Roy felt the entire bedroom start to vibrate violently, as if something was trying to break out.
At the same time, a large amount of seawater appeared underfoot, quickly engulfing Francesca's spirit body and completely startling her awake.
"Oh no! Antonia Graza is waking up!"
Roy was a bit surprised by this.
"Are you talking about Antonia Graza? Isn't that the name of the cruise ship? How could it 'wake up'?"
Francesca looked at Roy with a complex expression.
"Before you ask that, could you please untangle the hair around me first?"
Now that Francesca was Roy's person – oh no, Roy's ghost – he naturally didn't need to use Cursed Hair to restrict her movements anymore.
So, with a casual tug, Roy withdrew the Cursed Hair back into his inventory, allowing Francesca to stand up.
Francesca snapped her fingers, and the red dress she had taken off automatically returned to her body.
For spirit bodies, as long as they had the thought, they could freely control the clothes they wore. These clothes were actually just a manifestation of their memories from when they were alive and weren't physically real.
Francesca's earlier action of taking off her clothes was just to tempt Roy.
"Now, can you tell me about Antonia Graza?"
Francesca nodded, looking at the violently shaking room.
"Yes, but this isn't the place to talk. Let's get out of here first!"
With that, Francesca grabbed Roy's hand. Roy quickly grabbed Sadako and Kayako too, and the one person and three ghosts instantly vanished from the shaking bedroom.
The next second, Roy and the others appeared in another bedroom.
The structure of this bedroom was similar to the previous one, but it didn't have that decaying feeling, and there was no seawater on the floor.
Instead, it was similar to what Roy had seen when he first entered the cabins of the Antonia Graza – messy and old, but without much dust.
Roy sent Sadako and Kayako back to the Cursed Daggers. Given the current situation, he could only ask the two enthusiastic ghost girls to do the cleaning job another time.
"Okay, tell me, what exactly is going on with this ship?"
Roy's action of branding Francesca wasn't just driven by lust; more importantly, he wanted to capture a ghost to understand the true situation of the Antonia Graza.
That motive accounted for at least 8 points. As for the motive of lust, well, that was naturally 92 points!
Yep, Roy was just that pure.
Francesca gritted her teeth and began recounting the events that happened more than a decade ago.
"That night, the Antonia Graza was sailing in the Pacific. There were songs and dances inside the cruise ship; a jewelry exhibition party was being held. Guests were dancing gracefully, while I was performing on stage."
Roy looked into Francesca's beautiful eyes. Her eyes seemed to have traveled back in time to that night more than ten years ago.
Just like the scene Roy had seen when he entered another space in the ballroom earlier, it was originally just a regular upper-class social dinner.
But no one expected that a group of cruel jewel thieves had already infiltrated this luxury cruise ship.
These jewel thieves disguised themselves as chefs, setting up traps while waiting for the Antonia Graza to enter international waters. They only started their operation on the night of the banquet.
At the dinner, the jewel thieves poisoned the food, killing half the people on the ship. The other half were easily cut in half at the waist by a special steel wire mechanism, like harvesting leeks, right in the ballroom.
(This part is actually quite outrageous, as such a powerful steel wire mechanism doesn't exist unless it moves extremely fast, but it's considered a famous scene! PS: Too bloody pictures can't be shown.)
The passengers who luckily survived were driven towards the swimming pool and executed by the jewel thieves with firearms. Only one young girl in a white dress was not killed.
However, death might have been a better outcome for the girl in the white dress. Those jewel thieves dragged her into a room and subjected her to inhumane torture.
The girl in the white dress eventually committed suicide in an impure manner.
After listening to Francesca's narration, Roy sharply noticed the significant point.
"So, what about you? What role did you play in this incident?"
Roy noticed that Francesca hadn't mentioned her own situation. Furthermore, if a girl in a white dress who looked like that could be tortured by the jewel thieves, how could they let go of such a beautiful Latin woman who was practically the most stunning of the group?
Surely, not all the jewel thieves were pedophiles, right?
Francesca was silent for a long time before answering Roy's question.
"I was also one of the jewel thieves, and even the leader's woman. I was responsible for scouting information for their operation and providing cover. Not only that, but I was actually serving another person, who was the true mastermind behind everything. After I instigated the jewel thief leader to kill his team members, I killed the leader myself. But I didn't expect that man to kill me too after achieving his goal!
How about it? Are you very disappointed in me after knowing all this?"
Is this like Russian nesting dolls? Roy was a bit speechless.
