The women around him were Roy's Achilles' heel, so this time Roy acted with unusual ruthlessness, fully intending to cripple the men in black.
However, these guys in black weren't good people either. According to the Eye of Judgment, all four of them were heinous criminals.
They were similar to those in the Dark Web organization, deserving to be shot ten times over.
The leader of the men in black, with Roy's hand around his throat, was terrified.
"What... what kind of monster are you?"
"I don't care what I am. All you need to do is tell me who sent you!"
Roy's hand around the man in black's neck gradually tightened, and the man immediately felt like he couldn't breathe.
At this moment, Dahlia patted Roy on the shoulder.
"Roy, there's a child here!"
Roy looked at Cici, who was looking at him with a frightened expression, seemingly scared by the look on his face.
This kind of interrogation scene wasn't good for a child to see, so Roy loosened his grip on the man in black's neck.
"You guys go back to the Dolphin Hotel first. Explain the situation here to Gerald Allin, and I'll take care of the rest."
Heather and Penny nodded, then pulled the other women straight towards the Dolphin Hotel.
One of the men in black had just fired a gun, and the sound had already carried, so they needed the FEA to clean up the scene, otherwise there might be some trouble.
After the women left, Roy grabbed the leader of the men in black and dragged him away from the scene.
"Look into my eyes. Who sent you?!"
His dark gold pupils released the Shadow of Fear. With Roy's current abilities, fully unleashing the Shadow of Fear could scare someone to death.
The man in black was so scared he wet his pants right there.
"The owner of the Black Shark Bar nearby sent me! Don't kill me! Don't kill me!"
Roy sneered. Killing him directly was out of the question, since too many people had seen what happened, but breaking his limbs was still an option.
He threw the man in black on the ground, stomped on his limbs to ensure he wouldn't be causing trouble for the rest of his life, and then headed towards the Black Shark Bar.
The Black Shark Bar was a fairly well-known bar on Santa Monica Beach. Roy had seen it before while strolling around, but he hadn't been inside.
Roy wasn't really that interested in drinking. He would only have a few drinks for social purposes, like when Gerald treated him or at events like those hosted by Sangiovese.
The environment in bars is so mixed and complicated; it really wasn't suitable for a pure young man like Roy (?).
Arriving at the entrance of the Black Shark Bar, two burly guys with thick waists stood guarding the door. The moment they saw Roy's face, they guessed he wasn't 21 yet.
Roy's face was really too young-looking. Although not as extreme as that elementary school basketball player nearing thirty who gets carded at bars, you could still tell he was only in his teens.
"Kid, you gotta be 21 or older to get in here. Why don't you go home and drink your milk!"
Roy looked at the two security guards with a smile.
"Your boss told me to come! If you guys aren't gonna let me in, that's fine. I'll just head back."
The two security guards exchanged a look and stopped Roy, who was about to turn around.
"Wait a minute. You said our boss told you to come? Are you a relative of his?"
"Of course not. Your boss just sent four guys in black to find me and told me to come to the bar to meet him. Didn't you know?"
The two security guards actually did know about this, because those four men in black had just walked out of here, and they had even asked them where they were going.
But one thing seemed strange to the two security guards: four men in black went to find Roy, but none of them had returned.
"Where are Eisen and the others?"
"You wanna know? I'll tell ya!"
Seeing the two security guards lean in, Roy threw two incredibly fast punches, sending them off work early for a nap.
After doing all this, Roy saw a security camera, so he gave it the international friendly gesture.
Walking into the Black Shark Bar, Roy saw a lot of people smoking weed and doing drugs.
This was another reason why Roy didn't like going to bars. He really couldn't stand these drug addicts; seeing them just made him feel disgusted.
Roy didn't bother looking for that damn bar owner, so he went straight to the bar and sat down, waiting for the bar owner to come to him.
Before his butt even hit the stool, a flamboyant middle-aged man wearing big sunglasses late at night and a floral shirt approached with a dozen or so goons. Each of these goons had bulging waistlines, clearly carrying guns.
"Whoa! No wonder you're called 'Reaper' Blake! Did you take down those guys I sent? What a bunch of losers!"
Roy narrowed his eyes at the flamboyant middle-aged man, knowing he was the one in charge.
"Who are you?"
"Vincent Diaz. I'm the owner of this bar, and the godfather of the Diaz family!"
Usually, when someone refers to themselves as being part of a certain family, it's typically an Italian gang, you know, the Mafia.
But it's already 2000! Even Al Capone, who was at the height of his power in Chicago, couldn't escape the IRS's clutches. What's this guy trying to pull?
