"Well now, what an honor! Both leaders of the Senju clan gracing me with their presence? I'm flattered~"
Yoru feigned surprise at Tobirama's arrival—though he didn't even bother sitting up from the hot springs.
"Who are you really?" Tobirama's eyes burned with suspicion. "Why infiltrate Konoha? You're the mastermind behind Loulan's destruction of the Moon Kingdom, aren't you?"
"Maa maa, Tobirama-san, no need for the interrogation. I'm not going anywhere." Yoru lazily propped himself up, steam curling off his shoulders. "Your brother here seems far more relaxed. Take notes."
He gestured to Hashirama, who was blissfully soaking as if this were a casual meetup.
"I merely came to sightsee. No grudges, no schemes. As for Loulan? I was just... persuasive insurance."
Tobirama's scowl deepened. "You expect me to believe a threat like you waltzes into Konoha for tourism?"
"Oh? And what does the esteemed Shodaime think?" Yoru tilted his head toward Hashirama.
"Ah, Tobirama, maybe he is just relaxing—"
"Silence, brother!" Tobirama snapped. Hashirama instantly deflated like a punctured balloon.
Yoru's eyebrow twitched in amusement. So the "God of Shinobi" really gets bullied by his little brother. Priceless.
"Fine. How do I prove my innocence? Let you drag me to T&I and rifle through my memories?" His smirk was pure provocation.
"If you're volunteering, even better." Tobirama crossed his arms.
"Sorry, my mind's a private gallery. Besides—" Yoru's voice turned razor-edged. "Since when does power alone make me guilty? Or is Konoha so fragile it fears every strong visitor?"
The surrounding ANBU tensed. Few dared mock Tobirama and lived to tell the tale.
"Then you leave me no choice." Tobirama's chakra spiked. Ninja materialized around the springs, sealing all exits.
"Tobirama!" Hashirama's voice boomed with rare authority. "We agreed—no force!" He glared at the troops. "Stand down. No violence in Konoha!"
The ANBU hesitated—until Tobirama countermanded: "Hold your positions! I'll handle him myself."
In a blur, he lunged.
"TOBIRAMA—!"
Hashirama's killing intent erupted, cracking the ground like thunder—but too late. Tobirama's hand shot toward Yoru's shoulder, aiming to plant a Hiraishin seal.
Yet—
Splash!
Yoru moved faster. Time seemed to freeze as he grabbed Tobirama's head and slammed it into the water. The springs exploded in a geyser, shattering surrounding rocks.
"Gh—?!"
Tobirama shunshin'd back to his original spot—drenched, furious, and most of all, shaken.
Murmurs rippled through the ANBU:
"Lord Tobirama... outsped?"
"That's impossible! No one surpasses the 'Shinobi no Shunsoku'!"
"You—!" Tobirama surged forward again, but Hashirama yanked him back. "Enough. You can't win this."
Meanwhile, Yoru had already reclined, soaking as if nothing happened.
"Brother! A rogue element this dangerous can't roam free! He must be—"
"Would you let me browse your memories?" Hashirama suddenly asked Yoru, earnest.
Yoru snorted. "Would you?"
Hashirama blinked. "...No."
"Exactly. Now: fight or leave. You're ruining my bath."
The ANBU bristled at his audacity, but Hashirama merely sighed. "We're leaving."
"HASHIRAMA—!"
"That's an order." The Shodaime's gaze hardened. "I trust him."
Chapter 272: The Kyūbi's Descent
After they left, the hot spring owner finally crept toward Yoru, trembling.
"G-G-Guest… a-are you… comfortable?"
Yoru opened his eyes to see the man pale as a ghost, sweat dripping down his forehead.
"I’ll cover the damages. You can go."
Relieved he wasn’t being scolded, the owner bowed repeatedly before scurrying away.
"Seriously, I just came to sightsee. Was all that really necessary?"
Yoru sighed. No wonder, in his own timeline, the Third Hokage and Danzō were so quick to label outsiders as threats. That paranoid mindset? Clearly inherited from Senju Tobirama.
