[LittleMonster@NoName: Hikari, you still there? You coming back tonight?]
[LittleMonster: Hikari, you and Big Bro aren’t around, and I’m kinda scared.]
[ … ]
[LittleMonster: Hikari, an old guy showed up earlier, saying I’m his daughter. Is he the one you said you were looking for?]
Outside Tokyo, in the suburbs.
In a quiet, forested mountain area.
Uchiha Hikari curled up into a ball on her Flying Nimbus, fast asleep.
A single dewdrop slid from a tree branch, landing on her face. Her eyelashes fluttered, and she stirred from her slumber. Rubbing her eyes, she stretched lazily under the bright morning sunlight before finally checking the messages in the chat group.
Yup… a whopping hundred unread messages.
About half of them were from Eriyi tagging her, while the other half were from Bulma and the others, asking about the situation in the Dragon Clan world and debating whether they should come check things out. Minato Namikaze, ever the cautious ninja, had talked them out of it—after all, if there was trouble big enough to make Uchiha Hikari go silent without a word, the others rushing in would probably just get themselves knocked out like genin facing a tailed beast.
[NoName: Sorry, was napping. Awake now, all good.]
[NoName@LittleMonster: If that old guy called himself Uesugi Koshi, then yeah, he’s your dad—biologically speaking. Just act normal around him. I’ll be back soon.]
[LittleMonster: Oh, okay.]
[Bulma: So, we really don’t need to come over? I mean, Tanjiro and I might not be much help, but Lady Kikyo is seriously strong. Even against those ‘Deadpool’ things you mentioned, she wouldn’t go down easily.]
[NoName: …Let’s wait till things settle down.]
In 2009 Japan, Dragon Ball and Inuyasha were massive hits. Hikari couldn’t help but wonder what kind of faces the people in Akihabara would make if they saw Bulma and Kikyo strolling down the street together…
After chatting with Eriyi and the others for a bit, Hikari hopped off the Flying Nimbus. She brushed her teeth, washed up, and tossed out a Universal Capsule to summon a small house. Inside, she took a quick shower and changed into fresh clothes.
Feeling refreshed, she glanced at her phone.
“Wow, I slept for a day and a half?”
“No wonder Eriyi sent so many messages…”
Time to head back to Genji Heavy Industries.
That very night, after getting the blood sample, Uesugi Koshi had reached out to Inuyama Ga.
This head of the Inuyama family was a seasoned veteran from the era of the previous Shadow Emperor and the only high-ranking member of the Snake Qida Eight Families who’d kept in touch with Uesugi after his years of defection.
Inuyama was thrilled when he got the call.
By the third morning, the two of them showed up at Genji Heavy Industries, armed with a freshly printed paternity test report.
The moment Uesugi laid eyes on Genji Chisei, his eyes widened, and he kept muttering things like, “He looks just like me!”
Chisei had already learned from Tachibana Masamune that his paternal genes came from Uesugi. Still, suddenly having a dad pop up out of nowhere was… a lot to process.
As for Eriyi…
The girl didn’t quite grasp the concept of a “father” yet. Uesugi’s enthusiasm overwhelmed her a bit, making her nervous.
But Uesugi had learned about her tragic origin—how she’d been cultivated as an embryo and tainted by dragon blood. His heart ached for his daughter, and he patiently spoke with her for a while before stepping out of the room. He joined Chisei and Inuyama, who’d been waiting, to discuss their next steps.
“…Patriarch, come back! The family’s a mess without a leader. We need you to take charge,” Inuyama pleaded, not for the first time.
But this time, Uesugi nodded. “Alright. I’ll step up as patriarch for now, until Chisei’s ready to take over. As for Tachibana Masamune… I’ll meet with him soon to confirm some intel.”
“The intel from that girl, Uchiha Hikari?” Inuyama asked, his brow furrowing with concern. “I haven’t met her myself, but from what you and the young master have said, something about her feels… off.”