Plus, after America passed the Organized Crime Control Act in 1970, traditional gangster organizations went downhill fast. The Mafia members who could launder their money and go legit did, and all that's left are some loose black street gangs.
Roy doubted this guy in front of him who called himself the godfather of the Diaz family. He was probably just Italian, started a gang, and then declared himself a Mafia godfather.
"Oh? So, Mr. Diaz, what can I do for you?"
Vincent Diaz walked over to Roy with an air of arrogance.
"The Santa Monica Cup's been pretty hot lately, right? I was thinking of setting up a betting pool, and your odds are the lowest, so I wanted to work with you. Throw a match, and I'll give you some cash afterwards. What do you say?"
So, he wanted to bet on the side!
The popularity of the Santa Monica Cup had attracted the attention of gangsters, and various side bets had sprung up as a result.
But Vincent obviously wasn't satisfied with that small cut, so he wanted to play for bigger stakes.
Because of Roy's outstanding performance these past few days, his odds were the lowest among all the competitors, and there were the most side bets on him to win. If he unexpectedly lost the next match, it would definitely make Vincent a ton of money.
Roy narrowed his eyes, pretending to look a little tempted.
"So, Mr. Diaz, how much money are you willing to give me?"
"A hundred grand!"
Vincent had an expression on his face that said, "Aren't I generous?" He even wiggled a bit.
Roy laughed out loud. Vincent thought Roy had agreed, but he didn't expect Roy to suddenly grab his head and slam it into the bar.
Once, twice, three times...
While slamming his head, Roy was cursing him out.
"You piece of trash! You actually thought you could bribe me, your future boxing champion, with only a hundred grand?! You can take that money and shove it! And you dared to threaten my women! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"
Roy's sudden outburst caught Vincent's men off guard. By the time they reacted, Vincent's face was covered in blood.
"Damn it, aren't you gonna help me?!"
Vincent's painful wails woke up his men, and a dozen or so goons pulled out their handguns.
"Let go of our boss right now!"
Roy suddenly turned his head, his dark gold pupils like the eyes of an ancient beast, instantly giving all the goons the feeling that their hearts had stopped.
Immediately after, the goons felt like the guns in their hands had turned into the things they feared most, and they were so scared they threw their handguns on the ground.
Then, Roy rushed into the group of goons like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, simply throwing punches and kicks without needing any technique.
But anyone Roy touched would at least suffer a fracture.
In just a minute, a dozen or so goons were knocked to the ground.
Vincent, who had just come to his senses, was completely dumbfounded. He had never seen anyone so good at fighting, not even the main characters in action movies were this exaggerated.
Vincent finally realized he had messed with someone way out of his league, like kicking a steel plate, a military-grade special steel plate.
Roy grabbed Vincent by the hair and pulled him up.
"Now, we can have a good talk about the issue of emotional distress!"
Vincent: ???
I'm the one who's been getting beat up the whole time, why do I have to pay for emotional distress?
But seeing Roy's fierce eyes, he really didn't dare to say that.
"How much do you want?"
Roy sneered.
"Why don't you try getting back to your feet? I really liked that arrogant attitude you had earlier."
Vincent gave a forced laugh, not daring to answer.
"As the future boxing champion, I deserve at least ten million in emotional distress compensation! If you can't come up with it, I'll tie you to a punching bag and use you for practice!"
Vincent's eyes almost popped out of his head. He was just a small-time gangster who owned a bar; where would he get ten million in cash?
"Mr. Blake, I don't have ten million in cash! Even if I sold this bar, it wouldn't be enough!"
"Cut the crap. How much money do you have?"
Vincent looked like he was about to cry. He knew he was going to have to pay a hefty sum today, and then there would be the medical bills for his men, which would be another expense.
Medical bills in America are terrifying, especially if you don't have health insurance...
Heh, you can ask the donut about that.
"There's only a little over a million in cash in the bar right now."
"Take me to it!"
Roy kicked and punched Vincent, forcing him to lead the way.
The customers in the bar who were still sober were a bit confused by the scene. After all, Vincent was usually so flashy, and many people knew him as the bar owner with connections to organized crime.
The fact that such a person was being beaten like a punching bag really made some people think they had smoked too much weed and were hallucinating.
Arriving on the second floor of the bar, they found an office that was very luxuriously decorated.
Roy immediately spotted the safe behind the desk and then dragged Vincent over to it.
"Open it!"
Looking like he was about to cry, Vincent opened the safe. Inside, sure enough, was a little over a million dollars, all in hundred-dollar bills.
Roy casually grabbed a black bag and stuffed the money into it.
