Michael frowned slightly, then quickly relaxed.
"It's very troublesome! This thing is the legendary creature, the Kraken. Its body is huge, and its regeneration is incredibly strong. I can't kill it quickly!"
Kraken?
Roy knew about this. The Kraken was a sea monster from Norwegian folklore that roamed the seas off the coasts of Norway and Iceland, also known as the North Sea Giant or the Norwegian Sea Monster. Legends said it often attacked ships and fishermen at sea. He didn't expect this thing to actually exist.
"Michael, is there any way to deal with it?"
"The best way is to use fire and strong acid to destroy its regeneration ability, but it's in the sea right now. I can only wear it down, but my time is running out!"
That really is troublesome!
As mentioned before, it's hard for angels and demons to stay active in the human world for long periods; they need a physical vessel.
So, angels and demons would choose to find a suitable human host to possess.
"So, if we just destroy its self-healing ability, we can kill it?"
Michael nodded.
"Then leave it to me!"
Roy quickly entered his Blood Rage state. Wounds slowly appeared on the surface of his skin, and blood began to evaporate from his body.
Then, Roy dove into the Kraken's mouth.
"Roy!"
Michael didn't expect Roy to do that and didn't have time to stop him.
Clenching his teeth, Michael raised the Sword of Judgment high, preparing a powerful attack.
"Sword of Heaven—"
The blade of the Sword of Judgment erupted with dazzling light. At that moment, the sun began to rise, and illuminated by the morning light, the Sword of Judgment became incredibly brilliant, visible even to the people on the speedboat several nautical miles away.
This beam of light grew larger and longer, shooting straight into the sky, as if extending into the universe.
"—!"
Michael brought the sword in his hand down heavily, striking the Kraken.
The Kraken let out a piercing scream, its entire body instantly splitting in two. Furthermore, the cruise ship behind it and the sea were completely cleaved apart, stretching out as far as the eye could see, as if the entire ocean had been split.
But just as Michael said, the Kraken's regeneration ability was very strong. Even with the power of holy light, it couldn't completely destroy its body.
Because the Kraken's body was just too massive, completely destroying it with holy light would consume a terrifying amount of energy.
Even as one of the Four Archangels, Michael couldn't immediately channel that much holy light energy.
The severed parts of the Kraken's body had already begun to slowly regenerate. This was even under the restraint of the holy light; without the holy light, it would regenerate even faster.
At this point, Michael saw Roy, holding the Executioner's Blade, covered in blood, with six black tentacles behind him, slashing wildly inside the Kraken's body.
The Kraken's stomach acid was very corrosive, but Roy possessed the super healing ability of Lady Deathpool, combined with his own strong physique, allowing him to fight while enduring the Kraken's stomach acid.
And the Dark Tendrils' powerful devouring ability on flesh and blood could effectively wound the Kraken.
After all, no matter how fast the Kraken's health regenerated, if Roy directly cut its maximum health, that regeneration speed would be useless.
The Kraken realized what Roy was trying to do, and immediately grew a large number of small tentacles inside to try and stop Roy, but the Executioner's Blade, boosted by hellish power, burned with dark red flames. The power of these flames was very strong, burning the small tentacles trying to entangle Roy into ashes.
Michael understood Roy's strategy and began to cooperate with Roy's fighting style, splitting the Kraken's body as much as possible.
Blood Rage continuously reduced Roy's health, Super Regeneration restored Roy's health, and Dark Tendrils could absorb the Kraken's flesh and blood to supplement the life energy needed for Super Regeneration to restore health. This entered a positive cycle.
Unless the Kraken could break this cycle, it would eventually be worn down and killed by Roy.
At this moment, the Kraken's massive body became a disadvantage; it simply couldn't catch the agile demon-form Roy.
And so, under Roy's consumption, the Kraken's body visibly began to shrink.
In half an hour, it had shrunk by about a quarter.
At this rate, the Kraken would be completely consumed by Roy in at most two hours.
At this moment, the Kraken began to feel fear. Its biological instinct made it not want to carry out the female Pinhead's command anymore and it began to swim towards the deep sea.
The unprepared Roy was dragged down with the Kraken.
Michael was about to rescue Roy when she heard hymns from above, and at the same time, a beam of holy light landed on her head.