What he didn’t know was that an even crazier, more dangerous man was waiting for him.
Later That Evening
Fresh from the bath, Yoru strolled out humming a tune.
Reiko, arms crossed, shot him a glare.
"Did you soak your internal organs too? You took forever!" She huffed. "And those guys earlier—did you handle it? Please tell me there won’t be more trouble. I told you to suppress your chakra, but nooo—"
"Alright, alright." He ruffled her hair. "Hashirama’s a reasonable guy. No one’s coming after us."
"It’s getting late. Let’s find an inn. We’ve got plenty to see in Konoha before we leave."
Reiko groaned. "You want more fights, don’t you? I swear, you’re doing this on purpose!"
"What? It’s a nice village!" Yoru grinned, ignoring her protests. He’d come here to see Konoha in its golden age—no way he’d leave so soon.
At the Inn
Predictably, the innkeeper assumed they were a couple.
By now, Yoru was used to it. Ignoring the man’s baffled look, he booked two rooms.
(In this world, kids matured fast. Crushes at eleven, marriages by eighteen—Yoru, with his sharp features and aura, might as well have "eligible bachelor" stamped on his forehead. Reiko, trailing beside him, only fueled the assumptions.)
Reiko, of course, pouted every time he insisted on separate rooms.
Privacy? What Privacy?
Yoru slid open the window.
"Hey. Staring at my room? Not cool. Even I need privacy."
A Yamanaka clansman materialized, tense.
"Apologies. Even if the Hokage vouches for you… we can’t take chances."
"Fine. But if you disrupt my life—" Yoru’s smile didn’t reach his eyes. "—I will retaliate."
He shut the window and flopped onto the bed, flipping open a book—**"Legends of the Warring States."**
Nightfall
The village glowed under a sea of stars, lanterns flickering like fireflies. Peaceful. Beautiful.
"No wonder everyone dreams of coming here."
Then—
BOOM.
The earth quaked. A monstrous shadow slammed into the ground before him.
Roaring winds. Crushing killing intent. The air itself turned heavy, cold.
A massive, nine-tailed fox loomed, eyes burning with hatred.
"KYŪBI?!"
The Konoha shinobi on watch froze.
The strongest of the Tailed Beasts—Kurama—had arrived.
"ROAR—!"
Its scream shattered windows. One swipe of its claws—
"Damn it. Can’t I ever take a vacation?"
Yoru’s hands blurred.
"Raiton: Raging Thunder Tiger!"
A lightning beast erupted from his window, clashing with the Kyūbi’s strike.
"BOOM—!"
The explosion deafened the village. Buildings cracked. Shinobi staggered.
Reiko, gripping the wall, stared in horror.
"It’s… pure malice."
The Kyūbi recoiled, snarling at the searing lightning.
"He… blocked it?!" The shinobi gaped.
Then—a voice, dark and amused, rang from the fox’s back.
"Interesting. Besides Hashirama, you’re the first to face Kurama head-on."
A figure stood atop the beast, smirking.
"Before I fight him… let’s see what you’re made of."
Chapter 273: Even the Kyūbi is Just a Pet
At that voice, everyone turned—
Under the moonlight stood a man with flowing black hair, clad in blood-red armor. His face was sharp, his eyes crimson with three tomoe. A gunbai war fan rested on his back, a scythe in his left hand, a katana in his right. His very presence distorted the air.
"Uchiha… Madara?!"
A Konoha shinobi paled, voice trembling. "Get the Hokage—now! Only he can stop this monster!"
Madara didn’t bother stopping the fleeing ninja. His gaze locked onto Yoru, lips curling.
"Brat. Fight me. Entertain me enough, and I might let you live."
If anyone else had said that, Yoru would’ve laughed.
But this was Uchiha Madara. The man oozed such overwhelming arrogance that, for a split second, Yoru almost felt honored.
(Almost.)
"Hard pass. You want Hashirama? Go bother him. Don’t drag me into your drama."