"Is there any more?"
Vincent quickly shook his head, but Roy saw something in his eyes that told him the guy was still hiding something.
So, Roy slammed Vincent onto the desk again.
"You better come clean, or I'm gonna pull out all your teeth, one by one! You wanna try me?"
Everyone knows how painful it is to have a tooth pulled, and most people can't handle it without anesthesia.
Seeing that Vincent wasn't talking, Roy picked up a pair of scissor-like clippers from the desk. These were probably cigar cutters, usually used for cutting cigars, but they could勉强 be used to pull teeth.
Roy was a novice dentist with practically no technique, but he believed in the power of brute force and just yanked out Vincent's front tooth.
That must have been excruciatingly painful!
Vincent couldn't take it anymore right then and there.
"I'll talk, I'll talk, I'll talk! There's a hidden compartment under the desk that you can open!"
Roy punched Vincent unconscious. The guy was no longer of any use.
Under the desk, Roy indeed saw a wooden panel that looked a bit off, so he used the blood-stained cigar cutters to pry open the hidden compartment.
Inside, there were actually a few gold bars and some cocaine. This must have been Vincent's last stash.
Roy didn't bother with the cocaine and just put the gold bars into his inventory. That was good stuff.
But when he picked up the gold bars, a badge fell to the ground.
What's this...?
Roy picked up the badge and immediately recognized it as a membership badge for the Dark Web.
The Dark Web organization has always had a strict membership system, including that private club outside Austin. Only members can get in.
Vincent actually had a membership badge too. Could it be that there's a Dark Web branch here in Los Angeles?
Well, that wasn't entirely surprising. It would be strange for a bustling city like Los Angeles not to have the Dark Web.
Roy tossed the Dark Web badge back and then left the Black Shark Bar.
Being the upstanding citizen that he was, Roy walked out of the bar and made a phone call.
"Hey, is this little Roy?"
A playful voice came from the other end of the line.
"Ahem! Sister Elena, I'm not little! Didn't you notice that yourself the night before last?"
"Hehe, just kidding! What can I do for you?"
"Sister Elena, I found a bar that's hiding drugs, at least several kilos of cocaine. Are you interested?"
"Huh? Why are you suddenly talking about this? Did that bar owner bother you?"
Elena didn't seem too interested. After all, probably over eighty percent of the bars across America had drugs; the FBI couldn't possibly manage it all.
The most ridiculous thing is that the source of these drugs usually traces back to the CIA. What's the point of arresting anyone?
The FBI is only interested in big drug lords. Small operations like the Black Shark Bar are usually handled by the DEA.
"That bar owner wanted me to throw a fight, and he even threatened the people around me."
As soon as Elena heard this, she immediately got angry.
"What?! He actually wanted you to throw a fight! That damn guy!"
Elena knew that Roy was a promising former boxer. If people found out he threw a fight, his career would be over.
"Where's that bar? I'll bring some people over right away!"
"Sister Elena, I also found out something else: that bar owner is a member of the Dark Web."
Elena on the other end of the phone was silent for a moment before answering Roy.
"Oh, so he's a distinguished member of the Dark Web, huh? Well, then we'll have to give him the VIP treatment!"
These words were practically gritted out from Elena's teeth. This older FBI agent sister had suffered quite a few losses at the hands of the Dark Web organization.
Now that she was in Los Angeles without any superiors holding her back, it looked like Elena was out for revenge.
Roy gave the address of the Black Shark Bar and hung up the phone. He looked up and saw a shooting star streak across the night sky.
Angelina Jolie's Lara
Chapter 159: Two Men and a Woman
The shooting star in the sky grew larger and larger, gradually turning into a ball of fire.
Turns out it wasn't a shooting star at all, but a falling aircraft that crashed in a desolate area east of Los Angeles.
In the desert, ground receiving personnel were already prepared to recover the aircraft.
That's right, it was Gerald Olin from the FEA.
The aircraft that landed was the Space Shuttle Columbia, returning to Earth after completing its mission in space.
Originally, this job should have been done by NASA, the American space agency. However, something seemed to have happened on the Columbia, so the White House had the FEA take over.
Coincidentally, the Columbia's landing site was near Los Angeles, so Gerald, the director of the FEA's Los Angeles branch, became the one stuck with the job.
This was also one of the reasons why Gerald had been away on a business trip for several days – he was at a meeting at FEA headquarters.
"Damn it! Things are really piling up!"
Gerald touched his hair, feeling it thinning more and more.
FEAR (presumably a typo and should be FEA) personnel picked up fire extinguishers, first putting out the flames on the surface of the Columbia, and then began trying to open the shuttle's door.