It was time for Michael to return to heaven. If she didn't go back immediately, very troublesome things would happen, and it would also violate heaven's regulations.
Michael gritted her teeth, raised the Sword of Judgment again, activated the Sword of Heaven. Using the holy light from the opening of the Gate of Heaven, she quickly completed the charge and then swung it down.
This time, the Sword of Heaven was much less powerful than before, but it still reached the depths of the ocean, cutting the Kraken open again.
"Roy, I can only help you this much. I hope you'll be alright!"
Michael glanced at the split surface of the sea, then was forced to fly into the Gate of Heaven.
One more angel
Chapter 299: Old Man, Young Wife
Being dragged into the deep sea didn't make things any better for Roy after Michael's strike.
The Kraken swam incredibly fast, and in just a blink of an eye, Roy had already been dragged down thousands of meters underwater.
Remember, the world record for free diving (diving without equipment or oxygen tanks, just with your body) is only 113 meters. Roy had already exceeded that record by more than ten times.
Even with his physical attributes boosted to 119 by his demon form, Roy still felt incredibly uncomfortable.
Roy had to make a choice quickly: either keep fighting the Kraken or immediately get out of its body and go back to the surface.
The Kraken was still diving frantically, and Roy didn't have much time left to think.
Killing the Kraken would still take a significant amount of time, and by then, Roy would probably have been dragged to an unknown depth at the bottom of the ocean.
At that point, even if Roy could kill the Kraken, he probably wouldn't be able to make it back to the surface.
Understanding this, Roy immediately swam out through the cut Michael had made with the Heaven's Sword.
The Kraken seemed to be waiting for Roy to come out of its body; countless tentacles immediately wrapped around him.
Deep in the sea, Roy's movements were severely restricted. Even with his expert-level water sports skills, he couldn't shake off the Kraken's tentacles.
The Kraken was also fighting for its life now. It knew that if it didn't finish Roy off this time, it definitely wouldn't get another chance in the future.
Fear Domain activated!
Desire Domain activated!
The dual domain effects were outstanding!
Don't let the Kraken's appearance fool you into thinking it's not smart. As a legendary creature that has lived since ancient times, its intelligence definitely met the minimum requirements for the Fear Domain.
As for the Desire Domain, animals naturally have desires, and their primal desires are even harder to suppress than humans'.
The problem was that Roy was now at a depth of nearly two thousand meters underwater. Even with his expert-level water sports skills, he couldn't swim back to the surface anytime soon.
So, just as Roy was desperately swimming to a place where he could see sunlight approaching the surface, the Kraken caught up again.
Just a few hundred meters more, and Roy could burst out of the water. At that point, he could fly away with his wings, and the Kraken wouldn't be able to bother him anymore.
But there's no 'if only'.
The Dark Touch and Hell Execution Blade wildly swung, but they couldn't stop the Kraken's tentacles.
During the struggle, the oxygen in Roy's lungs was rapidly decreasing, and his movements became slower and slower.
Finally, Roy was exhausted and entangled by the Kraken's tentacles, then dragged further down towards the deep sea.
Damn it! Just a little bit more!
As if sensing Roy's unwillingness, the Eye of the Reaper hanging around his neck emitted a faint ghostly light in the dark seabed.
Instantly, Roy's vision entered the same gray world as during his fight with Samael last time.
The Eye of the Reaper was activated again?
Roy didn't have time to think about why the Eye of the Reaper was activated. His vision was narrowing, which was caused by oxygen deprivation in his brain.
He had to find the Kraken's weak spot quickly!
Fortunately, the Kraken was much weaker than the Lord of Wrath, so its weak spot was very obvious, didn't require searching, and didn't move.
Roy instantly released his demon form and transformed into a Nephilim, then gray light brewed in his eyes.
Chaos Beam!
A gray beam of light pierced through the tentacles, hitting the Kraken's weak spot dead center.
Instantly, the Kraken's entire body froze.
Immediately after, its massive, mountain-like body began to crumble, flesh and organs scattering, covering the sea area for several kilometers.
[Ding! Obtained the Kraken's Fate Chest! Open it?]
The Kraken was finally defeated, but Roy was also completely exhausted. He didn't have the strength to swim back up and was nearing the limit of holding his breath.
In the last moments of consciousness, Roy used the energy manifestation ability of his Nephilim form to create a gray shell that pushed the seawater away.