But if you were to say disappointed, there wasn't much.
Instead, the mastermind behind it piqued Roy's interest. This guy was truly a sigma male; he could even bring himself to kill Francesca.
Actually, Roy had sensed before that Francesca wasn't someone to be trifled with and likely had quite a few lives on her hands.
He just didn't expect this person to play such a significant role in the Antonia Graza tragedy, no wonder the red glow of sin on her was so dazzling.
After all, everyone on the ship indirectly or directly died at Francesca's hands.
Of course, compared to Sadako and Kayako, Francesca was clearly still a bit less... sinful.
"I've met many people more evil than you, like those two Japanese ghost girls you just saw. They've definitely killed more people than you have. Now, under my 'training', aren't they good ghosts too?"
After killing a large number of bad people, the sins on Sadako and Kayako had been completely purified, reaching the standard of "becoming a Buddha" in Japanese culture.
In other words, if Roy were to let Sadako and Kayako go, the two ghost girls could immediately ascend to heaven, but Sadako and Kayako preferred to stay by Roy's side.
Hearing the word 'training', Francesca's face visibly blushed.
"You, you're fundamentally a more evil existence than that man! No wonder I was controlled by you!"
Roy gave Francesca an annoyed look. He was a great benefactor! The merit he had accumulated was enough for him to be a strong contender for the new God if he went to heaven. How dare she call him evil?
"Tell me who that man is, and what this 'Antonia Graza' thing you mentioned is."
Francesca exhaled, a look of hatred surfacing on her face.
"That man called himself Jack, but I know it's just a fake name, so I prefer to call him the Hookman."
"The Hookman?"
Francesca nodded, then showed Roy her palm, where there was a hook mark.
Roy held Francesca's hand and changed this mark into his own mark.
"Keep talking."
"The Hookman planned everything, wanting to swallow all the wealth on the Antonia Graza, but he didn't expect that among the jewels displayed on the cruise ship that night, there was a cursed diamond called 'Eye of the Dead'."
Eye of the Dead? That sounds like it's part of a set with the Eye of Death.
"Legend has it that everyone who owns this cursed diamond will meet a tragic accidental death! And that night, the owner of the Eye of the Dead was showing his collection to the guests at the banquet. As a result, this person was cut in half by the Hookman's mechanism. After the Eye of the Dead fell to the ground, it was stained with a lot of blood and absorbed a large number of vengeful spirits, forming a powerful aggregate of evil spirits.
This powerful aggregate of evil spirits took 'Antonia Graza' as its name and turned the cruise ship into a ghost ship, enslaving all the souls on board, attracting passing ships everywhere, and killing everyone who boarded the cruise ship."
So that's what happened. In that case, after her death, Francesca should have been enslaved by Antonia Graza, which is why there was such a large spatial disturbance when Roy branded her earlier.
Antonia Graza must have realized its top subordinate was being snatched away, so it came out to investigate.
"What happened to that Hookman later?"
"That guy also possessed some occult abilities. After realizing things were bad, he abandoned the treasures and ran away. Over the years, this guy has always wanted to return to the ship to take the treasures. He has instigated salvagers several times to go aboard as scapegoats, but he has failed every time!"
As Francesca finished speaking, Roy had a pretty good understanding of the situation, but he still had one question.
"Francesca, you should know where that Hookman hid the treasures, right?"
Since he was already here, why leave empty-handed?
Francesca looked at Roy expressionlessly, a faint smile playing at the corner of her lips.
"You want to find those treasures too, don't you? Of course, who could refuse this huge fortune? However, the jewels are together with the cursed diamond. If you go looking for the jewels, you'll have to confront Antonia Graza directly."
There's such a good thing? It would be convenient to just deal with this guy along the way.
"Tell me the location of the treasures!"
Francesca crossed her arms and shook her head.
"I can tell you, but you must help me kill the Hookman first."
Roy couldn't help but roll his eyes. If Francesca hadn't said anything, as her master, Roy would have helped her get revenge anyway.
But for this guy to use this as a condition and try to manipulate him, that made Roy a bit unhappy.
"You don't seem to understand your place yet!"
Roy grabbed Francesca's hand. The mark on her palm and the brand on her back immediately became scorching hot, causing her to cry out in pain.
"Ah! I know I was wrong! I'll take you to find Antonia Graza!"
Roy only let go of Francesca after she begged for mercy. At this point, Francesca's spirit body had dimmed considerably.