Everyone fell silent.
The Snake Qida Eight Families called their super hybrids “Emperors” for a reason.
Emperor. White above, King below.
The White King!
This ancient dragon, second only to the Black King, was the high priest of dragonkind, commanding the “spiritual element.” It was also the bloodline ancestor of all Japanese hybrids. Ten thousand years ago, it had nearly resurfaced, triggering a catastrophic earthquake beyond human comprehension that almost sank Japan’s four islands.
If they had to explain the existence of Hikari’s “Tsukuyomi Space” with a ninja-like jutsu or Kekkei Genkai…
It could only be some ultimate technique from the White King’s lineage.
“…I’ve observed her closely,” Uesugi said. “She doesn’t seem possessed by a holy relic. Her mind’s sharp, rational. Maybe she’s not the true White King—just an avatar or a next-generation hybrid blessed with its power…”
But definitely not human.
Chisei spoke up, his voice low. “I had Crow look into her background. Nothing. It’s like she appeared out of thin air, like a shadow clone with no origin.”
“Of course…” Inuyama muttered.
“That girl’s a dragon.”
Uesugi paused, then turned to Inuyama. “Ga, gather some people. Check the status of the God Burial Site and see if that sunken ship is still there. Also, look into the Fierce Ghost Clan. If her intel’s solid, Chika should be in there… manipulated by the ‘King General.’ It’s our duty to bring him back.”
“Yes, sir,” Inuyama nodded.
Chisei’s eyes lowered, likely thinking of his brother.
“As for that girl…” Uesugi continued, “when she gets back, Chisei and I will have a talk with her.”
[NoName: So… they think I might be an avatar of the White King?]
On her way to Genji Heavy Industries, Hikari had heard about Uesugi and the others’ conversation through Eriyi.
As an Emperor-level hybrid, Eriyi’s hearing was unreal—she could pick up footsteps from several floors away. Since Uesugi and the others didn’t know about the chat group, they hadn’t bothered to keep their voices down, and Eriyi relayed every word to Hikari.
Hikari couldn’t help but laugh.
(If Bulma showed up, would they think her Dragon Ball tech was some kind of Fire King alchemy?)
“…Here we are.”
Near Genji Heavy Industries, Hikari used her Sky Dance Technique to land softly, slipping into an empty alley to deactivate her Mini Bracelet before heading toward the building.
At the entrance, she spotted a white-haired old man hurrying out, flanked by a few guys in black suits. One look, and you could tell he was a big deal.
Hikari’s mind sparked with an idea. She casually stepped into his path, her voice light but firm. “Inuyama Ga?”
Inuyama paused, frowning slightly. “And you are?”
Hikari grinned, her smile as bright as a carefree genin’s, but her eyes gleamed with the three-tomoe Sharingan. “Come on, let’s fight.”
Chapter 112: The Legend of Tamamo-no-Mae
To everyone else, it looked like Inuyama He just zoned out for a moment.
But two or three seconds later, the head of the Inuyama family staggered, as if waking from a nightmare, staring at the girl in front of him with a look like he’d seen a ghost.
“Not bad… Instant,” Uchiha Hikari said, licking her lips, her gaze calm. “But you’re only at the seventh tier?”
Instant, a kekkei genkai-like ability known for its “godspeed,” could multiply the user’s speed by powers of two. Seventh-tier Instant meant 128 times normal speed. At that velocity, a swung blade would vanish from an opponent’s sight, leaving only a faint shimmer in the air.
Compared to something like Black Sun, Instant had a lower sequence number—72—making it easier to analyze.
Well… “easier” for Uchiha Hikari, at least.
Inuyama He clearly didn’t agree.
After emerging from the Tsukuyomi space, his face was even more terrified than Uesugi Koshi’s had been. “It’s you… you’re that…” He stopped short of saying “Dragon King” in front of others.