They didn't know if the astronauts inside the Columbia had passed out. Even after the FEA agents used a cutter to open the shuttle door, there was no movement inside.
Realizing there might be a problem, Gerald had several FEAR (again, likely FEA) team members in full protective suits enter the Columbia to check, while the others retreated to a distance to wait for news.
The FEAR (likely FEA) team members were stunned when they entered the Columbia. The inside of the shuttle was completely charred, and all three astronauts had turned into burnt corpses.
Well, at least these three astronauts wouldn't have to work overtime for nine months on the space station like their successors.
"What's the situation inside? Why is it so dark?"
Gerald's voice came through the earpiece.
The FEAR (likely FEA) team members who entered the Columbia were all wearing miniature cameras, similar to body cams, so Gerald outside could potentially see some footage, but all he saw was pitch black.
This was mainly because miniature cameras back then weren't as good in terms of resolution.
"Uh, Director Olin, the inside of the Columbia is completely charred, looks like there was a fire! The three astronauts have been burned to death!"
"A fire? Could it be that the Columbia had an accident when returning to Earth?"
Theoretically, if the space shuttle had an accident when entering the atmosphere, it was indeed possible for something like this to happen.
The problem was, if it really caught fire, shouldn't it have taken longer to put out?
The FEAR (likely FEA) team member's miniature camera didn't even capture any smoke. The fire must have been out for a while.
"Check the environment inside the Columbia!"
The FEAR (likely FEA) team members used detection instruments to begin their checks.
Air detection… safe!
Radiation detection… safe!
Life sign detection… there's a response!
"Director Olin, we've detected life signs!"
"Life signs? Check inside the Columbia!"
The space inside the space shuttle is actually very limited. After all, the power section takes up a lot of space, and trips between the space station and Earth don't take too long. Besides the cockpit, it's mostly the cargo bay.
Soon, the FEAR (likely FEA) team members found three crystal coffins in the cargo bay, containing one woman and two men, all completely naked.
All three had their eyes closed, with perfect faces and figures, making all the FEAR (likely FEA) team members who saw them involuntarily swallow their saliva.
Fortunately, someone's voice in the earpiece woke the FEAR (likely FEA) team members up.
"What are you doing? Report your findings now!"
"Director Olin, I, we saw three people lying in crystal coffins in the cargo bay!"
"Three people?"
Gerald knew that something had happened to the Columbia, which was why the FEA was taking over, but he didn't know that the three astronauts had brought back three people from space.
Could they be aliens?
If they were really aliens, shouldn't they be handed over to Area 51?
Area 51, refers to an area located in Lincoln County in southern Nevada, USA. There is an air force base here, which America uses to secretly develop and test new air force aircraft.
However, many Americans believe it's related to UFOs or aliens.
"Move those three crystal coffins out."
Under Gerald's command, the three transparent crystal coffins were moved out. After seeing the people inside, all the agents on the scene swallowed hard.
The sound of swallowing was very uniform and loud, and even Gerald was no exception.
But after swallowing, Gerald felt something was wrong. This situation was too similar to the enchantment during the succubus incident.
Could it be…
"Cover these transparent crystal coffins with tarpaulins and transport them to the nearest underground base!"
The FEA in Los Angeles naturally wouldn't only have the base under the Dolphin Hotel. In fact, that base was mainly used for offices.
Gerald had been careless before. He hadn't expected succubi to evolve with the times and enter electronic products to influence people, which led his subordinates to directly bring Adela's laptop back to the underground base, almost wiping out all the agents there.
So this time, Gerald was going to be more careful. He would directly transport the three crystal coffins to the nearest small underground base, so that even if an accident happened, the impact wouldn't be too great.
"Yes, Director Olin!"
Watching the three crystal coffins being loaded onto vehicles, Gerald fell into deep thought.
At first, Gerald thought the people in these three crystal coffins might be aliens, and he even considered handing them over to Area 51 to avoid any direct trouble.
After all, the Mamen conspiracy and the Beelzebub cult were already keeping the FEA busy enough. Gerald really couldn't spare any manpower to deal with aliens.
However, the powerful charm displayed by the people in the crystal coffins just now had alerted Gerald. Could it be something similar to a succubus again?
This time, unlike the previous cyber succubus, these beings had real physical bodies, so Gerald had the idea of taking them to headquarters for research.
Taking out a satellite phone, Gerald moved away from his subordinates and made a call.
"Hello, sir, this is Gerald Olin. I have a discovery regarding the Columbia!"