"You need to understand one thing: I am your master now! If I happen to encounter that Hookman one day, as your master, I will definitely help you deal with that guy! But right now, I just need you to obey my orders!"
Francesca's expression was a bit miserable, but she still nodded, indicating that she understood what Roy meant.
Just then, a man's scream suddenly came from outside the bedroom. It sounded like Joey's voice.
Could something have happened to Joey?
Joey was the only mechanic on Roy's side; he couldn't have something happen to him, or it would be troublesome.
"Get into this revolver now. I'll take you out!"
Francesca quickly entered the M625 revolver. Then, Roy rushed out of the bedroom and ran towards the direction of Joey's scream.
Soon, Roy saw Joey screaming and running frantically, followed closely by a girl in a long white dress.
Hmm, wasn't that the white-dressed girl who liked to be nosy earlier? Did she become evil after being beaten with an Ansai Waist Drum by him?
The white-dressed girl had initially had a stern face, but upon seeing Roy approach, she was so scared that her face turned pale, and she immediately vanished.
When Joey saw Roy, he shouted frantically as if he had seen a savior.
"Mr. Black, save me! There's a ghost chasing me!"
"Save you from what? Look, is there still a ghost chasing you?"
Hearing this, Joey looked back and indeed didn't see the white-dressed girl who had just scared him. He couldn't help but be stunned.
"How could this happen? I was having a great time in the casino, winning big, and suddenly a white-dressed girl appeared and told me to stop gambling. I ignored her, and the white-dressed girl's facial features suddenly started shifting! It scared me so much I ran out!"
So, this is what Joey saw in the alternate dimension? It seems this Joey is a gambler.
"It's okay, that ghost must have run away after seeing me. Joey, have you seen anyone else?"
Joey looked confused.
"No, weren't they with you?"
"The ghost ship must have separated the five of us. Let's go find Heather and the others now. Francesca, lead the way!"
"Francesca? Who's Francesca?"
As soon as Joey finished speaking, Francesca emerged from Roy's revolver.
A woman suddenly appearing startled Joey, but then he was attracted by the beautiful Francesca and became completely mesmerized.
"Madam, you are truly beautiful!"
Roy looked at Joey speechlessly and slapped him on the back of the head.
"What are you doing? This is a female ghost I subdued, not a person!"
The slap woke Joey up, and he instantly shivered in fright.
"W-what? A female ghost? Mr. Black, don't scare me!"
"Is there a point in scaring you? Let's go! Francesca, take us back to the ballroom first!"
The ballroom was where Roy and the others had separated. Heather and the others would likely be waiting for Roy in the ballroom.
Joey, who was trailing behind, started to hesitate.
"If a female ghost can look like this, maybe it's not so bad..."
Looking up, Joey found that Roy had already gone far, so scared, he sprinted to catch up.
"Mr. Black, wait for me!"
Chapter 295: Your Dad is Still Your Dad
Inside the banquet hall, Heather, Serena, and Cui Lin, just as Roy had said, didn't run around but stayed to wait for him.
However, plans never keep up with changes. Not long after the three girls waited in the banquet hall, the corpses on the ground started to stand up.
"What's going on?"
Heather frowned and began to clear out the corpses, but even when knocked down, these skeletons would reassemble and stand back up, leaving her exhausted from the effort.
Serena and Cui Lin were just ordinary people, completely defenseless against the constantly appearing undead.
Moreover, the number of undead continued to increase. Heather was alone, and fighting in an open area like the banquet hall was a huge disadvantage.
So, the three girls were forced to retreat to the much narrower corridor, fighting as they went, just to barely hold back the undead's offensive.
Finally, Heather and the others retreated to the lower deck of the cruise ship. There was a huge swimming pool there, but it had long been dry, the bottom piled high with countless corpses.
These corpses also began to stand up after Heather and the others arrived.
The three girls could only keep running.
"Damn it! I wish I'd learned how to use a gun with Roy!"
Heather's expression was terrible. She had only learned some fighting techniques from Roy before, and was still completely clueless about firearms, so she hadn't brought a gun.
In the situation just now, if Heather had a gun in her hand, even just a pistol, things would have been much better.
Unfortunately, there's no going back. Heather could only secretly decide that after returning, she must learn how to use a gun.
Heather and the others fought and retreated the whole way, ending up deeper and deeper until they unknowingly arrived at a place that looked like a treasure vault.