“Shh—” Hikari made a silencing gesture, then stepped forward. “Practice more. Come challenge me when you hit ninth-tier Instant. If you manage to impress me, I might toss you a reward. Oh, and that Tamamo-no-Mae club you run? Pretty nice. Got a VIP card? I might swing by sometime.”
“...?”
Under Inuyama’s stunned gaze, Hikari hopped into the elevator, heading to the floor where Eri was.
“…We meet again, Miss Hikari,” Uesugi Koshi said, his face unreadable as he sat on the sofa outside the wooden room. “I’ve heard from Chisei and the others about you. Thank you for helping the Eight Families root out Tachibana Masamune, the traitor. Is there anything we can do for you?”
Chisei had said something similar a few days ago, but as the “young master.” Uesugi, though not yet officially reinstated as the patriarch, carried a different weight with his words, having once led the families.
“Three things,” Hikari said, holding up three fingers with a light tone. “First, the serum samples and research data—I mentioned this to Chisei already, and I want them ASAP. Second, I need to meet everyone in the Eight Families with high-tier kekkei genkai. Won’t take long, just a minute or two per person. No harm done, maybe a few days of feeling drained afterward.”
Uesugi and Chisei exchanged a glance, their expressions a bit odd. They’d both experienced that “drained” feeling firsthand. Hikari had called it a “side effect,” but it still felt… weird.
“Those two are fine. What’s the third?” Uesugi asked.
“Third, I hear you’re planning a raid on the Fierce Ghosts soon. I want in, especially for taking down the ‘King General.’”
Hikari hadn’t fully cracked the mystery of the Shadow Warrior technique or figured out where Herzog’s real body was hiding, but she could start by taking out a few King Generals. She doubted the Shadow Warrior could be mass-produced like the 20,000 Misaka Sisters from another world.
“And a fourth—”
“Wait, didn’t you say three things?” Chisei interrupted, blinking.
“Isn’t it common knowledge that the Four Heavenly Kings always have a fifth?” Hikari quipped, pushing two sheets of paper across the coffee table, filled with manga artist names and lists of books and DVDs. “Don’t worry, this one’s easy. Just pick up some stuff for me. Make sure to grab a few copies of each.”
“Manga, huh? Didn’t peg you for the type, Miss Hikari,” Uesugi said, glancing at the list before passing it to Chisei. An old guy like him didn’t read manga, so he left the shopping to the younger generation.
Chisei scanned the list, then froze when his eyes landed on a line with the names of some adult manga artists, sinking into deep thought.
Over the next few days, Hikari sent out a few Shadow Clones to join the Eight Families’ enforcement team in tracking down the Fierce Ghosts.
Her real body stayed at Genji Heavy Industries, hanging out with Eri, playing games, and meeting with the heads of the other families.
The Ryoma family head, Ryoma Genichiro, had the Thunder Pool kekkei genkai, manipulating environmental charges to unleash lightning or static barriers—basically a Naruto-style Lightning Armor.
The Miyamoto family head’s kekkei genkai was Whirlpool, controlling water to form vortex-like walls or blades for defense or attack, not unlike a Hard Vortex Water Blade.
Both were straightforward for Hikari, who’d mastered the five elemental releases.
But the Sakurai family head, Sakurai Nanami, had something interesting: Immortal, a kekkei genkai that reinforced her body to near-titanium strength, letting her punch through bulletproof steel. It was similar to Tsunade’s monstrous strength but worked differently, enhancing the entire body rather than focusing chakra at one point. In theory, it was even stronger.
It took a ton of Hikari’s Sharingan power to mimic Immortal with chakra and ki, and she slept a full day afterward to recover.
Despite Uesugi’s gag order to keep Hikari’s details under wraps, rumors spread among the Eight Families. The most popular one painted her as a modern “Tamamo-no-Mae,” a seductive figure who left everyone—man or woman—drained for days after meeting her.
