Even the usually stoic Sasuke was laughing uncontrollably. Kazama, unaware of the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader's true intentions, asked him, "So, you're the leader of the Scientific Ninja Tools Division. Why aren't you focused on your scientific research? And why do you want to challenge me? I haven't even signed up for this Chunin Exam!"
"Heh, it's simple," the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader replied, knowing Kazama would refuse his offer. He immediately spun out the lines he'd prepared earlier. "I'm telling you, Kazama, your strength is truly incredible, seriously amazing. But no matter how strong you are, you're no match for our scientific ninja tools."
"Plus, I know you're still a genin. If that's the case, then you have every reason and obligation to participate in the Chunin Exams co-hosted by the Five Great Nations."
"What's more, if you don't agree to fight me now, I can just assume you're scared of our scientific ninja tools. Then, I can use the fact that our scientific ninja tools defeated you, the hero who saved the ninja world, as an advertisement to sell my goods! And at that point, you won't be able to refuse because it'll be your unspoken agreement, after all, you dared not fight me!"
"This is infuriating!" Naruto, as the Hokage, was absolutely furious to see his subordinate disrespect Kazama. He immediately prepared to reprimand the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader.
But Kazama quickly stopped Naruto. Then, he turned back to the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader with a smile and said, "Alright, if you want to challenge me so badly, I'll grant your wish."
"Oh? Really? That's fantastic!" Upon hearing Kazama's words, the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader was overjoyed. After all, he believed that no matter how incredibly powerful Kazama was, he could use scientific ninja tools to absorb Kazama's abilities. He thought that even if he couldn't defeat Kazama, Kazama couldn't hurt him. He really valued his scientific ninja tools.
But what he didn't know was that scientific ninja tools also have their limits. They might be able to absorb basic C-rank ninjutsu to some extent. However, for jutsu like Kazama's, which were always S-rank or even SS-rank, even scientific ninja tools couldn't absorb them.
But this Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader was completely overconfident. He thought that just because he had achieved a little success, no one could stand against his scientific ninja tools. Before, he didn't even care about Hokage Naruto. So, how could he possibly care about Kazama now?
In a flash, the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader brought his flashy scientific ninja tools to the combat arena. The crowd watching burst into laughter when they saw that the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader was actually going to challenge Kazama.
Although the Scientific Ninja Tools Division Leader was arrogant, he was also very concerned about his image. So, when he saw the crowd daring to laugh at him, he instantly became enraged, flying into a fit of rage. In a flash, he started yelling insults at the crowd.
"Chapter 377: Scientific Ninja Tools vs. Ninjutsu"
"You reckless fools! How dare you mock me? This is absolutely intolerable! Now, I'll blind your dog eyes with my Scientific Ninja Tools!"
"How rude!"
"Yeah, you're a real jerk!"
The crowd, who had been watching, was immediately enraged when they heard the leader of the Scientific Ninja Tools team dare to curse at them. They shot back without hesitation.
Upon seeing this, Kazama quickly stepped in to stop the shouting match. He knew that the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader's goal was to make a name for himself in front of everyone. This was his chance to advertise his creations and make them sell like hotcakes.
However, Kazama wasn't about to let himself be used. So, he immediately urged the team leader to get on with it.
"Let's start our match now!"
"Heheheh, alright, no problem!"
In a flash, the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader simultaneously unleashed attacks with all five nature transformations: Wind, Lightning, Water, Fire, and Earth. In an instant, he launched them at Kazama.
"Heheh, listen, Kazama, no matter how powerful or amazing you are, you should understand the principle of the Five Elements' subjugation. Now that all five of my ninjutsu are coming at you, how will you dodge them?"
Just as the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader thought he had the upper hand, he suddenly realized that Kazama had vanished. This caught him off guard and surprised him.
Then, the team leader realized that Kazama had used the Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) to appear behind him. Kazama's hand was already on the team leader's neck.
"I don't want to hurt you, but I've already gained the advantage from behind. What will you do now?"
"Heheh, I'll handle your mother!"
The Scientific Ninja Tools team leader was not one to take a loss lightly. When he saw Kazama gain the upper hand, he was immediately furious and enraged.
In a flash, he used a substitution jutsu powered by a Scientific Ninja Tool to escape Kazama's grip. Then, he started cursing at Kazama again.
At this point, Kazama had initially intended to spare the team leader, considering he was a Leaf Village (Konoha) ninja. But Kazama never expected that this Scientific Ninja Tools team leader would dare to be so disrespectful and hurl insults at him.
How could Kazama possibly let him off easy?
So, Kazama immediately unleashed his S-rank Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation (Katon: Goka Mekkyaku). He directly launched it at the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader.