As soon as they entered this room, Cui Lin's eyes went wide. The room was filled with piles of gold bars and jewels, emitting a dazzling light.
"So beautiful!"
Among them, at the top of the pile of jewels was a massive black diamond, emitting a special magic that drew Cui Lin towards it.
"Cui Lin, what are you doing!"
Heather and Serena weren't tempted by the treasure. They were both people who weren't short on money and didn't place such importance on wealth.
But the tempted Cui Lin became strangely strong, and even Heather couldn't hold her back for a moment, allowing her to pick up the massive black diamond from the pile of treasure.
Then, Cui Lin lowered her head.
Heather, holding Cui Lin's wrist, vaguely felt something was wrong and asked her in an uncertain tone.
"Cui Lin, are you okay?"
Cui Lin, with her head down, replied to Heather in a voice that was hard to distinguish as male or female.
"Hehehe, I feel great, absolutely wonderful!"
Something's not right!
Heather immediately let go of Cui Lin's hand and pulled Serena back.
Serena hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation yet and asked Heather curiously.
"Why did Cui Lin's voice become so strange?"
"She's possessed by something!"
Heather's expression was grim. After all, having gone through so many events with Roy, she had some understanding of supernatural occurrences.
Although she knew the situation, Heather had no solution. While the Ghost Wolf was a hybrid of werewolf and vampire, its abilities were purely physical, lacking other supernatural powers.
This made dealing with more unusual dark creatures, such as ghosts or other incorporeal enemies, quite troublesome.
At this moment, the corpses that had risen from the swimming pool were slowly moving towards the treasure vault. Their speed wasn't actually very fast, which was why Heather and the others were able to escape here.
If they were to leave the treasure vault immediately, Heather and Serena could still escape before the undead surrounded them. However, Cui Lin's condition was very strange, and Heather was momentarily unsure how to choose.
Cui Lin turned around, her beautiful face covered in dense black lines, and her eyes were now just whites. These were typical signs of being possessed by an evil spirit.
"Are you leaving? Why don't you stay?"
Cui Lin reached out towards Heather and Serena.
"Quick, go!"
Heather no longer hesitated. She immediately pulled Serena and ran out, knocking down the blocking undead with a few punches and kicks.
"Stay! Stay! Stay!"
Heather and Serena felt as though countless people were speaking in their ears. There were men and women, old and young, but they were all saying the same thing.
"So noisy!"
Serena couldn't bear it and covered her ears.
"Serena, don't stop, run!"
Heather still needed to fight, so she could only force herself to endure the maddening sounds.
The two of them finally managed to rush out of the treasure vault. Cui Lin, standing by the treasure, didn't chase after them, just stood there emitting an evil laugh and mumbling incessantly.
"You can't escape! No one can leave the Antonia Grassa!"
Heather and Serena fought their way out and soon arrived back at the indoor swimming pool.
While running alongside the pool, Serena was suddenly grabbed by the ankle by a hand reaching up from the pool.
"Heather, help..."
Before she could finish speaking, Serena was pulled into the swimming pool.
Heather turned back to try and grab Serena but found that there was no one in the swimming pool at all.
"Serena, where are you!"
This situation was very similar to when they had first split up. Heather suspected that Serena had entered another dimension again.
Just as Heather was feeling extremely anxious, a force attacked from behind.
Heather, possessing the Ghost Wolf bloodline, reacted incredibly fast, sidestepping the sneak attack from behind, but a pair of hands reached out from the swimming pool again and grabbed her ankles.
Heather was not Serena, after all. Even with two hands grabbing her ankles simultaneously, she maintained her balance and didn't fall.
But more and more undead swarmed towards Heather. With her ankles grabbed, Heather couldn't move and could only stand still to resist the undead.
Finally, two fists were no match for four hands, and Heather was pushed into the swimming pool by countless undead.
With a splash, the expected pain didn't come. Instead, it felt like falling into water.
Heather subconsciously held her breath and found herself seemingly dropped into a dark ocean. She tried to swim upwards, hoping to reach the surface.
However, Heather swam for a long time but couldn't reach the surface.
Although Heather's lung capacity far exceeded that of an ordinary person, her breath-holding time still had a limit.
After swimming for over ten minutes, Heather felt like she was about to suffocate.
Is this how it ends?
Heather's vision grew darker and narrower.
Finally, Heather ran out of strength, and she began to sink slowly.
Vaguely, Heather seemed to see a hand shining with white light grab her.
"Heather, are you okay?"
