"Daddy!"
Ailu Lei Sha looked towards the direction of the gunshot with surprise and joy. Her sense of smell was incredibly sharp, and she had already picked up Roy's scent from far away.
At that moment, Roy was using his revolver to deal with the giant spiders on the outskirts. He hadn't expected that in such a short time, spiders the size of basketballs had already grown to be as big as a person.
Then again, it was also possible that the basketball-sized spider from before was just a lost juvenile, and these were the mature giant spiders.
"Daddy, help me!"
Ailu Lei Sha yelled in Roy's direction, instantly letting him know her location. So, Roy went full throttle, unleashing a barrage to slaughter the surrounding giant spiders.
The Spider with a Human Face's expression changed, and it let out a loud hiss towards the giant spiders around it.
"Stop that man! Immediately bring her back to the nest!"
After giving the order, the Spider with a Human Face immediately ran towards the nest. Its current size made it completely unable to fight; it was just a sitting duck.
Several giant spiders immediately shot white webs at Ailu Lei Sha, wrapping her up.
"Ugh! Daddy, help! Ugh!"
When Roy heard Ailu Lei Sha's cry for help, something didn't sound right, and he immediately knew she was in trouble.
He transformed directly into his demon form and then used his demon wings to fly up.
The current Roy was no longer the newbie flyer he was when he first obtained his angel form. He could control his wings to fly with ease.
Soon, Roy spotted Ailu Lei Sha, who was wrapped in a ball of spider silk and being carried away by a giant spider.
"Ailu Lei Sha!"
The giant spiders on the ground tried to intercept Roy in the air by spitting webs, but these webs were just fuel in the face of the Hellfire Chainsaw Greatsword.
Flying high, then crashing down!
Roy's weight after transforming, combined with his powerful strength attribute of 46, created a shockwave upon landing that instantly flipped all the surrounding giant spiders over.
Ailu Lei Sha was also thrown into the air as a result, but she didn't seem scared at all. Instead, she kept letting out happy giggles.
"Hehehe... That was fun!"
Is this a roller coaster to you?
Roy caught Ailu Lei Sha with one hand. After transforming into his demon form, his size increased, making his palm larger, which was why he could catch her with just one hand.
Of course, it was also because Ailu Lei Sha's body was slender enough; the phrase "a waist that could be encircled by a single hand" perfectly described her.
Seeing Ailu Lei Sha being taken away, the giant spiders immediately swarmed Roy like crazy.
However, no matter how relentlessly these giant spiders charged, they were just cannon fodder. Their bodies couldn't even withstand modern weapons, so how could they possibly be a match for the Hellfire Chainsaw Sword?
Roy, holding Ailu Lei Sha, unleashed a flurry of wild sword swings, each strike blazing with hellfire.
The giant spiders finally lost their morale and scattered in all directions, leaving behind a ground full of roasted, hairy, soft-shelled land crabs.
Hmm? Smells pretty good!
At this moment, Roy returned to his human form and then tore off the spider silk from Ailu Lei Sha.
Having regained her freedom, Ailu Lei Sha immediately jumped into Roy's arms, wiggling around.
"Daddy, that was so much fun! I want to play again!"
Roy looked at Ailu Lei Sha with a wicked smile.
"Fun, huh?"
Although Ailu Lei Sha currently only had the intelligence of a five or six-year-old, she was very sensitive to people's emotions. Right now, she sensed that Roy was angry.
Just as she was about to jump down from Roy, Ailu Lei Sha was held down by Roy's other hand, and then she received a good old-fashioned spanking.
"Ouch! Daddy, that hurts! Waaah..."
Ailu Lei Sha cried miserably, but Roy didn't care. He kept hitting her until her butt turned the color of a baboon's butt before letting her go.
"Do you know what you did wrong?"
Ailu Lei Sha wiped away her tears, a strange blush on her face.
"Waaah, I know I was wrong, Daddy!"
"Then what exactly did you do wrong?"
Ailu Lei Sha sniffled and answered Roy.
"Waaah! I should have, stayed乖乖 (guai guai - obediently) in the hotel and waited for Daddy to come back to eat my baby milkshake!"
Huh, why does that sound so weird?
Three black lines appeared on Roy's forehead.
"Then why did you take it upon yourself to leave the hotel and come here?"
"What do you mean 'take it upon myself'?"
Ailu Lei Sha suddenly looked curious, and the tears on her face vanished instantly.
Roy raised an eyebrow, suddenly feeling like the little succubus was faking her tears.
"Just answer me directly why you came to the swamp!"
Ailu Lei Sha answered Roy while looking at her fingers.
"After going back to the hotel with Daddy, I felt like there was a voice calling me. Then, I wanted to see who was calling me, and I ended up walking all the way here."
Something like that happened?
Roy frowned deeply.
"Tell me immediately if something similar happens in the future, understand?"
"Okay, Daddy!"