Another rumor, not entirely baseless, claimed the new patriarch had a thing for Sakurai Nanami, sparking tension with the Ryoma and Miyamoto heads, leading to a duel where Uesugi still came out on top. After all, Nanami had a messy romantic history—ties with the Ryoma and Miyamoto heads, a fling with the Fuma family head, and a late husband who’d been the previous Sakurai head. Tossing Uesugi into the mix didn’t sound that far-fetched.
Hikari caught wind of the gossip but didn’t care. She was already “the reincarnation of Tsugikuni Yoriichi,” “Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto,” “humanoid demon,” and “White King incarnate.” Adding “Tamamo-no-Mae” to the list was no big deal.
She’d rather play a few more rounds of games.
It was 2009, the golden age of console gaming. Eri’s room was stocked with discs for all the major titles—Final Fantasy, Call of Duty—but the girl’s favorite was Street Fighter 4. As a royal-grade hybrid, Eri’s reflexes were insane, and Hikari could barely keep up until she activated her Sharingan, finally trading blows evenly.
After another Street Fighter 4 match, Hikari stood up in her white socks, peeled two oranges, and handed one to Eri. The girl tugged at her pant leg, holding up her notebook: “Brother’s coming.”
Sure enough, about thirty seconds later, Chisei walked in, wearing the enforcement team’s black trench coat. “Miss Hikari, we might’ve found the King General’s location.”
“Where?”
“The Fierce Ghosts’ Osaka headquarters—a place called Elysium Hall.”
Chapter 113: The Fierce Ghost Clan’s Ambush
The Snake Qida Eight Families owed their quick discovery of the Fierce Ghost Clan’s headquarters to Tachibana Masamune.
Sure, the guy was technically “Bondarev” in disguise, but after years as the family patriarch, he’d quietly gathered a ton of intel on the Fierce Ghost Clan.
Originally, this info was supposed to stay under wraps until two years later, when the two sides would clash in an all-out war. But thanks to Uchiha Hikari’s arrival, it ended up in the hands of Uesugi Koshi, who’d just returned to the family.
“We only meant to head to Osaka to confirm some details about the Fierce Ghost Clan, but then we found this…”
Genji Chisei pulled a photo from his pocket and placed it on the table.
It was a candid shot.
Taken at dusk, the photo showed the front of a secluded mountain mansion—the “Paradise Hall,” a secret hub the Fierce Ghost Clan had set up for shady deals and fundraising.
A black-gray car was parked at the estate’s entrance. The driver held the door open as the backseat passenger stepped out.
It was just a silhouette, but you could make out his face.
Or rather, his mask. A traditional Noh mask, painted with the face of an ancient Japanese noble. Vermilion lips, iron-black teeth, and a faint, dignified smile curling at the corners.
“So that’s what the King General’s Noh mask looks like…”
Uchiha Hikari narrowed her eyes, a faint sense of unease creeping in.
The Snake Qida Eight Families had the element of surprise, no doubt.
But…
Would someone like the King General really let his whereabouts slip so easily?
“We suspected it might be a trap,” Chisei continued. “The Snake Qida’s been making big moves lately—new patriarch and all. No way that goes unnoticed by the King General’s spies. The agent who snapped this photo went silent right after sending it. Even if it’s just to confirm whether he’s alive or dead, we’ve gotta check it out in Osaka. So, Miss Hikari, you in?”
“…Sure, why not.”
Hikari nodded.
After spending a few days holed up playing games with Eriyi, it was time to stretch her legs and get some action.
Just then, Eriyi tugged at her sleeve, holding up her little notebook: “Can Eriyi come too?”
“No way,” Hikari said, turning to pat Eriyi’s head gently. “This mission might get dangerous. Your brother and I will handle it. Stay home, munch on some oranges, and don’t wander off. If things go smoothly, we might even bring back another brother for you.”
“Brother?”
“Yup.”