Roy's voice gradually brought Heather back to consciousness. It turned out that the hand emitting white light was his.
With the help of the insider, Francesca, Roy entered the alternate dimension and forcibly pulled Heather out.
Serena was also nearby. She seemed to have been dragged into the underwater world like Heather and was lying on the ground unconscious.
Heather took a few rapid breaths. For the first time, she felt how wonderful air was. She had almost suffocated.
"I, I'm okay! How is Serena?"
"She passed out. The space you entered didn't actually have seawater. It was a sensory deception, making you think you were suffocating. Heather, did you see Cui Lin?"
Heather looked up and noticed Joey standing beside Roy. Not far away, two women in white dresses and one in a red dress were harvesting undead.
Heather recognized the two women in white dresses; she had seen Sadako and Kayako before. But she hadn't seen the woman in the red dress.
Could it be a new female ghost Roy caught on the ship?
"Cui Lin picked up a black diamond in a treasure vault and then was possessed by something!"
A black diamond?
Hearing this keyword, Roy immediately thought of the cursed diamond that Francesca had mentioned before.
"Where is the treasure vault? Quick, take me there!"
Heather nodded and stood up, holding Roy's hand.
Although Roy said the seawater in that alternate dimension was all an illusion, Heather's reaction after suffocating was very real, so much so that she hadn't fully recovered even now.
Returning to the treasure vault, Heather saw Cui Lin sitting on a throne made of gold bars like a queen, still holding the massive black diamond in her hand.
"I knew you would come back. What's so bad about this place? Why would you want to leave?"
Cui Lin's face was full of intoxication, and her eyes were filled with greed, making Roy wonder if she was truly possessed or just speaking her mind.
"Francesca, what's going on?"
Roy looked at the woman in the red dress beside him. She was a local and should know more about the situation.
"Antonia Grassa is an aggregate of thousands of evil spirits. After they merged, they became very chaotic, and their thoughts became very simple and direct, only responding to external information in a basic way."
As soon as Francesca explained, Roy understood.
This situation was probably like a collection of souls, each with different thoughts, causing the soul aggregate to be unable to process them and thus becoming very sluggish.
The state Cui Lin was in now was likely because Antonia Grassa had just possessed her and hadn't yet been able to merge with Cui Lin's soul. Its own thought process was slow, so it was being dominated by Cui Lin's thoughts.
However, due to Antonia Grassa, the evil thoughts in Cui Lin's heart were magnified, leading to her current state.
"Good. Antonia Grassa probably hasn't had time to devour Cui Lin's soul. We just need to drive it out of Cui Lin's body."
Just as Francesca was about to ask Roy how he planned to drive out a soul aggregate that had merged with thousands of vengeful spirits from Cui Lin's body, she saw Sadako and Kayako return to the Cursed Twin Daggers as if they were fleeing a disaster.
Then, six light wings sprouted from Roy's back.
"Ah—"
Just the power of holy light shining on Francesca's spirit body caused her unbearable pain. This natural restraint was especially evident for evil spirits.
Because evil spirits have no physical body to block the holy light, the light can directly burn their souls.
"Sorry, I forgot to tell you to go back into the revolver. Come on in!"
Francesca really wanted to ask Roy how he could be an angel, but the power of the holy light was truly unbearable. She could only dive into the revolver first and ask Roy this question later.
The holy light also caused great damage to Cui Lin. Black gas was steaming from her body; that was Antonia Grassa's怨氣 (resentment/grievance).
However, under the protection of Cui Lin's body, much of the holy light's damage was blocked.
"Angel! Damned angel! I'll tear you to shreds!"
Cui Lin was incredibly arrogant now, actually trying to go head-to-head with Roy in his angel form.
Roy smirked and raised his hand, aiming at Cui Lin.
"Cui Lin, you need to know that your dad is still your dad! Don't think you can win against me just because you're controlling Antonia Grassa's power!"
These words seemed to make Cui Lin recall some unpleasant memories. Her expression softened slightly, but soon her face was once again filled with arrogance.
"Even if you're an angel, don't think you can defeat me here! Go to hell!"
Just then, a burst of black gas emerged from Cui Lin's body, quickly engulfing the entire treasure vault.
In the blink of an eye, Roy found himself floating on the sea, with a massive cruise ship crashing towards him.
To be honest, this scene was quite shocking.
Roy's size floating in front of the cruise ship was like a person standing in front of a mountain. How terrifying is it to have a mountain crashing towards you?