The Scientific Ninja Tools team leader smirked when he saw Kazama's ninjutsu. He then picked up his Scientific Ninja Tool, preparing to absorb Kazama's Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation.
However, he hadn't realized that his Scientific Ninja Tool had an absorption limit. It could only absorb C-rank ninjutsu. But this Great Fire Annihilation was a genuine S-rank ninjutsu; how could it possibly be absorbed?
As a result, in an instant, Kazama's fire jutsu shattered the absorption tool in the team leader's hand. Then, it sent the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader flying several hundred meters away. If Kazama hadn't held back, the team leader would have likely been reduced to ashes.
When the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader saw himself knocked to the ground by Kazama, he became even more enraged. He then immediately unleashed his trump card.
Once the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader revealed his trump card, not only was the crowd astonished, but even Kazama was taken aback.
Chapter 378: Those Annoying Scientific Ninja Tools!
Turns out, the leader of this Scientific Ninja Tool team, with just a wave of his hand, used his Kagaku Ningu to conjure up thousands of clones! And get this, each of those thousands of clones was absolutely covered in a ridiculous amount of exploding tags (Kibaku Fuda)!
This sudden turn of events instantly caught everyone off guard, even Kazama himself. As shinobi, they knew full well that thousands of clones strapped with that many exploding tags could cause some serious damage. One wrong move and someone could literally be blown to smithereens! Now, the Chūnin Exams are supposed to be about testing skill, not killing! It's supposed to be about stopping before lethal force. But this Scientific Ninja Tool team leader, he's just acting like a total hotshot, completely out of line! To unleash such a devastating move right off the bat, Kazama was naturally furious.
And it wasn't just Kazama who was boiling with rage. Even the Gokage and Sasuke, who were watching from above the arena, were absolutely livid, ready to explode. They thought this Scientific Ninja Tool guy, no matter how arrogant or strong, wouldn't dare pull anything too crazy in front of Kazama. But they never expected him to get so desperate, like a cornered dog, going all out! To use such a dangerous tactic against Kazama... well, it made their blood boil.
So, they immediately descended to the arena floor and started laying into the Scientific Ninja Tool team leader.
“Hey, you! You're really something else with that arrogance!”
“Yeah, don't you know this is the Chūnin Exams?! What you're doing is deliberately trying to gravely injure Kazama!”
“And even if Kazama somehow manages to dodge your attack, what about all the audience members around the arena? You'd kill them all!”
“Shut your damn mouths!” the Scientific Ninja Tool team leader roared, absolutely consumed by rage. He didn't care if anyone lived or died. All he wanted was to take Kazama down, and quickly, to vent his frustration.
Meanwhile, Kazama, seeing how incredibly arrogant this Scientific Ninja Tool team leader was acting, was shocked, and immediately spoke to him: “Listen, I was originally treating you like a fellow Konoha shinobi, not wanting to deal with you too much. But I never imagined you'd be so utterly ruthless! Arena combat is supposed to be about knowing when to stop, but your mindset is so petty. If that's how it is, then I, Kazama, won't hold back anymore!”
“Heh heh heh, spare me your damn talk! Who the hell do you think you are? Talking about holding back? Fine! Today, I'm gonna see just how you 'don't hold back'!” The Scientific Ninja Tool leader sneered. “Oh, and by the way, Kazama, I've got thousands of exploding tags! Even if you can dodge them, everyone else here won't be so lucky!”
The moment the Scientific Ninja Tool team leader finished speaking, in the blink of an eye, he commanded his thousands of clones, each loaded with exploding tags, to rush Kazama for the kill. At this moment, if it were anyone else, they likely wouldn't have a prayer of dodging thousands of exploding tags. And even if they could dodge, all the spectators and lower-ranked shinobi around would surely be blown to bits by those exploding tags.
Chapter 379: The Kara Organization Appears
However, for Kazama, dodging those exploding tags was a piece of cake. After all, Kazama utilizes the supreme spatial ninjutsu, Amenominaka. So, Kazama immediately activated his Rinne Sharingan with nine tomoe. In a flash, he unleashed Amenominaka.
The leader of the Scientific Ninja Tools team didn't even have time to react before Kazama pulled him into the icy dimension. The team leader never in his wildest dreams expected Kazama to possess spatial abilities. This instantly made him break out in a cold sweat, nearly collapsing to the ground. He then frantically tried to detonate his thousands of clones.
Unfortunately, now that he was in Kazama's icy dimension, trying to detonate the exploding tags again was simply impossible. After all, the freezing ability within this icy space is incredibly powerful, truly astounding. With just a gentle wave of his hand, Kazama froze all those thousands of clones in place. And the exploding tags on their bodies were immediately frozen into dust.