"...Yes, yes, should we transport it to headquarters?"
"...Research it directly in California? But the Los Angeles branch doesn't have a research department!"
"...Amacham Technology Company? Okay, I'll contact them."
Hanging up the phone, Gerald let out a soft breath. If he could handle this matter well, then even if something went wrong with the Lord of Greed incident, he probably wouldn't be demoted.
Thinking of this, Gerald picked up the satellite phone again and started dialing a number.
The scene shifted back to Roy's side. After picking up Elena, he left the Black Shark Bar and returned to the Dolphin Hotel.
Several of the girls hadn't left yet; only Dahlia had gone to put the child to sleep.
"Roy, is everything alright?"
Heather and Penny weren't worried about Roy at all, after all, they had seen him defeat demons more than once.
Only Mary, Keller, Molly, and Amy were a little nervous.
The one who spoke was Amy. In fact, she knew the least about Roy, and her feelings for him were more lust than love.
After all, she was at that age and had needs.
Since she had needs, why not find a handsome, well-built, and exceptionally good young man?
The key was that it wouldn't cost her any money!
Well, if Roy knew what Amy was thinking, he would definitely punish her with his long whip, making her kneel on the ground and call him Daddy.
"It's okay. I've had a friendly chat with the boss of those guys in black and made them pay some compensation for emotional distress. I'll distribute it to you now."
Roy took out the cash from the black bag and divided it equally among the women. Including Dahlia, who wasn't present, there were seven people in total, so each person received an average of $180,000.
This situation made the expressions of several women turn strange.
Heather and Penny happily accepted the money. They would do whatever Roy said.
Molly and Amy were a little hesitant. Neither of them had a fixed income at the moment, and $180,000 was enough for them to spend for a long time.
Only Mary and Keller had the highest education, and they both knew a lot about law. Mary was even a law student.
"Roy, will doing this cause you any trouble?"
Roy glanced at Mary. Was this short-haired girl now so concerned about him?
"It's okay. I've already sent those guys to the FBI. I know people there, and they won't be getting out."
Hearing Roy say this, Mary and Keller finally felt relieved and accepted their compensation for emotional distress. There was still some cash left in the bag for Dahlia.
A smile appeared on Amy's face.
"I didn't expect to get such an unexpected reward for watching a game!"
Roy smiled and then thought of other things.
"Recently, the Santa Monica Cup seems to have been targeted by gang members who are manipulating the betting odds. You guys should be careful these days and don't go anywhere alone."
If Vincent Diaz could think of manipulating the betting odds, other gangs would definitely think of this lucrative method as well.
This time, that idiot had stupidly come directly to their door. If other gangs kidnapped the people around Roy first and then called to threaten him, it would be troublesome.
Roy didn't have the ability to track people through phone lines.
Keller nodded repeatedly.
"We really should be careful. The security in Los Angeles has always been bad!"
The group chatted for a while, and then Keller and Molly said goodbye to Roy. Roy then drove Mary and Amy back.
Next was game time before bed. Roy, Heather, Penny, and Dahlia continued playing squad matches to rank up, aiming straight for the world championships.
After a night of flexible ranking, Roy woke up refreshed.
Looking at the three women hugging each other in bed, Roy felt quite comfortable and prepared to get dressed and go out for breakfast.
Before leaving, he still habitually patted the three women's butts.
Slap, slap, slap!
Three crisp sounds, and Heather and Penny couldn't help but stretch out their long legs and kick Roy.
"You bad guy! Don't disturb our sleep."
"Hehehe!"
Roy laughed and dodged the two women's attacks, taking the opportunity to grab their feet.
Hmm, both the feel and the shape were perfect. The guys on the forum would definitely be going crazy.
"Roy, what time is it?"
Dahlia rubbed her eyes and sat up, not minding the blanket slipping down to reveal a magnificent and beautiful scene that shone brightly in the morning sunlight.
"It's not even seven o'clock yet. Why don't you sleep a little longer?"
As soon as she heard the time, Dahlia woke up completely.
"Oh my god! Is it almost seven already? I have to go back to my room!"
Dahlia quickly got up to put on her clothes, but her body was entangled with Heather's and Penny's, creating a stunning and breathtaking sight.
"Roy, please help me!"
Honestly, Roy quite enjoyed watching this scene, but Dahlia was anxious to see her daughter, so he could only pull Dahlia out of the tangle.
Dahlia's current room was 1209, next to 1208. Before, she would try her best to go back to her own room at night to be with her daughter.
However, last night's battle was probably too intense, so Dahlia had forgotten about it, which was why she seemed a little anxious.