However, Roy knew that this was all an evil spirit space created by Antonia Grassa using the power of souls after merging with countless vengeful spirits.
In this situation, other than having the insider Francesca take him away, he could only go head-to-head with Antonia Grassa.
Head-to-head it is!
I even defeated the King of Wrath, why would I be afraid of a mere aggregate of vengeful spirits?
Light wings, spread!
The light wings behind Roy became more radiant and enormous. The effect was that his entire body was enveloped in holy light, dazzling like a small sun, and he met the charging Antonia Grassa head-on.
Boom!
A violent collision like Mars hitting Earth!
The evil spirit space couldn't withstand such a terrifying impact and collapsed on the spot!
The result was that Roy stood firm, radiating a dazzling light, while Antonia Grassa was directly knocked out of Cui Lin's body.
After the soul aggregate left her body, Cui Lin's body went limp and fell directly to the ground. The Cursed Diamond, Eye of the Dead, in her hand also rolled away.
"This is impossible! Ah!"
The soul aggregate was a mass resembling grey mist. You could see many different faces rolling and twisting within this misty weapon.
But after losing Cui Lin's body, the holy light's damage to Antonia Grassa greatly increased. It could be seen dissolving at a visible speed.
Antonia Grassa used to rule the seas and hadn't seen much of the world. Even when encountering Roy, a six-winged angel, it was still extremely arrogant and, under Cui Lin's influence, even wanted to defy heaven and kill Roy.
Now, after taking a punch, Antonia Grassa finally sobered up. At this moment, it just wanted to get away from Roy and hide.
So, the thing directly drilled into a vent and escaped.
"Want to run? Dream on!"
Francesca (Francesca Rettondini, this Italian actress has very few works, so it's hard to find pictures).
Chapter 296: Pointy-Headed
"Heather, you keep an eye on Trey and Serena. I'll go after that thing!"
Roy threw the Cursed Daggers to Heather.
With those daggers, Heather could handle most undead creatures too.
Immediately after, Roy began activating his Hound Ring, preparing to track Antonia Graza.
Just then, Francesca, enduring the damage from the holy light, emerged from the Smith & Wesson M629 to remind Roy.
"Roy, take that cursed diamond with you! That's the core of the vengeful spirit aggregate; it can't stay away from that thing for too long!"
It was a good thing Francesca reminded him, or Roy would have overlooked this.
Maybe Antonia Graza's goal was to lure Roy away so it could come back and reclaim the cursed diamond.
"Got it, get back in the gun!"
The illusory figure of the Hellhound showed that Antonia Graza was constantly moving through various pipes, trying to evade Roy's tracking. There were some places Roy's body simply couldn't fit into.
This forced Roy to revert to his human form, otherwise, maintaining his angel form all the time was too wasteful of Chaos Energy.
Left with no choice, Roy could only summon Francesca again to ask.
"Damn it! Why is this thing constantly running? Francesca, do you have any way to deal with it?"
Francesca looked at Roy with a strange expression.
"Roy, can you tell me why you're an angel first?"
Francesca had wanted to ask this question before. It was also because she saw that Roy was an angel that she chose to warn him in the treasure room.
Otherwise, given Francesca's attitude towards Roy before, she definitely wouldn't have spoken up on her own.
"That question? Actually, I was born with both angel and demon bloodlines. I'm a Nephilim, a combination of both."
Roy didn't hide his identity but didn't reveal where the angel and demon blood came from. After all, he couldn't exactly say he had beaten up an Archangel, could he?
Nobody would believe that anyway.
Hearing this, Francesca's expression became distant.
"So that's how it is. Can angels and demons really combine? Roy, do you think I can go to heaven in the future?"
Roy raised an eyebrow. Had Francesca gotten scared after seeing an angel?
Afraid that she would end up in hell one day?
Indeed, Francesca's actions were certainly enough to qualify her for hell, so it was understandable that she felt fear.
Many people act without fear and dare to do all sorts of bad things largely because they lack faith.
Faith here doesn't just refer to religion; it also means having principles in life.
Therefore, good religions generally encourage people to do good, making them have a sense of reverence in their hearts so they won't do anything out of line.
"Why necessarily go to heaven? I once heard a certain angel say that heaven is extremely boring. Hundreds of years might pass without a single interesting thing happening."
The angel who said this was Adrian (Raphael).
Raphael could be considered an anomaly among angels. Most angels were serious and dull like Michael and Uriel; only he had a free-spirited and casual personality.