Using this gray shell, Roy could slowly float upwards.
His incredibly strong physique and super self-healing ability prevented Roy's body from dying immediately, but his consciousness had already fallen into a coma.
On the speedboat, Roy's women looked worried.
Fenigan approached Heather and Penny.
"Ladies, we can't wait any longer. It's been three days!"
Joey had already fixed the engine a long time ago, but the women insisted on waiting for Roy to return, so everyone else had to wait in the sea area near the ghost ship.
They waited for three days.
The ghost ship, Antonia Graza, had long since been cut in half by Michael's Heaven's Sword and sunk, leaving no trace on the surface.
There was no food left on the speedboat a long time ago. The only reason they survived these three days was thanks to Fenigan and Charles being able to fish, which barely kept them from starving.
But by the third day, the freshwater on the speedboat was also gone.
Food could be barely solved by fishing, but freshwater was impossible to get. There was no sign of rain these past two days, and continuing to wait here would only lead to everyone dying of thirst.
Little Cassie, the youngest, was already feeling unwell. Thankfully, there were still some medicines on the boat.
Heather looked at the Cursed Double Daggers in her hands and fell silent. She knew Roy wasn't dead because she had confirmed it with Sadako and Kayako.
Both Sadako and Kayako had signed contracts with Roy. If Roy died, the contracts on the two female ghosts would automatically remove.
So far, the contracts on Sadako and Kayako were still stable.
Dalia looked at Heather and Penny hesitantly. Although she also loved Roy very much, she also loved her daughter. Seeing Cassie growing weaker due to lack of food and freshwater, her resolve began to waver.
"Heather, maybe we should leave first? Everyone is getting a bit weak!"
At this point, Charles offered a suggestion.
"I think Ms. O'Connor is absolutely right! Actually, we can totally go back to shore first, find a professional salvage company to come back and search for Roy, and maybe salvage the Antonia Graza too. What do you think?"
Charles's proposal was supported by most people, leaving only Heather and Penny.
Penny pulled Heather's arm. The situation on the boat was very clear now.
Heather sighed, finally agreeing.
"Alright! Fenigan, did you record the coordinates here?"
"Of course! How could I forget to record the coordinates!"
"Mr. Charles, do you know any relatively safe salvage companies?"
Charles quickly nodded.
"I happen to know a salvage company. I can help contact them when we get back!"
"Then let's head back now."
Fenigan and Joey quickly started the speedboat and began heading towards the nearest land.
A few days later, a giant oil tanker passed through this area of the sea.
The structure of an oil tanker is a bit different from normal ships. It looks more like a sand carrier traveling on a river channel; the hull is usually quite long, there are hardly any buildings on the deck, the cabins are usually at the stern, and there's a crane at the bow.
(North Pioneer)
This design is meant to store oil as safely as possible and facilitate storage and transportation.
At this time, a young, beautiful, and hot woman was leaning against the railing on the deck of this giant tanker, looking out at the calm sea.
The woman was wearing a fancy dress that completely mismatched the environment of the oil tanker, and her expression wasn't very happy; she seemed to have something on her mind.
After a while, a middle-aged man in a suit came over.
This middle-aged man looked very wealthy, his demeanor clearly that of a rich person, although his hairline was a bit precarious, with only a few stubborn hairs remaining.
The middle-aged man walked behind the young woman, gently hugged her, and spoke to her in a slightly fawning tone.
"My dear, are you still angry with me?"
The young woman struggled slightly but didn't break free, then let him hold her, though her mouth subtly pouted.
"Jack, you told me you would take me out to sea for fun, but you didn't say it would be on this kind of oil tanker!"
"I'm sorry, my dear. Something happened with one of the company's offshore oil wells, and I had to come check on it myself! Next time, next time I'll buy you a yacht, and we'll go out to sea for fun together then!"
Well, although the middle-aged man was named Jack, the young woman was not Rose.
Hearing Jack's promise, the young woman turned and hugged the middle-aged man, smiling brightly.
"You said it! Don't lie to me!"
"My dear, you're my treasure, how could I bear to lie to you!"
The two hugged and whispered to each other for a while, but a staff member ran over and interrupted their intimacy.
"Boss, you have a phone call!"
Jack patted the young woman's back.
"Janice, don't stay on deck for too long. It's windy outside, you might catch a cold."