Roy and Dahlia each got dressed, and then went to 1209 to pick up their daughter, Cici. The three of them went downstairs to the restaurant for a meal like a family.
Dahlia had already received the compensation for emotional distress last night. She was now extremely grateful to Roy and willing to do anything for him.
With this money, Dahlia was much more confident about winning custody of her daughter. Moreover, Mary had also introduced her to her senior from law school who worked as a lawyer.
Roy chatted with Dahlia for a while, and then, as usual, picked up the newspaper and began Browse the latest news. This was a habit he had developed since coming to Los Angeles.
Unexpectedly, the headline on the front page was major news: two members of the Los Angeles Police Department's Board of Commissioners had died last night.
The Los Angeles Police Department is quite unique. The highest leadership in this part is a department called the Board of Commissioners, which has five members responsible for setting policies and overseeing overall management and operations.
The sudden death of two commissioners was a significant upheaval for the LAPD.
Moreover, the obituaries in the newspaper were somewhat vague, not mentioning how the two commissioners died, only reminiscing about their great achievements, which seemed rather strange.
Could it be Iris who did it?
It seemed like that was the only possibility!
The eye of Uriel within Iris could see people's past and future. As long as she found one person in the organization, no one else would be able to escape by following the clues.
This kind of investigative ability was simply too strong!
The larger the organization, the easier it was for Iris to get to the bottom of it. On the other hand, because Jack Derr's side had too few people, Iris probably wouldn't be able to find out much.
It was a pity, but resolving the Beelzebub cult first was also a good thing. At least Roy had one less thing to worry about now.
After flipping through the newspaper for a while, Sultana suddenly appeared and sat down next to Roy, picking up the half-eaten sandwich Roy had and eating it.
Chapter 160: Cosmic Space Demon
Seeing Saultana wolfing down her food like that, Roy knew she must have been working all night again. She looked visibly exhausted.
This made Roy feel a bit sorry for her.
"Saultana, if you're really too busy, why don't you take a break?"
Saultana swallowed the food in her mouth and then replied to Roy.
"I was just about to take a break! There's just no way around it, things have been so crazy busy lately. Everyone at the bureau is swamped, so I don't feel right taking a break by myself."
Feeling a bit helpless, Roy couldn't really press her after Saultana said that. He could only look for opportunities to give his big sister more shots.
The shots really help his big sister sleep soundly, and she wakes up feeling really refreshed.
"Oh, by the way, Saultana, did you see this?"
Roy handed Saultana the newspaper headline he had just seen.
Saultana's eyes were immediately drawn to the news, and she was quiet for a moment.
"I heard Marlene mention it yesterday. Apparently, a lot of LAPD officers have died recently, and now the police all over downtown Los Angeles are on edge. Roy, do you think it was that nun who showed up the other night who did it?"
Sure enough...
"It's probably her. She's the only one who could find the people from the Gluttony King's cult so easily."
Saultana looked at the newspaper with a worried frown.
"Why can't this person just find Jack Dell? If she just took care of Jack Dell, I can't even imagine how much of a weight it would lift off my shoulders!"
It seems like the job of finding Jack Dell is about to drive the FEA agents crazy. They've been searching non-stop for five days now and haven't found a single trace of him.
"Roy, where do you think this guy is hiding?"
Saultana helplessly turned to Roy for help, hoping to get some inspiration from him.
Roy rubbed his chin and started to think.
"What places has the FEA searched already?"
"Pretty much everywhere someone could hide: Jack Dell's place, his friends' houses, most of the city..."
But Los Angeles is just so huge, a metropolis with nearly four million people, and who knows how many undocumented immigrants are living here secretly.
Trying to find someone in this city is like looking for a needle in a haystack, unless they put Jack Dell on TV and have the whole city looking for him.
But if they do that, the FEA is worried that Jack Dell might get desperate and do something rash. It's just a really complicated situation.
"Have you guys thought about checking Hollywood?"
Since Jack Dell is a TV host, he's kind of in the entertainment industry. He might even be hiding out at some Hollywood star's place.
And Hollywood has always been a hotbed for cults.
A bunch of rich, bored celebrities with not much education? Could there be an easier group to manipulate?
In reality, besides the well-known Church of Scientology that Tom Cruise belongs to, there's also the cult NXIVM that Allison Mack, who played Superman's girlfriend in the TV series "Smallville," was involved in.
This organization used violence, brainwashing, and other methods to manipulate women, turning them into sex slaves.
Allison Mack even pleaded guilty and went to prison in 2021.