She meant Genji Chika.
The Paradise Hall was a place Chika frequented. And if the King General had indeed set a trap in Osaka, then Chika—the Fierce Ghost Clan’s strongest fighter, the “Ultimate Evil Ghost” to Chisei’s “Emperor”—was likely to show up.
Hikari was curious to see what kind of power Chika’s Dream Tapir ability held. It sounded like some kind of forbidden jutsu straight out of the Naruto world.
That afternoon, Hikari hopped into a car headed for Osaka.
The Snake Qida Eight Families sent a team led by Chisei, with about twenty field agents and some yakuza types under their command. A dozen cars rolled out in a “器”-shaped formation, with Hikari’s car in the center, where only Chisei rode with her.
Halfway there, Chisei kept sneaking glances at her. Finally, he spoke up. “Miss Hikari, if I may… what do you think of Eriyi?”
“What do I think?” Hikari was sprawled by the window, watching the scenery zip by. She didn’t even turn around.
“I mean…” Chisei paused, choosing his words carefully. “Eriyi’s bloodline is exceptional, but her mind’s like a child’s. She doesn’t understand a lot of things, doesn’t have a clear sense of right or wrong… If you’re just looking for someone to pass the time with, I’m not sure Eriyi’s the right choice. There’s gotta be someone better suited.”
“A toy, huh?”
Hikari raised an eyebrow, catching his drift.
If she really was a Dragon King, like they suspected, then her hanging around Eriyi might just be for kicks. In the Dragon Clan world, hybrids generally saw dragons and humans as two separate species—friendship wasn’t really a thing.
But…
“A toy’s better than a tool, don’t you think?” Hikari said lightly. “Instead of worrying about what I think of Eriyi, maybe focus on how you’re gonna face your brother. You did kill him yourself, after all. He’s probably itching to tear you apart. I don’t care either way, but Eriyi might not be thrilled.”
“…”
Chisei went quiet.
Sure, Herzog had manipulated things, but it was Chisei’s hand that killed Chika. And before that, Chika had murdered girls in Rokutori Town and turned them into puppets. As a “Ghost Slayer,” Chisei didn’t know how to face that past.
Soon enough, the cars rolled into Osaka, heading toward the Paradise Hall in the suburbs.
As they drove, the surrounding civilian cars thinned out, replaced by a line of bulky cargo vans and a gang of biker punks tailing them on motorcycles.
“Boss, I think we’re being watched…” Crow’s voice crackled over the radio.
Before he could finish, the vans swerved hard, charging toward the Snake Qida’s convoy like stampeding tailed beasts! Two lanes separated them, but the massive vans—three or four meters tall—smashed through a couple of civilian cars, crushing them like paper before barreling toward Hikari’s group!
Screeeech—!
Brakes squealed. Sparks flew as tires skidded against the pavement.
Then, the cargo vans’ doors slid open, revealing pre-loaded heavy machine guns. A storm of bullets erupted!
Rat-tat-tat—
The gunfire was deafening.
The Snake Qida’s cars had basic bulletproofing, but under the relentless barrage, they were falling apart fast. Windows shattered, glass shards flying everywhere. Some agents tried to return fire, but the overwhelming firepower pinned them down.
The bikers caught up, pulling shotguns and submachine guns from their bikes and unloading wildly.
“…Well, damn, they’re going all out, huh?” Hikari muttered, peering out the window at the bullet storm, which looked like a steel waterfall. She let out an impressed whistle.
This kind of machine-gun chaos was something you wouldn’t see in the Naruto world—maybe only the Red Ribbon Army from Dragon Ball could pull off something like this. She’d faced a smaller attack back at Genji Heavy Industries a few days ago, but that was a chunin-level skirmish compared to this.
Her car, parked in the middle of the convoy, was fitted with extra bulletproof plating. The barrage had only cracked one window so far, so no need to panic.
Next to her, Chisei’s face was grim.