At Yoru’s current level, he wasn’t afraid of Madara or Hashirama.
A year in this world, another stat boosted—he now stood equal to them.
A real fight? No clear winner.
Madara’s eyes narrowed.
"Refuse? Brat, no one refuses me."
Then—he moved.
Like a black lightning bolt, he blitzed forward, katana slashing down with force enough to split mountains.
"FIGHT ME!!"
Yoru sighed.
(Guess there’s no avoiding this.)
"Fine. Let’s see what the ‘Ghost of the Uchiha’ can really do."
"Shing—!"
His blade, "Hakugan", flashed—
—and in that instant, stars seemed to freeze.
No one saw Yoru move. One moment he was there, the next—
"CLANG—!!"
Sparks exploded as steel met steel. Madara’s Sharingan spun, muscles straining to overpower him—
—until lightning erupted from Yoru’s body.
"Raiton: Kangekiha!"
Madara leapt back, shocked.
(He didn’t even hand-seal?!)
"Not bad, brat. But—"
Before he could finish, Yoru vanished, reappearing inches from his face.
"Too slow."
A blinding slash—
"Gshhk!"
A line of red split Madara’s chest.
Yoru landed lightly behind him, smirking.
"Madara. If you’re gonna fight, take it seriously."
A beat of silence.
Then—
Madara laughed.
"HAH! Good… very good!" His voice darkened. "You’re the first besides Hashirama to wound me so quickly. Fine. I’ll stop holding back."
"BOOM—!"
He shattered the ground, lunging with his gunbai.
(This brat humiliated me. I’ll crush him.)
The Battle Escalates
"CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!"
Their blades clashed like thunder, each strike splitting the earth, each step cratering the ground.
Konoha shinobi stared, mesmerized.
(This isn’t a fight—it’s a natural disaster.)
Meanwhile—
Without Madara’s control, the Kyūbi rampaged.
Shinobi hurled jutsu, but most bounced harmlessly off its hide.
"Damn it! Hold the line!"
"Where’s the Hokage?!"
Just as despair set in—
"Suiton: Suiryūdan!"
A water dragon slammed into the Kyūbi, forcing it back.
"Tobirama-sama!"
The Second Hokage had arrived.
Hope surged—until the Kyūbi opened its maw, a black orb forming.
"Bijūdama?!"
The destructive sphere blasted forth—
—only for five demonic gates to erupt from the earth, deflecting it skyward.
"Shodai Hokage…!!"
Hashirama stood atop the gates, arms crossed.
"Tobirama. Evacuate the civilians. Set up barriers."
A wood clone split off, rushing toward Yoru and Madara.
(Only Hashirama could face the Kyūbi and Madara alone.)
The Kyūbi snarled—fear flickering in its eyes—before rage took over.
(Hashirama or not—I’ll kill him!)
It gathered chakra for another Bijūdama—
—but Hashirama clapped his hands.
"Mokuton: Mokujin no Jutsu!"
A colossal wooden titan, wreathed in a dragon, rose from the earth.
Before the Kyūbi could fire—
"ORA—!"
The *Mokujin’s fist *PUNCHED the half-formed Bijūdama back into its gut.
Then—it GRABBED the Kyūbi, hoisting it overhead.
The wooden dragon coiled around the fox, binding it completely.
With a mighty leap, the Mokujin carried the Kyūbi out of the village.
Chapter 274: Is This All Your Susano'o Can Do?
The Konoha shinobi watched in awe, their blood boiling with exhilaration.
The Nine-Tails—a being of legendary terror—was being manhandled by Hashirama like a misbehaving child. With bare hands, he shattered its Tailed Beast Bombs and pinned it down effortlessly.
Such godlike power!
What seemed simple for the Shodaime was unthinkable for others. To deflect a Tailed Beast Bomb barehanded? To immobilize the Nine-Tails without sealing? Only Hashirama could make the impossible look easy.
Meanwhile—
The battle between Uchiha Madara and Yoru came to an abrupt halt.