Ailu Lei Sha looked very well-behaved, but Roy could already see a hint of slyness in her little eyes.
It's only been a few days, and she's already like this?
Shaking his head, Roy continued to ask about the thing he found most strange.
"Did you see the person who summoned you?"
Ailu Lei Sha nodded and then started gesturing with her hands.
"I saw a really, really big spider! It called me its sister, but I don't know it at all! Then it said some other things that I couldn't understand, and it even said something about wanting my body? I got a little scared, so I started running away..."
A really, really big spider, could it be that super big spider I saw before?
Roy frowned, starting to think about what Ailu Lei Sha had said.
After the Cosmic Heavenly Demon incident, Roy had already guessed which movie Ailu Lei Sha came from. After all, Roy had watched that movie in his previous life, and it had quite an impact on him when he saw it.
Relying on his memory attribute of 38, Roy began to recall some details of the movie.
Although the movie's plot seemed to have quite a few differences from this world, at least Roy remembered that in the original movie, it definitely had nothing to do with the King of Lust.
However, some plot points might not have changed.
For example, in the movie, Ailu Lei Sha should have been discovered along with two other men, but Gerald hadn't mentioned this to Roy.
Roy suspected that those two unlucky male succubi might have been killed by the FEA, just like in the movie.
Then, one of their bodies was obtained by Amacham, and Amacham started researching the female succubus's body, which led to this Eight-Legged Freak incident?
After thinking it through, Roy felt that this possibility was quite high.
Another possibility was that Amacham also dabbled in the occult and accidentally summoned Ailu Lei Sha's brother.
But the chances of that happening felt no greater than winning the lottery in Tokyo.
It's better to verify!
Roy grabbed Ailu Lei Sha's hand.
"Let's go, I'll take you to get revenge on that guy!"
Ailu Lei Sha looked at Roy with her big, blinking eyes.
"Daddy, for real?"
"Of course, only I'm allowed to bully you, no one else! Let's go!"
Ailu Lei Sha happily hugged Roy's arm and started shaking it.
"Let go! I can't walk like this!"
Back in the nest, the Spider with a Human Face was furious, letting out a sharp screech.
"Useless! All of you are useless! You can't even handle this little thing, what good are you?!"
Actually, the giant spiders were also quite aggrieved. They were basically just a variation of wolf spiders, with longer hair on their bodies.
As the saying goes, the more hair, the weaker to fire.
Giant spiders were naturally countered by hellfire, not to mention that after Roy transformed into a demon, his size and weapons greatly increased, making him terrifying in group battles.
The Spider with a Human Face had run fast, so it hadn't seen what happened afterward, which was why it thought its children were useless.
If only the giant spiders could talk, they would definitely be cursing right now.
"Now, immediately bring her back!"
Relying on its innate pressure, the Spider with a Human Face began to forcefully control the giant spiders' actions.
Helpless, the giant spiders could only reorganize and go after Roy again, but when they turned around, they saw Roy walking over, holding Ailu Lei Sha's hand.
"Human, you've got some nerve, daring to come back!"
More and more giant spiders gathered around the nest, and their numbers quickly exceeded a hundred.
Each one was the size of an adult, and they looked quite imposing.
However, Roy wasn't afraid of such a small scene at all. He was someone who had fought the King of Greed head-on; this kind of situation was just a piece of cake.
Roy saw through the Spider with a Human Face's tough exterior, recognizing the bluster underneath.
If this guy was really that powerful, he wouldn't have fled in such a panic just now.
"Enough nonsense! Honestly explain your origins and why you're causing trouble for Ailu Lei Sha! If you do, maybe I'll even give you a way out!"
Hmm, I can probably sell it to Gerald later; it should be worth a good amount of money.
As for how Gerald deals with this guy, that's not Roy's concern.
Sigh, with so many women in the house, Roy unknowingly already had the worries of providing for a family.
These words completely enraged the Spider with a Human Face. This guy already held immense resentment, and now it completely erupted.
"Damn humans! You harmed the son of the great Asmodeus, experimented on my body, and now you even dare to threaten me! Ailu Lei Sha, are you just going to stand there and watch?"
The Spider with a Human Face blabbered on, becoming more and more aggrieved as it spoke. In the end, it even turned to the bewildered Ailu Lei Sha, which was truly laughable.
However, these words did confirm Roy's previous guess. It was indeed Amacham who experimented on the dead succubus's body, and things went wrong because they didn't have proper control.
Logically speaking, a large tech company like Amacham shouldn't have such oversights.
But then Roy thought again that similar things had already happened once at the Gospel Sanitarium.
If you don't want such accidents to happen, it's best not to do it at all. If you do, then you must use the highest standards.
Unfortunately, this world is just a big, shoddy operation, and you can never guess how ridiculous the cause of an accident will be.
Ailu Lei Sha blinked her eyes, somewhat confused.
"Can't I watch? Then I'll close my eyes!"
