Chapter 984: An Unexpected Success
🕑 Added 2025-07-24 17:08:01 +0000 UTCWith a flicker of thought, Seimei’s mental energy reached into the dimensional space at his brow.
He could see that the space was now completely filled, every inch brimming with liquefied chakra.
Back when he’d mastered the “All-Encompassing Seal” and expanded the chakra storage in his brow’s dimensional space to fifty million points, he’d been quietly thrilled, thinking he wouldn’t have to worry about chakra storage for a long time.
But reality proved he’d underestimated his own growth.
Now, with ample energy, he could naturally recover 6.82 million chakra points per day.
On top of that, the Seven-Tails provided him with one million chakra points daily, and the Four-Tails gave 1.5 million.
Add in the 1.5 million from Danzō’s “Impure World Reincarnation” body, and that totaled 10.82 million chakra points.
Normally, he’d consume most of this chakra.
But ever since he slowed the evolution of his Sharingan and shifted his focus to training the “Body of Extremes” to boost his Byakugan’s development, his daily chakra consumption had dropped significantly.
As a result, the chakra he accumulated each day had skyrocketed.
Roughly estimated, he was banking around 4.15 million chakra points daily.
That meant 41.5 million in ten days.
His brow’s dimensional space could hold a maximum of fifty million chakra points, so in less than two weeks, the accumulated chakra would completely fill it.
As it happened, today was pretty much the limit.
That’s why he was feeling a bit uneasy.
If this kept up, he’d end up wasting the excess chakra.
That was something Seimei absolutely couldn’t accept.
After some thought, he raised his hands and formed seals, casting the “Wood Clone Technique.”
A wriggle stirred at his shoulder.
The next moment, a wooden clone split off from his body, taking human form the instant it hit the ground.
Seimei nodded at it, then formed more seals, casting “All-Encompassing Seal” on the clone.
This time, he went all out, unlike the other wood clones he’d left out in the field, which had dimensional spaces that could only store one or two million chakra points.
This time, he carefully sensed the new space he’d created.
It could hold over twenty million chakra points.
He planned to transfer some of his chakra into this wood clone.
That would significantly ease his burden.
Of course, moving chakra back and forth would inevitably cause some loss.
In the worst case, if the wood clone was destroyed, all that chakra would go down the drain.
No doubt, the risk was pretty high.
But even so, Seimei had to do it.
As the saying goes, choose the lesser of two evils.
If he didn’t do this, he’d be wasting 4.15 million chakra points every day. But if he hid the wood clone well, he wouldn’t have to worry about worst-case scenarios.
So, using the wood clone was the best option.
With that in mind, Seimei placed both hands on the clone’s shoulders.
The next moment, he began channeling chakra from his brow’s dimensional space, transferring a massive amount into the clone.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Soon, twenty million chakra points had been transferred.
Seimei didn’t push it to the absolute limit. Though he felt he could probably squeeze in another two or three million points with effort, he decided to play it safe.
Pulling his hands back, he noticed the wood clone still standing stiffly in place and asked with a hint of concern, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” the clone replied after a brief silence, shaking its head. “It’s just… the pressure’s a bit much. I probably can’t fight alongside you.”
“Can’t fight, huh…”
Seimei was momentarily taken aback, then chuckled. “I thought it was something serious. If you can’t fight, you can’t fight. Just go into hibernation for now.”
“Alright!”
The wood clone had no objections to Seimei’s plan. It shrugged and headed toward a wooden cabin in a corner of the island.
But instead of entering the cabin to rest, it merged directly into the cabin itself.
The cabin had been created by Seimei using Wood Release, making it a perfect fit for the clone to blend into.
This way, it stayed right under Seimei’s nose, ensuring its safety, while also serving as a nighttime guard—a win-win.
Watching from a distance, Seimei nodded.
Then, he turned his gaze away, kept his Byakugan active, and immediately began training the “Body of Extremes.”
Two hours passed in a flash.
It was now late at night.
Feeling his body had reached its limit, Seimei stopped training, checked his progress for the day, and returned to the cabin to rest.
For the next stretch of time, Seimei’s days were packed with training, always either practicing or on his way to practice.
For some reason, the village hadn’t assigned him any missions.
Seimei was fine with that.
He didn’t bother questioning it and just focused on his training.
As for Obito Uchiha’s instruction to keep tabs on Kushina Uzumaki?
He didn’t bother with that either.
For one, he already knew roughly when Kushina would give birth, so there was no need to waste time on her. Plus, in this sensitive period, he wasn’t about to stir up trouble for himself.
And so, half a month passed in training.
Half a month later.
As Seimei returned to the island as usual, recalling his scattered shadow clones and absorbing their training experiences from the past hour, something unexpected happened.
In the clearing at the center of Moon Island, Seimei suddenly opened his eyes, his pupils gleaming with excitement.
Without hesitation, he extended both hands, conjuring a ball of Water Release chakra in his left palm and Lightning Release chakra in his right.
Focusing intently on the two chakra masses, he followed a faint instinct, adjusting their nature transformations to a precise, harmonious state.
The next moment, he clapped his hands together, merging the two chakra masses.
Instantly, a dazzling blue-white light flared in his palms.
“Go!”
With a low shout, Seimei parted his hands, and a beam of light shot out.
At a thought, the beam seemed to bend under his control, veering sharply to hit a large tree to his left.
“It worked!”
Seimei’s voice rang with joy.
That beam wasn’t just anything—it was the physical manifestation of Storm Release chakra.
That’s right, Storm Release.
Just moments ago, he’d successfully fused Water Release and Lightning Release, creating Storm Release.
Originally, he’d estimated it would take at least another half month to achieve this fusion.
But this time, seizing a sudden spark of inspiration, he’d unexpectedly created Storm Release. How could he not be thrilled?
Buzzing with excitement, Seimei immediately wanted to test it again.
But this time, he failed. The Water Release and Lightning Release chakra in his palms not only failed to merge smoothly but exploded instead.
Using the “Flying Thunder God Technique,” Seimei vanished and reappeared, dodging the blast.
Standing in place, reflecting on what had just happened, he shook his head, chiding himself for being too hasty.
Just like when he’d successfully developed Wood Release, Lava Release, and Ice Release, this success was merely a burst of inspiration. It didn’t mean he’d truly mastered Storm Release.
If he was right, he’d only just imprinted Storm Release onto his skill panel. Actually mastering it would take more time.
With that thought, Seimei opened his proficiency panel.
As expected, a new entry had appeared under the Bloodline section—Storm Release (1/100)!
Closing the panel, Seimei paused his other skill training and began focusing entirely on fusing Water Release and Lightning Release, slowly pushing up Storm Release’s proficiency, aiming to fully master it in the shortest time possible.