A Wood Clone of Hashirama stepped between them, its voice thunderous:
"Madara. You. Both of you. Take this outside. If you keep wrecking the village, I won’t hold back."
This wasn’t an empty threat.
Hashirama, gentle as he was, became an unstoppable force when enraged—and he meant every word.
"Fine. Let’s settle this beyond the gates, Madara." Yoru smirked, lightning crackling around him as a dragon of pure thunder formed beneath his feet, carrying him skyward.
"Brat. You dare mock me?!" Madara’s eyes darkened. No one provoked him and lived to boast about it.
"Hashirama, stay out of this. After I crush this insect, I’ll deal with you."
His Eternal Mangekyō spun, and the crimson skeleton of Susano'o erupted around him, its towering form striding toward the village outskirts.
Outside Konoha
"A half-baked Susano'o? Why not go all out? Or are you underestimating me?" Yoru taunted from atop his lightning dragon.
"Hmph. You’re not worth the full form." Madara’s voice dripped with contempt. "This isn’t a spar anymore, brat. Witness the power that reshapes continents!"
The Susano'o flared, its skeletal frame thickening into armored muscle. Three heads, six arms, twin colossal blades—a 40-meter titan that dwarfed Yoru’s dragon.
The pressure alone cracked the earth beneath it.
This was the perfect Susano'o’s precursor—the same form that had humbled the Five Kage in another timeline.
"Your end begins now."
The blades swung.
Air compressed, then detonated, carving canyons into the earth before the strike even landed.
Yet Yoru—
"Shatter."
—charged straight at it.
"Fool!" Madara laughed. The Susano'o accelerated, its blades a crimson guillotine.
But then—
RIIIIP!
A sound like the sky tearing apart.
The Susano'o—impervious to even the Nine-Tails’ fury—split like paper.
Konoha’s shinobi, miles away, felt their souls freeze.
The forest ahead? Gone. Sliced into ribbons by an invisible force.
"L-Look! The sky—!"
A ninja collapsed, pointing upward.
A scar stretched across the heavens, as though the night itself had been cleaved in two.
And then—
BOOOOOOM!
A distant mountain sheared in half, its peak crashing down in an avalanche of rubble.
"H-How…? Is this… humanly possible?!"
Even Tobirama paled. "Hashirama and Madara can alter landscapes… but this brat—! To slash through a Susano'o with pure kenjutsu?!"
Madara’s Side
"‘Power to reshape the land’? This is all you’ve got?"
Yoru stood over Madara, whose Susano'o had shattered. Two bloody gashes crossed the Uchiha’s chest.
"You’re accelerating your demise, boy," Madara growled.
Never had he been so humiliated. A swordsman outmatching his Susano'o? Unheard of!
Even Hashirama’s blade had never breached its defense.
"Oh? Then show me this ‘demise’ of yours." Yoru raised his sword, its edge humming.
"Pierce him— * (Hakkyō)!"*
Chapter 275: A Battle of Annihilation
"Whoosh!"
Yoru’s blade tore through the air, shooting straight toward Uchiha Madara. Even the legendary shinobi’s eyes narrowed in shock—he barely had time to react before the sword pierced clean through his shoulder.
Before Madara could retreat, Hakutai retracted and then shot forward again, faster this time, slicing through the air like lightning. This time, Madara managed to dodge, but only barely—and the sheer indignity of it twisted his expression into a scowl.
Who was he? The Shinobi no Retsu , the pinnacle of power in the shinobi world. Those who faced him trembled in fear, crushed beneath his overwhelming might.
And yet, here he was, forced into such a pathetic retreat by some unknown brat.
Unacceptable.
"Perfect Susano’o!"
A monstrous surge of chakra erupted from Madara, its oppressive weight distorting the very air. The ground trembled as a colossal skeletal structure burst from the earth, rapidly forming muscle, flesh, and finally, the unmistakable visage of a towering samurai.
Flames of chakra wreathed the giant as armor materialized, wings unfurled, and a snarling tengu mask formed over its face. Twin longswords rested at its waist.