The Spider with a Human Face opened its mouth, so angry that it couldn't speak for a moment.
"Give me... give me that man taken down, and grab Ailu Lei Sha!"
In the end, the Spider with a Human Face could only order its offspring to attack.
Hundreds of giant spiders immediately pounced towards Roy and Ailu Lei Sha.
Having been prepared, Roy immediately entered his demon form and then unleashed his Aura of Fear.
In an instant, a wave of energy pushed the giant spiders that had pounced over back.
Under the influence of the Aura of Fear, these giant spiders didn't hesitate to abandon the Spider with a Human Face and ran away, their speed extremely fast.
Uh, this...
The Spider with a Human Face was both angry and anxious.
"Come back, quickly come back to me! You cowards!"
The giant spiders probably didn't want their male mommy anymore, running further and further away amidst the Spider with a Human Face's curses.
"You better behave! Don't force me to take you out!"
The Spider with a Human Face sniffed the scent on Roy's body and suddenly realized something.
"So you're the follower of the King of Sloth that Mother wants us to eliminate! Don't tell me you plan to control me the same way you control Ailu Lei Sha? I won't let you succeed!"
With that, the Spider with a Human Face turned around and burrowed into the web nest.
Could this nest be connected to the underground? It would be troublesome if the Spider with a Human Face got away.
But the next scene left Roy speechless because the Spider with a Human Face's tail had mutated so severely that it actually got stuck.
The fat tail kept wriggling, but it just couldn't get in.
This scene made Ailu Lei Sha laugh out loud.
"Daddy, this is so funny! Just like in the cartoons!"
Roy walked towards the Spider with a Human Face, wanting to pull it out of the nest.
Just at this moment, the Spider with a Human Face's fat tail suddenly grew a large number of red tentacles at a rapid speed. Roy was caught off guard and was instantly entangled by the tentacles, unable to exert any force.
"Haha! Follower of the King of Sloth, you fell for my trap!"
This guy had been pretending to be weak all along to lower Roy's guard.
No, it should be said that this guy was originally weak and only had this underhanded trick as a means of self-preservation, so it had to be sneaky.
This is a bit troublesome!
Roy focused his chaotic energy and released a Shadow of Fear at the Spider with a Human Face. Strangely, the red tentacles didn't let go of him.
The effect of the Shadow of Fear had definitely succeeded because Roy noticed that the Spider with a Human Face's body was constantly twitching, clearly having fallen into fear.
However, the red tentacles were still pulling Roy towards the Spider with a Human Face's tail.
It was as if the red tentacles had a mind of their own.
Could it be...?
Just as he was thinking this, the Spider with a Human Face's tail suddenly split open into four petals, covered in terrifying serrated teeth.
It turned out that there was also a mouth of the Spider with a Human Face here. This guy only looked like a spider; its physiological structure was no longer that of a spider.
"Daddy, be careful!"
The opened tail of the Spider with a Human Face seemed to be brewing something, and the situation was very critical.
Touch of Darkness, activate!
You have red tentacles, and I have black tentacles!
Between them, a pitch-black mass of substance appeared behind Roy, and four black tentacles stretched out from within, sweeping across the pink tentacles.
The pink tentacles that were swept across dissolved like ice and snow, all flesh and blood absorbed by the Touch of Darkness.
Roy instantly broke free from the pink tentacles' restraints, and the Spider with a Human Face's tail also finished brewing,喷出一大团 (pen chu yi da tuan - spraying out a large mass of) strange green liquid.
With such an evil-looking color, it definitely wasn't anything good.
Roy quickly activated his Bullet Time ability. In the slow-motion world, he did his best to dodge the green liquid sprayed by the Spider with a Human Face.
Tzzzzzz...
These green liquids splattered on the swamp ground, immediately corroding a large area.
What terrifying strong acid! If I had been hit just now, wouldn't I have been disfigured?
This made Roy very angry.
"Damn it, take this!"
He took out his Remington M870, racked the slide with one hand, and the power of hell was ready to be unleashed at the muzzle of the shotgun.
Boom!
The Parker Family Photo
Chapter 174 Samantha: Are you even speaking English?
The flaming skull drilled into the human-faced spider's still-unclosed, fat abdomen, then exploded with a bang, sending colorful goo flying everywhere.
It was like that feeling when a big bug bursts, really disgusting.
Luckily, Roy had run a good distance away early on and wasn't splattered by the strange, colorful goo.
"Mother... won't... let you... get away with this!"
With its abdomen blown open, the human-faced spider was obviously not going to survive, but it was still using its last bit of strength to issue a venomous curse at Roy.
So Roy finished it off with another shot from his Hell shotgun, directly blasting the babbling human face.
[Ding! Obtained the Human-Faced Spider's Fate Treasure Chest! Open it now?]
"Done!"
The human-faced spider was killed, but the giant spiders didn't retreat, making Roy a little worried.
Could it be that these guys just abandoned their male mom?
That's cold-blooded!