These are just the famous ones. Who knows how many dark secrets are hidden in the shadows? The entertainment industry has always been a place where dirt gets swept under the rug, no matter which country you're talking about.
Saultana gave a wry smile.
"Of course we've thought about it. We've even checked out some of the smaller celebrities, but there's no way to get to the big stars. Their connections are so complicated that even the names of the FEA and FBI don't really carry much weight."
Well, in America, money talks!
And the big stars in Hollywood happen to be pretty loaded. It's impossible to search their homes without a warrant.
After all, these Hollywood big shots probably have some skeletons in their closets, so they definitely wouldn't want the police searching their houses.
As for getting the court to issue that many warrants... you might as well just kill the judge.
"Well, there's nothing we can do then! You guys have been searching for so many days and haven't found Jack Dell. I bet he's hiding out in Hollywood."
Hearing this, Saultana shook her head helplessly.
"Looks like we'll have to think of something else."
Roy gave his "chocolate" big sister a hug.
"Saultana, don't think about it too much. The most important thing for you right now is to get some rest! Why don't you just go rest in my room?"
Saultana shook her head.
"Because there's been so much work lately, Gerald set up a break room in the hotel. I'll just go take a nap in there."
No wonder Saultana was in the dining room.
After Saultana finished eating, she left. Roy and Dahlia sat there for a little while longer, and just as they were about to leave, they saw Penny sneaking over.
"Huh, Penny, didn't you say you were going to sleep in a bit longer? What brings you down here so suddenly?"
Penny grabbed Roy's arm and sat down next to him.
"I snuck down here without Heather knowing! Roy, there's an important day coming up in a few days, do you remember?"
Hmm, if your girlfriend suddenly comes up to you and says there's an important day coming up, it's either her birthday or some kind of anniversary.
Being the smooth operator he was, Roy figured it out instantly.
"It's Heather's birthday, right? Of course I remember!"
Penny nodded happily and then started shaking Roy's arm.
"Roy, should we plan a birthday surprise for Heather?"
Speaking of birthday surprises, Roy immediately thought of the surprise they had prepared for Niddy's birthday last time. That memory wasn't exactly pleasant.
Hopefully this time won't be like that.
But now Penny and Heather are really as close as sisters. It's surprising she wants to do something like this too.
"Hmm, I'll talk to Gerald later about renting out the hotel restaurant on the 21st to give Heather a surprise!"
Just then, Ceci, who was in Dahlia's arms, also spoke up.
"Uncle Roy, if Aunt Heather's having a birthday, does that mean there'll be birthday cake?"
"Definitely!"
"Yay, we get to eat birthday cake!"
Kids are so easily pleased. Ceci was only thinking about eating birthday cake right now.
But Roy was thinking about other things. Without even realizing it, he'd been in Los Angeles for almost twenty days. Time really flies!
A lot of things have happened during these days. It really makes you think!
Dahlia was also quite enthusiastic about helping plan Heather's birthday surprise. After all, they were comrades-in-arms who had played ranked games together.
The two of them started discussing how to decorate the hotel restaurant, and then Ceci joined in too.
"Roy, who should we invite?"
While Roy was lost in thought, Penny called him back to reality.
"Who should we invite? Why don't we just invite us?"
Heather's old group of questionable friends basically all died in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre incident. Now her social circle is pretty clean; it's just the people around her.
But this made Dahlia's expression turn a bit strange.
"Are you talking about Mary, Keller, Molly, Amy, and Saultana?"
When Dahlia said that, Roy realized. Wasn't that just his harem and his potential harem?
"Uh, should we invite Gerald Olin?"
Penny shook her head.
"Nah, let's skip it! It's better if it's just us. If there are strangers around, people won't have as much fun."
Yeah, Heather's already an adult. It's different from students like Niddy.
It's not awkward for classmates to joke around, but if that guy Gerald shows up at the birthday party, the whole atmosphere will probably get really weird.
Gerald: ???
Speaking of which, I don't think I saw Gerald in the dining room today. I wonder if that guy went on another business trip?
Of course Gerald didn't go on a business trip. After all, he's the top person in charge of the FEA's Los Angeles division. There's no way he'd leave Los Angeles every other day.
He just happened to be around for the Slender Man incident before.
At this moment, Gerald was at the FEA's secret base in the suburbs of Los Angeles, meeting with Bartholomew, a representative from Amacham Technology (from the movie "The Canyon").
"Hello, Ms. Bartholomew!"
Gerald reached out and shook Bartholomew's hand.
"Hello, Director Olin!"
Bartholomew was a very refined middle-aged woman in her fifties. Her perfectly styled blonde hair and the barely noticeable makeup on her face showed that.