And then—silence.
A 100-meter-tall titan, radiating an aura of absolute dominance, now loomed before Yoru.
The Perfect Susano’o had descended.
"Boom!"
A single step from the Susano’o shook the earth like an earthquake. With a single, devastating motion, it drew its sword and unleashed a slash—a blade of pure destruction that carved through the battlefield.
"CRACK—BOOM!"
The earth split apart in a cataclysmic explosion, a hurricane of force ripping through everything in its path.
From atop the Susano’o, Madara glared down coldly, arms crossed.
"Consider yourself honored—to die by the blade of the Perfect Susano’o."
He didn’t believe Yoru could survive this.
If the boy’s earlier swordplay could cleave a mountain, then this strike could obliterate several. The difference in power was absolute.
Yet—
"Heh. Now this is what I call a fight!"
Yoru grinned, slamming his palm onto the ground.
"Barrier Jutsu: Six Pillars Flame Formation!"
Six crimson pillars erupted around him, forming a hexagonal shield just as the Susano’o’s slash connected.
"BOOOOM—!"
The impact was like a meteor strike. A towering mushroom cloud erupted, and a shockwave of pure devastation radiated outward.
Even far away in Konoha, the ground split apart as the force of the collision reached them.
Tobirama Senju’s face paled.
"DEFENSIVE POSITIONS—NOW!"
In an instant, he created four shadow clones, each teleporting to a different edge of the village with Flying Thunder God. Hands flew through seals.
"Four Red Yang Formation!"
A barrier only usable by four Kage-level shinobi—but Tobirama’s skill allowed him to deploy a weaker version alone. It would have to be enough.
Just in time.
The shockwave hit.
"CRASH—!"
The sound alone made distant Konoha shinobi bleed from their ears. The sheer force of the collision rattled their souls.
The sight of the land outside the barrier—utterly flattened, as if made of paper—redefined the meaning of "annihilation" in their minds.
Back at the battlefield—
"Not bad, Madara. The Perfect Susano’o really lives up to its name."
Yoru smirked from within his barrier, completely unharmed.
Madara’s brow furrowed.
He had blocked it?
The mountains behind Yoru were now nothing but rubble—proof of the Susano’o’s overwhelming power.
"Hmph. Impressive. But not enough!"
Another slash. The earth screamed as it split apart.
"Let’s see how long your barrier lasts!"
Yoru couldn’t just take hits forever. Even his defenses had limits.
The Perfect Susano’o’s attacks were among the strongest in existence—second only to Six Paths power. His body trembled from the strain, blood churning in his veins.
Time to counter.
"Lightning Style: Raging Thunder Tiger!"
A storm of electricity erupted outside the barrier, coalescing into a massive, roaring beast of lightning.
"ROAR—!"
The tiger lunged—
Only for the Susano’o to punch it away, sending it crashing into the ruined mountains with enough force to create a crater like a meteor strike.
"Is that all you’ve got, brat?" Madara sneered.
Yoru just grinned and pointed upward.
"Look up, Madara."
The night sky—now a swirling mass of thunderclouds.
"RUMBLE—!"
Lightning crackled, snakes of electricity dancing violently.
"Dodge this."
Yoru raised his arm, channeling a bolt of lightning into the heavens—
Then swung down.
"Lightning Style: Raging Thunder Tiger—FULL POWER!"
"ROOOOAR—!"
A titanic head emerged from the clouds—a colossal thunder tiger, its body wreathed in storm-wrath.
Even Madara felt a flicker of alarm.
The Susano’o swung its sword—
"BOOOOOOM—!"
The collision sent another apocalyptic shockwave tearing across the land. The earth shattered, collapsing inward as the force spread.
Konoha, once again, was caught in the devastation.
"AAGH—!"
Buildings crumbled. Shinobi were thrown off their feet. The very ground quaked like the end of the world.
"When will this battle end?!"
Some were already losing hope as they watched the two titans—Yoru and the Perfect Susano’o—clash in the distance.