But thinking about it, spiders are arthropods and don't even seem to have blood, so this behavior doesn't seem that strange.
The only question was whether these giant spiders would run to town after losing the human-faced spider's control.
"Elrêsa, let's go back!"
"Daddy, my tummy's rumbling! I want a baby milkshake!"
Elrêsa lifted her white dress to show her flat stomach. She just liked the natural feel, so she wasn't wearing anything underneath.
Roy slapped Elrêsa's hand down. That gesture was really indecent, and her old dad couldn't stand to see that.
"We'll talk about it later. I don't have time right now. How about you have some of our stash to tide you over?"
Elrêsa pouted and took a baby bottle from Roy, sucking on it.
Time in the inventory was constant, so these baby milkshakes were always fresh.
But Elrêsa just loved freshly squeezed baby milkshakes, and Roy didn't understand why.
Back in the mining town, the out-of-control giant spiders were indeed attacking.
Fortunately, Roy had already warned Samantha. Using her authority as sheriff, she successfully gathered the town residents in the spacious supermarket, relying on the firearms brought from the police station for defense.
The effect was decent, barely holding them off.
Actually, Roy thought these spiders would have been more dangerous if they had stayed the size of basketballs instead of evolving to be as big as people.
Being large meant they were easier to hit, but their defense hadn't increased much, and they could still be killed by firearms.
They would have been better off being smaller. At least bullets would have been harder to hit, and they would have been more agile, able to crawl into inconspicuous pipes and corners.
Like this, as long as you have weapons, a defensive position, and a competent commander (Samantha), it's difficult for the giant spiders to break through.
"Sheriff, we're running low on ammo!"
Samantha held a Remington M870, the same model Roy had, and was single-handedly taking down giant spiders like a female warrior, one shot per spider.
Suddenly hearing Pete's voice, Samantha was both angry and anxious.
"How could we have used up the ammo so quickly?"
Pete explained a bit awkwardly.
"Uh, nothing's really happened in town for years, so some of the ammo has been sitting around too long and isn't usable anymore..."
Samantha glared at Pete, suspecting that this guy had secretly taken the ammo out and sold it, which was why this happened.
But with the situation being critical, Samantha didn't have time to worry about that now.
"We'll settle the score later! Everyone, tighten the defense line!"
There weren't many residents in the mining town, only a few hundred in total. Samantha had barely managed to find a dozen or so adults who knew how to use guns to form a defensive line with the town's police.
They were defending well, but then the deputy sheriff suddenly said they were out of ammo.
Fortunately, Samantha had a lot of battlefield experience and had already prepared multiple lines of defense. She had also made some traps using whatever materials she could find, so they should be able to hold out until dawn.
Most spiders are nocturnal, so they would probably retreat when it got light.
"As long as we can hold out until dawn!"
Samantha gritted her teeth. The current situation was even more difficult than some of the missions she had carried out in the Marine Corps.
That mission... why can't I suddenly remember it?
Samantha shook her head, trying to clear her mind of distractions, and then shot a giant spider trying to sneak up on them.
"Report your ammo count!"
"I have 5 magazines left!"
"I have 4!"
"Last 2 magazines!"
"30 rounds of 12-gauge slugs!"
……
The ammo situation was quite grim, and Pete was sweating profusely with anxiety.
The giant spiders outside seemed endless. At this rate, they definitely wouldn't last until dawn.
"Sheriff, what do we do?"
Samantha thought for a moment and came up with an idea.
"Actually, we still have one option. If someone could drive to the gun store in town and bring back some weapons and ammo, it might change the tide of the battle!"
But who would go?
Giant spiders were everywhere outside. Charging out there was a death sentence, while staying here might offer a slim chance of survival.
Samantha looked around, but no one volunteered. Everyone was just an ordinary person after all.
"Then I'll go! Pete, I'm putting you in charge!"
"Huh? Me in charge?"
Pete looked dumbfounded.
Samantha had no choice. Pete was the only one with any command experience; everyone else was a civilian.
At this moment, Moke, whose hair was inexplicably a bit green, saw the goddess preparing to risk her life, gritted his teeth, and stood up.
"Samantha, I'll go with you!"
Samantha was a little surprised by Moke's courage, but having someone go with her was definitely a good thing. Just as she was about to leave, she heard screams coming from the warehouse.
"Ahhh—"
"What happened!"
Samantha immediately became anxious. Her daughter and son were both in the warehouse!
It turned out that the warehouse was quite enclosed, with only two doors, front and back, so Samantha had used it as the last line of defense. Hundreds of elderly people, women, and children were hiding inside. The front door was where Samantha's line of defense was, and the back door was also guarded.
In theory, nothing should have gone wrong.
Who knew that although these giant spiders couldn't talk, they weren't unintelligent. Otherwise, they wouldn't have fallen for Roy's fear aura.