In Japan, nobody dared to challenge the Snake Qida Eight Families like this!
“Crow, Yasha, cover me!”
As the gunfire paused briefly, Chisei kicked the door open and leaped out, instantly activating his Dragonbone State. The other cars’ doors flew open too, and Crow and the others, some already wounded but holding on thanks to their dragon blood, followed him out.
On the other side, the attackers hauled out rocket launchers.
Boom! Boom! Boom—!
Several rockets, trailing long tails of smoke, screamed toward the Snake Qida convoy!
“Get out of the way!” Chisei shouted.
In his Dragonbone State, his royal blood surged, giving him reflexes and speed far beyond a normal human’s—dodging the rockets was as easy as a ninja dodging a kunai. But the others weren’t so lucky. One car took a direct hit to the backseat, erupting in a blinding explosion. Seconds later, the fuel tank ruptured, triggering a second, even bigger blast!
BOOM!!!
Hikari had been enjoying the show, but the second wave of rockets came straight for her car, exploding less than a meter away with a deafening roar!
Chapter 114: Minamoto no Yorimitsu
Flames erupted!
In the midst of a deafening roar, a cloud of white mercury vapor spread outward in all directions!
Mercury explosive rounds.
In the Dragon Clan world, mercury was to dragons what wisteria flowers were to demons in Demon Slayer—a deadly poison even pureblood dragons couldn’t withstand. Back before humans invented firearms, this stuff was the go-to for slaying dragons.
Uchiha Hikari’s eyes sharpened.
She wasn’t a Dragon King, so mercury didn’t faze her, but the enemy’s tactics clearly had her in their sights. Maybe…
The Fierce Ghosts’ goal this time wasn’t Chisei or the others—it was to hunt a “Dragon King.”
In the next instant, a dark red aura coalesced in the air, forming a massive skeletal frame several meters tall. It enveloped the bulletproof car, shielding it from the barrage of gunfire. Even rockets that could smash through walls left only superficial “scratches” on the giant skeleton, which were instantly repaired by chakra.
The car door opened.
Hikari stepped out leisurely, raising both hands. “Fire Release: Great Fire Wall Technique!”
Chakra surged, and a massive vortex of flames roared to life, spiraling upward into the sky! A crimson fire wall, over a dozen meters tall, engulfed the entire convoy. The relentless storm of bullets melted as they passed through the flames, the gunpowder inside acting as fuel, making the fire burn even hotter!
“What the hell?!”
The gunmen around them were dumbfounded.
They were hybrids too, aware of some things about the dragon world, and they’d been briefed that they were up against some heavy hitters from the Eight Families. But…
Could a kekkei genkai do this?!
Seeing Hikari’s figure, Chisei seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and began chanting ancient dragon script. “Kekkei Genkai: Sovereign!”
In an instant, gravity multiplied dozens of times!
Every hybrid outside the fire wall was crushed to the ground, except for the Eight Families members within. Machine gunners in their vans and the bikers behind them collapsed with a chorus of thuds, their brains overwhelmed by the pressure.
The intense force even cracked the asphalt road into a web of fine fractures.
The cost? Chisei staggered, barely caught by Sakura Yabuki before he could fall.
Sovereign’s oppressive force came at the expense of the user’s vitality. After using it, Chisei was out of commission, needing time to recover. It was a double-edged control technique.
But there was no choice.
The enemy had come with serious firepower, clearly intent on wiping them out here. Without Sovereign, the enforcement team would’ve taken heavy losses.
“Crow, Yasha, take out the gunners in the vans—” Chisei started, but a sharp whistle cut through the air!
A slender boy in ornate, geisha-like robes broke through the fire wall with a cherry-red longsword, thrusting straight for Chisei’s heart!
At the last second, Sakura yanked Chisei back, taking the blade through her own chest.
“Sakura?!”