"Okay!"
Jack turned and walked towards the cabin. After the middle-aged man disappeared, the smile on the young woman's face also vanished.
It was clear that this combination of an older husband and a younger wife, with a nearly twenty-year age difference, wasn't as loving as it seemed.
The reason is obvious: Janice is young, beautiful, and has impressive "headlights" (referring to her chest, size 32E). Did she fall for Jack, a man nearing fifty, because she liked his bald head?
That's naturally impossible. Their union was simply one having beauty and the other having "money power".
So, Janice's expression change just now was an act, merely providing emotional value for Jack. When Jack wasn't around, she naturally didn't want to keep acting.
After all, the original plan was to go out to sea on a yacht for fun, and now it turned into going out on an oil tanker to inspect an oil well.
Although the ship became bigger, Janice's mood got worse.
As for Jack saying he would buy her a yacht, she just took it with a grain of salt.
Women like Janice wouldn't easily believe men's promises; otherwise, she wouldn't have chosen to marry Jack.
Leaning against the railing for a while, Janice rubbed her arms.
"It does seem a bit cold."
Janice felt her clothes were a bit too thin and was preparing to go back inside the cabin.
At this moment, Janice suddenly saw something gray floating on the sea surface.
Janice looked closer. It looked like some kind of gray creature.
Why would something like this be floating on the sea?
Janice's curiosity was piqued, and she immediately went to find her husband, Jack.
After a while, Jack and Janice returned to the deck with binoculars, accompanied by the captain.
"It does look quite strange. What exactly is that thing?"
Jack handed the binoculars to the captain, hoping the experienced captain could provide an answer.
The captain took the binoculars and looked, but he didn't recognize it either.
"It doesn't look like wood, or plastic. Could it be the body of some kind of creature?"
Hearing that, Janice offered an idea.
"Wouldn't we know if we just salvaged it?"
The captain hesitated. For safety reasons, he didn't really want to salvage something of unknown origin. Who knew what might happen.
"Madam, isn't that a bit inconvenient? We're also in a hurry!"
But Jack saw that Janice was very interested and chose to support her.
"It's fine, we're not that short on time. Captain, stop the ship now and salvage that thing to see."
Since the boss had spoken, the captain had no choice but to stop the oil tanker and lower a lifeboat to salvage the object.
Half an hour later, the crew successfully brought the gray object onto the oil tanker.
"What on earth is this thing?"
Jack was very curious looking at the elliptical object in front of him.
This thing was entirely gray, with a very smooth surface, seamless and integrated, looking neither like a creature nor an artificial product.
Janice couldn't help but reach out and tap it, finding that the object actually had a temperature, very close to that of the human body, and it seemed to be hollow.
"It looks like a gray capsule? It's hollow inside!"
The captain proposed a theory.
"Could this be an alien spacecraft? Like in the movies, some kind of escape pod from outer space?"
Although this idea was quite outlandish, it gained the support of most people present.
After all, this was a time when rumors about aliens, UFOs, and Area 51 were most popular, and Hollywood had also made many movies related to aliens.
Coupled with the fact that this gray elliptical object indeed didn't look like anything from Earth.
Even Jack started to believe this viewpoint. He looked at the captain.
"Open this thing."
"Boss, won't that be dangerous?"
"How will we know if it's dangerous if we don't try? If this thing really is from outer space, the person who opens it will definitely go down in history. Don't you want to try?"
These words made the crew members present show expressions of excitement. They were all just ordinary people, potentially at the bottom of society their whole lives.
But now, an opportunity to become famous was right before their eyes, making it very difficult to refuse.
So, several crew members immediately volunteered to open the elliptical object for Jack, on the condition that if there were media interviews in the future, their names must be mentioned.
After Jack agreed to this condition, these crew members began to work.
Initially, the crew members just hit it with hammers and chisels, but after more than ten minutes, they only left some white marks on the surface of the elliptical object.
Everyone was amazed by the object's sturdiness, which strengthened their belief that it was extraterrestrial material.
Fortunately, the oil tanker lacked no tools. After these crew members worked hard with various tools for several hours, the gray elliptical object finally opened.
Everyone was eager to see what was inside. Janice had even picked up her camera, ready to take pictures at any moment.
Inside the elliptical object lay an incredibly handsome man.