This terrified Kazama to no end. So, the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader immediately tried to use the Scientific Ninja Tools on his body to perform the Body Flicker Jutsu and escape. Unfortunately, at that moment, even the Scientific Ninja Tools on his body were frozen into fragments by Kazama. Now, the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader had no way of escaping, even if he wanted to. Besides, even if he could escape, he wouldn't be able to get away from Kazama's Amenominaka. After all, within this Amenominaka, not even the previous three Ōtsutsuki couldn't escape, let alone this trash-like Scientific Ninja Tools team leader.
At this point, the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader saw how incredibly powerful Kazama was. He knew that he might truly not be Kazama's match. So, he immediately started kowtowing and begging for mercy, trying to use a 'bitter stratagem' in front of Kazama. However, Kazama paid him no mind. Instead, he directly cast the Tsukuyomi genjutsu on the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader.
This was because Kazama had noticed earlier that the team leader's chakra fluctuations were unusually chaotic. Therefore, Kazama surmised that the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader had, more likely than not, fallen under someone else's genjutsu. Otherwise, he wouldn't be acting so arrogant and aggressive. One must remember that while not all Leaf Village (Konoha) ninjas are paragons of virtue, most are at least upright and honorable. But now, the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader's behavior and words were so abnormal. Kazama naturally deduced that there was likely an enemy secretly manipulating him.
Sure enough, after the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader fell under Kazama's genjutsu, he revealed the truth in an instant. It turned out that the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader had been controlled by a member of the Kara organization using genjutsu. Their goal was to sow chaos in Konoha and eventually destroy the village.
"The Kara organization?"
Upon hearing the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader's words, Kazama was once again surprised. This was because Kazama had long heard of the Ōtsutsuki clan. This Ōtsutsuki clan was comparable to the former Akatsuki organization. However, the true leader of the Akatsuki back then was Black Zetsu, a manifestation of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's will. But the true leader of this current Kara organization was the never-before-seen Ōtsutsuki.
Chapter 380: Alliance with Kaguya Ōtsutsuki
Kazama knew that since Isshiki Ōtsutsuki had specifically formed this organization, its members must be even more formidable and powerful than the Akatsuki. Initially, Kazama planned to deal with the three Ōtsutsuki first, then turn his attention to Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. However, Kazama never expected that Isshiki Ōtsutsuki's mind seemed to be much sharper than the three Ōtsutsuki.
Isshiki Ōtsutsuki knew that Kazama was incredibly strong, so he didn't choose to fight him alone. Instead, he decided to create an organization to confront him. He even intended to destroy Konoha, Kazama's beloved village, first, which naturally enraged Kazama.
At this point, Kazama immediately asked the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader again, "Since you were controlled by a member of the Kara organization, do you know their plan of action now?"
"I'm not entirely sure, but I overheard them saying they plan to destroy Konoha first, then the Hidden Sound Village (Otogakure)!"
"What?! This is infuriating!"
Upon hearing the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader's words, Kazama immediately flew into a rage. After all, both Konoha and Otogakure were Kazama's homes. Konoha was the ninja village where Kazama was born and raised, while Otogakure was built by Kazama himself. Many of his comrades were there, and Kazama naturally wouldn't allow the Kara members to harm them.
So, in a flash, Kazama immediately dispelled the genjutsu on the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader. Then, he brought the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader back to the real world. At this time, Naruto and the others didn't know that the Scientific Ninja Tools team leader had been controlled by villains. So, upon seeing Kazama bring the team leader back, they were ready to punish him severely.
Kazama immediately explained the situation to Naruto and the others. Afterward, he warned the Five Kage to return to their respective villages at once, as the Kara members might secretly infiltrate them. However, since the Five Kage had never heard of the Kara organization, they were surprised that someone as powerful as Kazama was so cautious about its members. This utterly baffled them.
At this, Kazama quickly told the Five Kage, "Everyone, don't think I'm overreacting. You should know that this Kara organization is even more powerful, more formidable, and more mysterious than the Akatsuki was. From what I know, the leader of this Kara organization is Isshiki Ōtsutsuki!"
"What?! An uncivilized scoundrel from the Ōtsutsuki clan!"
The Five Kage had already witnessed the power of the three Ōtsutsuki and knew how arrogant and domineering they were. Therefore, upon hearing that the leader of the Kara organization was established by a member of the Ōtsutsuki clan, the Five Kage were all utterly shocked. So, the Five Kage immediately returned to their respective villages and began making urgent preparations.
Meanwhile, Kazama instantly performed the Flying Thunder God Jutsu (Hiraishin no Jutsu) in a flash. He immediately arrived back at his Hidden Sound Village. This was because Kazama had previously used a time machine to travel to various periods of other Hokage, and he hadn't been back to Otogakure for a very long time.