After they exchanged some pleasantries, they started talking about the collaboration.
"Director Olin, Amacham Technology has always focused on biological technology. The FEA could totally hand over those three aliens to me."
Gerald frowned slightly. This Bartholomew was really pushy, actually trying to snatch the spoils right from under the FEA's nose.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Bartholomew, but these three individuals are important assets of the FEA and cannot leave FEA custody."
Bartholomew didn't seem to mind at all and gave a smile.
"Alright, could you show me those three aliens?"
Gerald nodded.
"Please follow me."
Gerald led Bartholomew to an observation room. Inside, there was something covered with a canvas tarp.
"Why cover it with a canvas? You can't see anything like that."
Bartholomew was a bit puzzled.
"They're very dangerous. Looking directly at them carries some risk, so we have to keep them covered. But if you'd like to see, Ms. Bartholomew, I can show you for a moment."
With that, Gerald pressed a button, and a robotic arm descended from the ceiling of the observation room, lifting the canvas to reveal a beautiful woman inside a crystal coffin.
Even Bartholomew, who was also a woman, was momentarily stunned by the sight, let alone anyone else.
Coming back to her senses, Bartholomew wore a thoughtful expression.
"This woman definitely seems to be trouble! Director Olin, didn't you say there were two others?"
Gerald pressed the button and the canvas quickly covered the coffin again.
"The other two are men, and their condition is similar to this woman's."
Bartholomew nodded.
"The company's biological experts will be here soon. We can start the research tonight."
Gerald turned his head to look at Bartholomew.
"Are they male experts or female experts?"
"Male experts. But they're all very old, so they shouldn't be affected by the woman."
Gerald's brow furrowed.
"Ms. Bartholomew, you need to understand one thing. For the FEA, safety is the top priority. I don't want any accidents!"
Bartholomew smiled.
"Of course. Amacham Technology also prioritizes safety above all else."
Hmm, if Roy were here, he'd definitely have something to say. The Gospel Sanatorium was also an Amacham Technology property, and didn't that have an accident?
Unfortunately, Gerald didn't know that. Seeing Bartholomew's calm and steady demeanor, he believed her.
"Alright, I'll arrange for a pass for your people. But when you conduct the experiments, FEA agents must be present."
"No problem!"
After finalizing the collaboration with Bartholomew, Gerald left the secret base. He'd been busy all night and definitely needed some rest.
Bartholomew also left the secret base afterwards. She was an administrator, only responsible for negotiating the collaboration, not the experiments themselves.
In the afternoon, the researchers from Amacham Technology arrived at the secret base. Most of the dozen or so researchers were elderly.
However, for safety reasons, the FEA still planned to have the researchers study the two male alien creatures first.
These alien creatures' seductive abilities were most effective on the opposite sex. Unless someone had a different sexual orientation, resistance between the same sexes was very strong.
Fortunately, these researchers didn't have any issues with their sexual orientation, so they only paused slightly after seeing the two alien creatures.
"Take them to the lab. We're going to dissect these two."
"The lab has already been prepared."
The FEA agents helped push the two male alien creatures into the lab. After a brief discussion, the researchers split up to begin dissecting the two male creatures.
Just as they started to make the first incision, the two male alien creatures suddenly opened their eyes, grabbed the researchers who were operating on them, and threw them against the wall.
These guys were incredibly strong, grabbing a person as easily as picking up a toy.
The sudden turn of events scared the researchers so badly they almost peed their pants.
Luckily, the FEA agents who were in charge of monitoring reacted very quickly and immediately opened fire on the two male alien creatures.
The bodies of the two male alien creatures were riddled with over a dozen bullet holes, but it didn't seem to affect their actions. These guys were like they couldn't feel pain, and they grabbed the two closest researchers.
The FEA agents had no choice but to use lethal force.
There was no other way. If the Amacham Technology researchers died here, the FEA wouldn't be able to explain it to Bartholomew.
With the press of a button, two automatic machine guns descended from the lab ceiling, locked onto the male alien creatures, and instantly turned them into mincemeat.
With the FEA agents also firing, the two male alien creatures struggled for a moment and then collapsed to the ground, motionless.
The Amacham Technology researchers quickly fled the lab to calm down. Apart from a few of the older guys who were thrown against the wall and sustained some injuries, the other researchers were just covered in some blood and pretty shaken up.
After catching their breath, one of the researchers suddenly thought of a question.
"If these two male alien creatures woke up, does that mean the female alien creature also woke up?"
Everyone froze for a moment and then looked towards the observation room.
Cosmic Space Demon still