At the end of the Silent Hill incident, Elise mentioned that Raphael was always late.
This time, Raphael also found a good excuse and descended to the human world on his own initiative.
That's right, Raphael didn't descend through a church ritual but on his own accord. In order to descend to the human world and have fun as quickly as possible, he even randomly picked a human host to possess.
Adrian was neither a priest nor a demon hunter; he was just a playboy from a wealthy family.
From this, you can see how outrageous Raphael was.
It also shows how truly boring heaven must be, it was almost driving Raphael crazy.
Francesca looked at Roy, dumbfounded.
"Are you serious?"
"Of course, I'm serious! You might as well stay on Earth and live a good life. Maybe one day I can help you reshape a body."
Existing as a soul was indeed quite painful. They practically lost all sensory abilities, couldn't do anything most of the time, and yet couldn't sleep or rest, only repeating the same things day after day.
This is why many ghosts who linger in the human world eventually become evil spirits; they've basically gone insane.
The reason Sadako and Kayako were able to become more and more normal was that Roy constantly injected them with positive energy. With something to look forward to in life, they naturally wouldn't go crazy.
After a long pause, Francesca showed a relieved smile.
"Thank you, Roy."
This was the first time Francesca called Roy by his name, which meant she had truly accepted Roy in her heart.
"Live a good life, don't overthink things, and things will definitely get better and better!"
Francesca hugged Roy and gave him a deep kiss.
"I will."
But Roy only tasted lightly. After all, there were still things to do right now, and he couldn't delay the main task.
Afterward, Francesca began explaining possible ways to deal with Antonia Graza.
"One way is to directly destroy this cruise ship. This cruise ship is essentially Antonia Graza's body. If the ship can be dismantled, it will lose the place it relies on to survive and will have nowhere to hide."
"That's too troublesome. Are there any other ways?"
Roy waved his hand. His strength was indeed very high, but his abilities were mostly focused on single-target damage, primarily against living beings.
Dealing with a cruise ship, he didn't really have a good way. He couldn't just use the Executioner's Blade to dismantle it piece by piece, could he? How long would that take?
"Then we can only focus on the Eye of the Dead. If the cruise ship is Antonia Graza's body, then the Eye of the Dead is effectively its heart."
"According to you, we're currently running around inside Antonia Graza's belly?"
Roy picked up the Eye of the Dead and examined it with a strange expression.
Even in the dark, this gemstone emitted a faint, magnificent glow. Not to mention Trey, the thief, looking at it with greedy eyes, even Roy, a man, felt somewhat reluctant to put it down.
"Are you saying we should destroy this diamond?"
"I'm not sure about that."
Roy rubbed his chin and thought for a moment. He felt it would be a shame to just destroy it. He could sense that this cursed diamond was not only valuable but also possessed extraordinary magical power, possibly a natural magical item.
If such a good thing were destroyed, it would be impossible to find another one.
"Let me use this thing as bait to lure Antonia Graza over."
Saying that, Roy took out his blood from his inventory.
Because drawing his own blood was becoming increasingly difficult, Roy would prepare his blood in advance for emergencies.
Mixing his blood with various materials, Roy began drawing a magic circle on the ground.
Francesca watched Roy's actions curiously. She was becoming more and more intrigued by Roy, feeling that he was full of countless mysteries.
Every time Francesca felt she knew what kind of person Roy was, Roy would always bring out something new.
"Done drawing! Now all we have to do is wait!"
Roy placed the cursed diamond in the center of the magic circle, then stepped back a few steps.
"Ah? That's it?"
Francesca watched, somewhat dazed. When she came back to her senses, she heard that Roy had already finished drawing the magic circle.
It was like being in a calculus class. At first, the teacher was just explaining some simple formulas on the blackboard, then you spaced out for a while, and when you snapped back, the blackboard was covered with densely packed content.
"Quick, hide with me!"
Roy pulled Francesca into the shadow in the corner and put on his ghost face mask.
"Roy, are you sure Antonia Graza won't find us?"
Francesca was constantly fidgeting in Roy's arms. Roy had no choice but to pinch her 'airbags' and motion for silence.
"Shh! As long as you don't talk or move around, that guy won't find us!"
Hearing this, Francesca obediently stopped moving around. After they remained still for a while, they gradually merged into the shadows.
Francesca watched, surprised, as her body became transparent and dark, like a true shadow. This change almost made her cry out, but thankfully, she remembered Roy's instruction and controlled herself.