Crow and Yasha charged from behind, swinging their blades in unison, but they were knocked back in seconds, blood spraying from their wounds.
Just as the boy prepared to strike Chisei again, he froze, sensing something, and looked up. A flash of lightning-like swordplay slashed toward him, closing in at blinding speed. He raised his sword to block, but the sheer force sent him flying backward.
Thunder Breathing, First Form: Thunderclap and Flash—Godspeed!
The milky-white mercury vapor dissipated.
The flames of the fire wall began to fade.
As Chisei’s Sovereign field weakened, some of the suppressed gunmen struggled to their feet, only to be met by the enforcement team, who rushed in. The two sides clashed in a chaotic melee.
Hikari ignored it all, her calm gaze fixed on the boy across from her.
He had Chisei’s face.
But his delicate frame and softer demeanor made him look several years younger, like he was only seventeen or eighteen—
The Fierce Ghosts’ “Dragon King,” Minamoto no Yorimitsu.
No… in this form, he was likely his second personality, the malevolent ghost, Kazama Ruri.
“Did the King General send you? Where’s he at?” Hikari asked, subtly scanning the area but not spotting the masked face from the Noh theater.
“Heh.” Yorimitsu smirked mockingly. “So you’re the ‘Dragon King’ who took out Tachibana Masamune? Just a kid… Thanks for doing one of my jobs for me. As a reward, I’ll make your death painless.”
“?”
Hikari’s lips curled into a grin. “Since I got to this world, you’re the first one ballsy enough to talk to me like that. But… you’re not good enough to kill me.”
A brief standoff followed.
Hikari moved first, her petite frame darting forward like lightning, raising her blade and slashing down! Yorimitsu reacted instinctively, his cherry-red sword clashing with Onikiri, sparking brilliantly!
Ancient Shinken Style: Lion’s Manifestation!
Then came Mirror Mind Wisdom Style, Yagyu New Shadow Style, Misty Divine Path Style…
At that moment, Hikari unleashed the sword techniques Uesugi had shown her in the Tsukuyomi space. The essence of each style flowed through her with the mastery of a decades-seasoned grandmaster, her speed defying comprehension!
The jet-black Onikiri vanished in midair, leaving only a blur of shimmering light.
This was Inuyama’s seventh-tier Instant!
The cocky look on Yorimitsu’s face faded. Under this relentless storm of attacks, even as the “malevolent ghost,” he could barely keep up, reduced to pure defense. Yet his bloodline was superior to Chisei’s—stronger, faster, and even in a defensive stance, his swordplay remained flawless, holding the line.
But…
“Can you go faster?” Hikari asked casually. As the three-tomoe Sharingan appeared in her eyes, her slashes sped up even more, tearing through Yorimitsu’s guard in a flash!
A spray of crimson blood arced through the air!
Chapter 115: Clash of Monsters! (Third Update)
As the first spray of blood erupted, more and more wounds appeared on Minamoto no Yorimitsu’s body.
For a body enhanced by dragon blood, these were just surface scratches, far from fatal. But in that moment, he realized a terrifying truth—
No matter how much strength he showed, Uchiha Hikari was always just one step ahead.
And any tricky sword technique he used? A few seconds later, Hikari would replicate it perfectly, down to the smallest detail!
This wasn’t a fair fight…
It was a cat toying with a mouse!
In fact…
Hikari’s mindset right now was pretty much that of a cat.
“Faster, faster!” her clear, girlish voice rang out from the flurry of blades, sounding more like she was playing video games with Eri than fighting. “Is this really all the Fierce Ghosts’ ‘Dragon King’ has got?!”
“…”
Yorimitsu didn’t respond, just glared at her fiercely and bit down, swallowing hard.
With that motion, his fading momentum surged back in an instant. His pale, delicate face turned ashen, fine grayish-blue scales creeping across his skin.
The same scales spread across his body, tearing his ornate geisha robes into thin shreds. Dark, bony blades protruded from the backs of his hands, like deadly scythes ready to reap lives!