These guys were actually continuously spraying corrosive acid on top of the warehouse. Their acid was a bit weaker than the human-faced spider's acid, which could directly corrode steel, but they made up for it in quantity!
After more than a dozen giant spiders took turns spraying acid, they successfully corroded a large hole in the warehouse ceiling. As a result, a large number of giant spiders entered the warehouse and began hunting humans.
Hearing the screams of their families, some of the men on the front line couldn't help but run back to save them, and the defense line instantly collapsed.
"Get back here! Hold the line!"
Samantha could barely remain calm. At this point, she didn't even need to think about going to the gun store anymore. Just surviving this wave was the priority.
In the end, Pete also chose to abandon the defense line to save his son, leaving only Samantha and Moke facing the siege of dozens of giant spiders.
"Damn it! Looks like this is the end of the line?"
Samantha lowered her gun, seemingly giving up. She only regretted not being with her daughter and son. If the whole family could be together, maybe that wouldn't be so bad.
Oh, and that little man who disappeared...
Moke beside her also mustered up his courage, preparing to confess at the last moment.
"Samantha, actually..."
Just at that moment, a series of gunshots came from outside the supermarket, and then Samantha saw the giant spiders start to flee, as if they had encountered their natural enemy.
"What's going on?"
The gunshots got closer and closer, and Samantha quickly saw who was firing them. It was that little man Roy she had just been thinking about.
Roy was holding two revolvers, firing with both hands, and every bullet took down a giant spider. He wasn't missing a single shot.
When the pistol bullets ran out, Roy handed the two guns to Elrêsa beside him to reload, and then continued firing with the Remington M870.
The giant spiders around them all acted like they had seen a ghost when they saw Roy. Not only did they completely dare not attack him, but they all wished they could grow another eight legs to run faster.
Soon, Roy arrived in front of Samantha.
"Samantha, are you all right?"
Samantha, having narrowly escaped death, was a bit teary-eyed and hugged Roy tightly.
newest novels are first published here!
"Roy, it's so good that you came!"
At this moment, Moke, standing beside them, looked constipated and even a bit like a Namekian.
"By the way, Samantha, how are Ashley and the others?"
Only then did Samantha remember that her daughter and son were still in danger.
"They're in the warehouse! We have to go save them!"
The giant spiders in the supermarket had either been killed or scared away by Roy, so it wasn't dangerous here anymore.
Samantha quickly led Roy into the warehouse to rescue people.
At this time, the warehouse was a complete mess. Many shelves had been knocked over, and some people were even trapped under them.
The people who had just rushed into the warehouse were fighting the giant spiders, while the survivors were huddled in the corners, trembling.
"Ashley, Mike!"
Samantha called out her daughter's and son's names and quickly got a response.
"Mom, we're here!"
Hearing that her daughter and son were okay, Samantha breathed a slight sigh of relief. The next thing to do was to drive out these giant spiders.
However, the shelves inside the warehouse severely obstructed their view, and this complex environment was perfect for the spiders to fight in.
"Let me handle this."
This is when the curved bullets come in handy.
Roy had said before that curved bullets wouldn't be of much use, but he didn't expect to be proven wrong so quickly.
With a flick of his wrists, the two revolvers fired two bullets, which curved around the shelves and hit the two giant spiders behind them.
Samantha watched this scene in astonishment.
"Roy, how did you do that?"
"It's simple. Just at the moment of pulling the trigger, you need to flick your wrist just right to apply a force in a different direction when the bullet leaves the barrel, thus causing the bullet's trajectory to become a curve."
Samantha: ???
Are you even speaking English?
With Roy, this new force, joining the fight, the giant spiders in the warehouse were quickly repelled.
But during that time, quite a few residents were still caught in the giant spiders' webs and taken away.
So although the battle was won, the atmosphere in the warehouse was still very low. Some residents who had lost family members began to sob quietly.
At this moment, Mike stood up.
"I think those giant spiders seem to be a mutation of the local wolf spiders. They like to use their webs to catch prey and then take them back to their nests alive to eat. Maybe we can still save them in time!"
Mike's reminder made Roy recall that he did seem to see some things wrapped in spider silk balls in that spiderweb nest. That should be the prey the giant spiders had captured.
"Oh, I see. Then let's act immediately!"
Samantha immediately stood up. As the sheriff, she had a responsibility to protect the safety of the residents.
But Roy held Samantha back.
"I should still go. It's very dangerous in the swamp."
Saying that, Roy prepared to move.
However, an accident happened again. Just as Roy walked out the back door of the warehouse, which was also the direction the giant spiders had fled, he heard a series of rapid gunshots.
This is...
Such rapid gunfire definitely couldn't be from civilian weapons. Roy squinted his eyes and looked into the distance, seeing a convoy of vehicles driving over.
The lead vehicle in the convoy was actually an armored car, and the gunshots from just now were from the heavy machine gun on the armored car.
"Great, have the reinforcements arrived?"