Antonia Graza continuously traveled through various pipes. This luxury cruise ship had a vast network of pipes, although some might not smell very pleasant.
Suddenly, Antonia Graza realized it couldn't sense Roy's presence anymore, which made it stop its high-speed movement.
How could it suddenly disappear?
Antonia Graza tried to think, but the result of thousands of vengeful spirits thinking together was even more chaos.
One moment it thought about continuing to run, the next it thought about going back to check, another moment it thought about not going anywhere, the smell here was quite good...
cough cough! Maybe an 'Old Eight' got mixed in with the vengeful spirits.
After intense ideological clashes within Antonia Graza's body, one consciousness finally gained the upper hand and became the temporary leader.
"I'm going to get my gemstone back, and then I'll settle the score with that bitch!"
Saying that, Antonia Graza changed direction and moved towards the location where Roy had placed the Eye of the Dead.
Not long after, a gray figure appeared sneakily.
The place where Roy put the Eye of the Dead was actually a boiler room. The environment here was relatively complex with many large machines, so Antonia Graza was extremely cautious.
However, after sensing for a long time, Antonia Graza still didn't detect any other life forms in the room.
So, Antonia Graza came before the Eye of the Dead.
The Eye of the Dead flashed with a magnificent streak of light, making Antonia Graza really want to pick it back up, but the strange patterns around the black diamond made it hesitant and afraid to step into them.
Although it didn't understand the occult, the weird patterns clearly didn't look like anything good.
Antonia Graza fell into indecision.
It could only be said that being trapped at sea for so many years, this aggregate of vengeful spirits lacked too much knowledge.
This is also why evil spirits formed by wizards are the hardest to deal with, because they are truly knowledgeable and understand a lot about the occult.
Ultimately, the idea of retrieving the Eye of the Dead still dominated the vengeful spirits. However, Antonia Graza played a trick, trying to retrieve the Eye of the Dead using telekinesis.
This action directly triggered the magic circle on the ground.
Seven pitch-black chains extended from the magic circle and quickly flew towards Antonia Graza.
This thing reacted very quickly, turning into a gray mist again and escaping, but the pitch-black chains followed closely, and their movement speed was even faster than the gray mist's flying speed.
"How could this happen!"
Antonia Graza was horrified to find itself being pulled by the pitch-black chains. These chains were so strong that even spirit bodies couldn't escape them. It was just being pulled towards the magic circle.
Of course, Antonia Graza was ultimately a combination of thousands of vengeful spirits. In terms of soul magnitude, it was still very terrifying.
The anti-theft magic circle temporarily set up by Roy using ancient wizard methods couldn't completely trap Antonia Graza, but restraining it for a period was enough.
Fear Domain activate!
Thousands of vengeful spirits within Antonia Graza's body simultaneously fell into fear. This was like a pot boiling over, even causing the thing's soul body to become extremely unstable.
Afterward, Roy walked out of the shadows holding Francesca and came before the constantly twisting and deforming Antonia Graza.
"Why is this guy's head so pointy that it falls for any kind of trap? Francesca, go back into the revolver. I'm going to start purifying this thing."
Francesca shook her head, her expression somewhat strange.
"I want to watch this thing be purified."
"Then you'd better stand back so you don't get caught by my holy light."
Francesca hid at a considerable distance, watching Roy enter his angel form once again.
Light Wings, spread!
Roy stood on three halos: Courage, Protection, and Vitality. Among them, the Protection halo was specifically against dark creatures.
Under the combined effect of the Protection halo and the holy light, Antonia Graza's surface instantly ignited with white sacred flames.
The pain on the soul allowed a part of the vengeful spirits within Antonia Graza's body to escape the control of the Fear halo, restoring a small amount of its thought process.
Then, to Roy's surprise, this thing didn't attack him immediately, but instead looked at Francesca in the distance and started cursing.
"Francesca, you slut, you betrayed me again!"
Francesca explained to Roy expressionlessly.
"The one currently dominating Antonia Graza's soul is the leader of the jewel thieves from back then, the one I once betrayed."
Roy showed an expression of sudden realization. No wonder Francesca wanted to watch the process of him purifying Antonia Graza.
Knowing the truth, Roy no longer hesitated and turned the power of the holy light up to maximum.
Under the effects of the holy light and the Protection halo, Antonia Graza, this aggregate of vengeful spirits, finally couldn't maintain itself any longer and exploded on the spot.