Dragon transformation!
Clearly, Yorimitsu had prepped with evolution drugs before coming here.
Under the influence of the high-potency drugs, his strength and speed skyrocketed in an instant. With a ferocious swing, he knocked Onikiri aside and, for the first time, launched a fierce counterattack against Hikari!
“Now you’re starting to look the part…”
Hikari dropped her playful attitude, getting serious for the first time in this fight. She pushed her Sharingan’s dynamic vision to its limit, unleashing nearly 100% of her taijutsu prowess to meet him head-on.
Their auras climbed higher and higher!
To onlookers, their figures blurred into two whirlwinds, clashing at breakneck speed. The mere shockwaves from their sword strikes carved deep gouges into the asphalt!
And it wasn’t just the ground.
A few bikers, too close to the action, were caught in the aftermath of Hikari and Yorimitsu’s clash. In an instant, they were decapitated, their bodies shredded into a bloody mess!
Their motorcycles were next, torn apart in a shower of sparks…
During the chaos, someone tried shooting at Hikari.
But every bullet that came within two or three meters of them simply vanished—or rather, disintegrated.
If you had a high-speed camera overhead, you’d see Hikari and Yorimitsu swinging their swords dozens of times per second, their blades seeming to be in multiple places at once. Even heavy machine gun fire—dozens of rounds a second—was blocked by the dense web of sword strikes.
Only after they passed did the bullets, sliced into pieces, fall to the ground, their cut edges smooth as mirrors.
Hikari flicked a glance toward the machine gunner and unleashed an Amaterasu. Black flames erupted in the van’s cargo hold, engulfing the burly gunman, who rolled on the ground, screaming in agony.
Seeing this, the others finally caught on.
Whether they were fighting or getting beaten, they dropped their knives and guns, scrambling to get as far away as possible, leaving the battlefield to the two of them.
This level of combat was beyond hybrids—it was a duel between monsters.
Even Chisei, a royal-grade hybrid, could only watch from a distance, his expression conflicted as he directed Crow and the others to take down the remaining Fierce Ghosts.
If Hikari didn’t cheat with her ocular jutsu, this sword duel could’ve gone on for a while before a winner emerged.
But…
A little accident happened.
The Onikiri, a legendary blade from the Demon Slayer world, was well-crafted but still fell short of the alchemical weapons of the Dragon Clan world—especially compared to Yorimitsu’s cherry-red longsword.
After thousands of clashes in just a few Dark Mode few minutes, the spiritual energy imbued in the blade wore thin. The once-pristine edge started to show jagged notches.
Finally, with one more clash, Hikari’s Onikiri snapped!
The broken blade flew toward a nearby group, embedding itself in a biker’s body! He fired off a dozen wild shots before realizing his chest had been pierced, clutching his shattered heart as he collapsed.
“An opening!”
Yorimitsu’s eyes narrowed, a ruthless glint flashing as he swung his sword with unstoppable force!
Iai: First Blade!
But Hikari reached out with her left hand, grabbing his blade mid-swing, then clenched her right fist and smashed it into his chest!
Kekkei Genkai: Immortal!
Amplified by chakra and ki, the punch carried the force of a thousand tons!
BOOM!!
Yorimitsu instinctively blocked with his arm, but it was like being hit by a sledgehammer. He was sent flying out of the storm of blades, crashing into a van ten meters away!
With a deafening thud, the van caved in with a human-shaped dent. Yorimitsu spat blood, his sword arm likely broken, bones shattered in multiple places, unable to stand.
After the intense fight, the evolution drug’s effects began to fade, and his aura plummeted from its peak.
On the other side, Hikari exhaled softly, tossing the cherry-red sword aside. Her left hand, half-severed from grabbing the blade, healed in seconds.

Along with the whisper came the hollow, rhythmic clack of wooden clappers.