Samantha's face was full of surprise, but Roy wasn't so happy. He quickly pulled Samantha back into the warehouse.
"Something's wrong. That's not reinforcements!"
If Roy remembered correctly, the mining town was at least four or five hours away from Las Vegas by car. There was no way the FEA could have arrived so quickly.
"If it's not reinforcements, then who could it be?"
The convoy got closer and closer, and Roy finally saw the three letters "MMC" painted on the vehicles.
Montenegro Military Company!
This military company was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amalgamated Chemical Company, specializing in doing dirty work for Amalgamated Chemical, and their methods were extremely ruthless.
Back during the Hills Have Eyes incident, the Montenegro Military Company acted without any scruples, killing anyone they saw, clearly intending to silence everyone.
Presumably, the Montenegro Military Company's goal this time was the same.
Damn it, this is trouble!
In the Hills Have Eyes incident, the Montenegro Military Company only used individual weapons, but this time they even brought armored cars.
After hearing Roy's explanation, Samantha's expression also turned grim.
"There's actually a mercenary company like this, and the federal government doesn't even care?"
Not only would the federal government not care, but they might even be helping Montenegro clean up their messes!
However, Roy didn't say this out loud, but instead spoke to comfort the others.
"Don't worry, I've already contacted the FEA. They should be here within an hour or two at the latest. All we have to do is hold out for that long!"
Although he said that, when dozens of fully armed mercenaries got out of the convoy, some of them even carrying individual rockets, the survivors still felt a sense of despair.
"Listen up, people inside! We are Montenegro mercenaries hired by Amalgamated Chemical Company. Please lay down your weapons and come out of the building immediately."
A man who looked like a captain used a megaphone to urge Roy and the others to come out of the supermarket.
If Roy hadn't warned them, everyone might have actually walked out of the warehouse.
But now, the people in the warehouse found the Montenegro mercenaries very strange. Why would they make such a big show of force if they were here to rescue people? This was clearly a setup for a fight.
"Roy, what should we do?"
Ashley Parker (Black Widow)
Chapter 175: Oops, Wrong Channel!
As Samantha looked at Roy with pleading eyes, having witnessed his almost magical curved bullet and knowing he was an FEA agent, she had already started to see him as her rock.
Roy, with his chin resting on his hand, observed the situation outside and began to think and speculate.
Hiding in the warehouse definitely wouldn't work in the long run. After all, Black Mountain had even brought individual rockets; a few RPGs would take everyone out.
Forcing a breakthrough was even more impossible.
Here in America, supermarkets usually have no other buildings around them for easy parking.
Once they tried to force their way out, who knows how many people would die.
It seemed the only option was to try and get closer to the Black Mountain mercenaries under the guise of negotiation and see if an opportunity arose.
But before that, he had to call Gerald and put some pressure on him.
"Hello, is this Mr. Blake?"
Roy heard the sound of a helicopter on the other end of the line. Gerald still loved his helicopters. That guy was going to end up like Lao Da sooner or later.
"Mr. Allin, you better hurry. Amacham's mercenaries have arrived in town. They want to silence everyone!"
"What did you say?! Hold on, Mr. Blake! At the latest, two hours, no! One hour, and the FEA will be on the scene!"
"One hour? It'll be too late! Actually, what I wanted to ask you was, if I take out this Black Mountain mercenary group, will there be any trouble?"
Gerald on the other end of the phone went silent. After a moment, he replied.
"Theoretically speaking, you are now a credentialed FEA agent. If you identify yourself and the Black Mountain mercenaries still attack you, that's assaulting a federal agent. You have the unlimited right to retaliate."
"OK! That's all I needed to hear! You better move fast. I've already taken care of the monster Amacham created and I'm planning to sell it to you. If you're late and Amacham finds it first, I won't be able to help you."
"I'll tell the helicopter pilot to speed up. That thing absolutely cannot fall into Amacham's hands!"
Gerald sounded very excited on the phone. Hopefully, the helicopter wouldn't crash from flying too fast.
After hanging up, Roy heard the Black Mountain mercenary captain outside sounding a bit impatient, urging them again.
"Listen up inside! If you don't come out now, we're going to attack! Black Mountain mercenaries will not be responsible for any injuries sustained!"
"I'll go out and negotiate with them. You guys stay inside and don't do anything rash."
Ashley, who was standing nearby, looked surprised upon hearing this.
"Roy, isn't that dangerous?"
"It's fine. Those giant spiders couldn't hurt me, let alone these humans."
As Roy was about to walk out of the warehouse, Ashley suddenly rushed over, cupped his face in her hands, and kissed him.
"Roy, you're a hero!"
Samantha, seeing Ashley's actions, felt a pang of envy, and her eyes dimmed.
Meanwhile, Moke, who was almost evolving into the Hulk, suddenly felt like he had another chance.
The girl's lips were so soft and fragrant that Roy couldn't help but savor a few more tastes before pushing Ashley away.
"I gotta go, or they're really going to make a move!"
Then, Roy took out his phone, tapped it a few times, raised his hands high, and rushed out of the warehouse.
"Don't shoot! I'm an FEA agent, and I want to negotiate with you!"
Hearing this, the mercenary captain was stunned for a moment, then immediately contacted his superiors via radio.
"Sir, there's an FEA agent who wants to negotiate with us!"
Silence fell on the other end of the radio.
"How could there be an FEA agent here? Could it be a fake? Check his credentials!"
The mercenary captain was a bit speechless.
"Sir, the FEA is a secret department. Civilians shouldn't know about such an organization. I'm guessing this guy is for real."
"Then you still need to inquire about his purpose. Could this guy be here to investigate Amacham? If things don't seem right, I can authorize you to eliminate him!"
So what if he was a federal agent? Several people sent by the White House to audit accounts had been taken care of, let alone a small FEA agent.
"Yes, sir!"
After contacting his superior, the mercenary captain signaled the others not to take action yet and let Roy walk over.
"I need to see your credentials!"
Roy reached for his credentials, but the mercenary captain was very cautious.
"Don't move! Just tell me where it is, and I'll get it myself!"
"Alright, my credentials are in my left pants pocket."
The mercenary captain took Roy's FEA credentials from his left pocket, carefully checked them, and confirmed Roy's identity.
"Roy Black, looks like you are indeed an FEA agent. Tell me, what's your purpose in this town?"
"Ha! You trying to pry into federal secrets? Who gave you the guts?"
This was the first time Roy had used the FEA's name, and he suddenly felt like it was quite enjoyable.
The mercenary captain frowned.
"You don't seem to understand the situation right now!"
With that, the mercenary captain used the butt of his gun to hit Roy on the head.
It didn't hurt at all, and there wasn't even a scratch, but a dangerous look appeared on Roy's face.
"Did you just dare to hit me?"
"Hmph! Tell me your purpose immediately! Otherwise, hitting you will be the least of it!"
"Then what else do you want to do?"
Roy looked at the mercenary captain with a provocative gaze, seemingly not afraid at all.
This made the mercenary captain very angry, so the guy pulled out his handgun and pointed it at Roy's head.
"I'll give you one last chance. I'll count to three! If you don't reveal your secrets, then take them to hell with you!"
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Sir, he won't talk!"
The superior on the other end of the radio also heard the conversation just now.
"Then take him out and stage an accident scene."
Judging by this, the Black Mountain mercenaries had probably done this kind of thing more than once.
Roy immediately asked a question.
"Have you guys killed other federal agents before?"
The mercenary captain chambered a round and then pulled the trigger at Roy's forehead.
"You're definitely not the first, and you won't be the last!"
Bang!
Roy had already entered Bullet Time. The practicality of this ability was indeed very strong, especially during gunfights.
At this moment, the speed at which the bullet was flying in Roy's eyes was as slow as a snail's pace, but it was also very difficult for Roy to make movements in this state.
Fortunately, Roy's current physical fitness was freakishly good. If it were the physical fitness he had when he first transmigrated, he would probably only be able to tilt his head or something in this state.
Contrary to expectations, there was no scene of the bullet blowing his head off. The mercenary captain looked in astonishment at the bullet Roy was holding between two fingers.
"All martial arts under heaven are ultimately about speed... Oops, wrong channel!"
As he spoke, Roy punched the mercenary captain in the face. This guy was a key witness and couldn't die.
As for the other mercenaries... well, they were irrelevant.
The sudden change caught the other Black Mountain mercenaries completely off guard, while Roy had already made his move.
Two revolvers suddenly appeared in Roy's hands, and then he fired with both hands, first taking out the mercenary operating the heavy machine gun on the armored vehicle, as well as several mercenaries carrying individual rockets.
These were the only ones among the Black Mountain mercenaries who could pose a threat to Roy. As for the others with rifles and shotguns, Roy's current physical attributes could completely withstand their attacks.
After several mercenaries were taken out by Roy in quick succession, the remaining mercenaries finally reacted and tried to fight back.
Just as both revolvers ran out of bullets, Roy directly grabbed the nearest mercenary, snatched his rifle, and used his body as a shield to continue firing.
This tall mercenary was like a slightly larger rag doll in front of Roy, completely unable to resist. He was quickly riddled with bullets by the other mercenaries.
Roy continued to make use of the "trash," using the mercenary as a projectile to throw out, knocking over several other mercenaries before continuing the same process.
Amidst the hail of bullets, Roy strolled leisurely. He discovered that his Assassin's Heart ability seemed to have some hidden effects, such as his current extremely precise grasp of bullet trajectories.
It was almost accurate to the millimeter!
This made Roy, who had originally thought he would at least get a scratch or two in this fight, feel very relaxed.
Soon, fifty or sixty fully armed and well-trained Black Mountain mercenaries all lay in pools of blood, while the only price Roy paid was a slight dizziness in his head.
Hmm, precisely calculating bullet trajectories does consume some mental energy. It was Roy's first time doing this so extensively, so he was a bit unaccustomed to it. He should be fine in the future.
After all, his Spirit attribute had already reached 48, making it his third-highest attribute currently.
Thinking of this, Roy couldn't help but feel a little strange. Wasn't he supposed to be a world-destroying berserker? How come his Spirit attribute was getting higher and higher?
No, he had to go and get a few of those brute's fate treasure chests!
The people in the warehouse heard the continuous gunshots and couldn't help but cautiously poke their heads out to see what was happening. They saw Roy sitting alone in a pickup truck, surrounded by corpses.
"Oh my god! How did he do that?"
Everyone had an unbelievable look on their faces. They observed for a long time before confirming that all the mercenaries had been killed.
Samantha mustered her courage and walked out of the warehouse towards Roy.
"Roy, did you take them all out?"
"No, I left one alive."
Roy jumped out of the pickup truck and kicked the mercenary captain. The guy was sleeping soundly and wouldn't wake up for a while.
However, while the mercenary captain didn't move, a faint voice came from his earpiece.
"Hey, what happened? Why were there so many gunshots?!"
Oh, so the mercenaries' boss was listening the whole time?
Roy looked interested, took out the mercenary's earpiece, and put it in his own ear.
"Hello! Can you hear me? Moshi moshi, sawadika, bonjour, I've come to Hebei Province..."
Roy greeted the person in the earpiece in multiple languages, but the person on the other end didn't seem too happy.
After a long silence, he suppressed his anger and replied.
"You took them out?"
"Yeah, is there a problem? You guys are allowed to kill people to silence them, but I'm not allowed to fight back?"
These words left the person on the other end speechless. No matter who judged, there was nothing wrong with what Roy said.
But some people were just used to being overbearing, only allowing officials to set fires while forbidding commoners to even light lamps.
"You actually dared to touch people from the Black Mountain Military Company, Roy Black, I'll remember you!"
This guy actually knew his identity. That was a bit troublesome!
Roy himself wasn't afraid, but he was worried that after Black Mountain found out his identity, they would go after his parents.
Considering the lawless style of the Black Mountain Military Company, this was indeed possible.
"What's your name?"
Roy's voice revealed a hint of coldness. He had been provoked by the threatening tone of the other person.
"Why should I tell you?"
The person in the earpiece wasn't stupid either and could tell that Roy was a bit angry.
"Black Mountain Military Company, huh? You guys better not do anything to piss me off, or I will definitely take all of you out! Believe me, if I can take out fifty or sixty mercenaries, I can definitely take out all of you!"
The person in the earpiece's breathing hitched.
Just as Roy said, if Roy could take out fifty or sixty fully armed mercenaries by himself, and his voice still sounded very relaxed,
this level of combat power meant that Roy really had the ability to wipe out the entire Black Mountain Military Company.
"What a madman!"
After saying that, the guy cut off the radio; he was scared.
Roy took off the earpiece, his face grim, and crushed it in his hand.
Samantha, who was standing nearby, looked worried.
"The people from the Black Mountain Military Company seem to be very vengeful!"
Roy nodded.
"Yes, Samantha! After this, you guys better move away, or just move to Texas. I have connections there, and I know people in both the state police and the FBI."
Hearing this, Samantha hesitated.
Not everyone in America likes to leave their hometown; some people prefer to stay.
With Samantha's qualifications as a Marine Corps veteran, she could have a good career as a police officer even in a big city, but she still stayed in this small town, indicating that she truly loved her hometown.
Roy continued to persuade her.
"Amacham has a lab here, which means there's something they need. They'll definitely be back! Think about your children. You don't want them to live in danger all the time, do you?"
The safety of her children finally became the last straw for Samantha.
"Okay, Roy, you're right! I really should think about my children's safety."
In the distance, the sound of a helicopter could be faintly heard.
On the other side, in the secret base of the Black Mountain Military Company, a middle-aged man was playing the role of a desktop cleanup master.
This guy was the one who had the heated exchange with Roy just now. Losing fifty or sixty mercenaries meant someone had to take the blame.
Since all the mercenaries were dead, the middle-aged man would definitely be the one to take the fall.
At this moment, the middle-aged man didn't know that Roy had left one alive.
Suddenly, the phone that had been swept onto the floor rang. The middle-aged man quickly picked it up.
"Hello, this is Hanson Doug."
"Mr. Doug, this is Bartholomew. How's the situation in the mining town?"
"There was a slight accident, and I'm trying to figure out how to resolve it."
Hanson didn't dare to tell the truth because the Bartholomew on the other end of the line was notoriously difficult to deal with.
"Then resolve it as soon as possible. That lab is very important to the company!"
"Yes, I will resolve it as soon as possible!"
The phone hung up, and Hanson called over one of his subordinates.
"Investigate a man named Roy Black for me!"
